Glenville District No. 5 Schoolhouse, also known as Green Corners School, is a historic one-room school building located at Glenville, Schenectady County, New York. It was built about 1825, and is a small one-story, rectangular brick building. It measures approximately 24 feet by 20 feet. It rests on a stone foundation and is surmounted by a gable roof with overhanging eaves. It functioned as a public school for first through eighth grades until it closed in 1946. The building was restored in 1976.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

It was built in 1891 and is a simple two-story, brick masonry building with a gable roof in the Italianate style. It incorporates a meeting hall, small performance stage, and village government offices.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Cranesville is a populated place situated in Montgomery County, New York, United States. It is hamlet within the town of Amsterdam on New York State Route 5, along the Mohawk River. It has an estimated elevation of 269 feet (82 m) above sea level. The community is named after early settler David Crane. Cranesville was struck by a tornado in September 2011 which caused significant tree damage along with some damage to buildings.

The Vrooman Avenue School is a historic school building located at 400 Vrooman Avenue in Amsterdam, Montgomery County, New York. It was built in 1918 and is a two-story, H-shaped, yellow brick institutional building. It features a slight projecting central pavilion at the main entrance and an elaborate stone carving depicting a child's head and a swag draped around an open book. A gymnasium was added to the main structure in 1925. The school closed in June 1975, and is now an apartment building. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Galway Lake is located west of Galway (village), New York, in the town of Galway in Saratoga County, New York, United States. The lake was first constructed in 1855 to serve as a reservoir for the nearby City of Amsterdam, and was owned by the Amsterdam Water Works Company. Galway Lake was enlarged by the creation of the Galway Lake Dam on North Chuctanunda Creek in Saratoga County, New York, once used to power various mills and industries along the creek, and is now used solely for recreation purposes. Construction of the current Galway Lake Dam was completed in 1982, after the camper association purchased it from the Amsterdam Water Works Company for $1. At normal levels it has a surface area of 564 acres (228 ha). It is property of Galway Lake Campers Association.At low levels the Lake is at 550 acres (220 ha); also, it currently permits only electric powered or sail boats. The Lake is located at latitude - longitude coordinates (also known as lat-long or GPS coordinates) of N 43.02619 and W -74.08291.
