The Strawberry Vale Estate is a housing estate in East Finchley in the London Borough of Barnet, built in the 1980s.

Finchley Lido is a leisure complex at grid reference TQ266911, just east of the suburb of North Finchley in the London Borough of Barnet. Currently there is a swimming pool and leisure centre, cinema, several food restaurants, bowling facilities and large number of car parking spaces. Finchley Lido is extremely popular with the local population of Finchley at weekends, as it is one of the only cinema complexes in this area of North London.

Hawthorne Dene is a grade II* listed building in Strawberry Vale, East Finchley, in London. It borders the North Circular Road. The house was built by James Frost in 1826 who acquired land in the area in 1818. It is known for its innovative construction methods which include concrete and cast iron ceilings and banisters. It was listed in 1962 following a campaign by the comedian Spike Milligan.

London Greek Radio (LGR) is an Independent Local Radio station for London's Greek community, most of which forms part of the ethnically diverse Cypriot community. It broadcasts in both Greek and English and includes news from the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC).LGR was first founded in October 1983 by George Power (later to set up Kiss FM) and started life as a pirate radio station. On 13 November 1989, it commenced legal broadcasting as part of the Independent Broadcasting Authority incremental radio licenses. It initially shared its frequency with another former pirate station, WNK. They become the first stations to share a frequency and they alternated every four hours. This continued until 1993 when WNK went into liquidation and closed down.It is currently based in the North London suburb of Finchley. The station has a focus on Greek and Cypriot music, with some music sung in Armenian and Turkish. It serves advertising for many Greek and Cypriot run businesses in and around North London. LGR has recently increased its English language air-time due to a lack of Greek-speaking young Londoners listening, particularly in the evenings as part of the New Generation show. According to market research from 2007, its audience today consists mainly of Greek Cypriots and other Greeks, as well as Turkish, Armenian and Maronite Cypriots. Listeners also include other people of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean ancestry, especially Arabs and Jews, and Italians.

St Pancras and Islington Cemetery is a cemetery in East Finchley, North London. Although it is situated in the London Borough of Barnet, it is run as two cemeteries, owned by two other London Boroughs, Camden (formerly St Pancras) and Islington. The fence along the boundary which runs west to east between the two parts of the cemetery has been removed, although the line of it is still marked. St Pancras and Islington is the third-largest single cemetery serving London, and in burial numbers, it is the largest in the UK with around one million interments and cremations. The cemetery is designated Grade II* on the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England.The cemetery was the first publicly-owned cemetery in London.

Woodhouse College is a single site selective state sixth form centre situated between North Finchley and Friern Barnet on the eastern side of the London Borough of Barnet in North London, England. It is one of the most successful sixth form colleges in England and is a member of The Maple Group. It was formerly a state grammar school, known as Woodhouse Grammar School.

Woodhouse Grammar School was a secondary school in Woodhouse Road, North Finchley, in the London Borough of Barnet. The school took in new pupils from 1944 to 1978 at which time the final intake of first years entered and it was called Woodhouse College. There was then a 5 year transition period while the existing school pupils worked their way through year groups, with a gradual increase in lower sixth intake from other schools.
