CFFF-FM is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts at 92.7 FM in Peterborough, Ontario. The broadcast facility, which uses the on-air name Trent Radio, was previously licensed as the campus radio station of the city's Trent University, but now operates under an independent community radio license. Trent Radio is producer-oriented, and features over 100 long-running and new programs from students and community members, operating over three seasons per year. All students and community members are welcome to submit applications for programming and membership.

Master's College and Seminary (MCS) is Pentecostal theological institute in Peterborough and Toronto, Ontario, that consists of a residential Bible college, a church-based seminary in Toronto affiliated with Tyndale Seminary at Tyndale University, and the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.

The Peterborough Folk Festival is a three-day music, arts, and community festival in Peterborough, Ontario. The festival is a non-profit organization which receives funding from the Lloyd Carr-Harris Foundation, The Department of Canadian Heritage -Arts Presentation Canada Program, and The City of Peterborough as well as private and corporate donations. It is one of the last free folk festivals in Ontario. The mandate of the PFF is to present high-quality music from a broad range of genres and cultures, as well as to foster community education and interaction. In 2001, the PFF introduced the Emerging Artist Award. Designed to promote and support young artists from the Peterborough Region, the award is given annually to an artist who has demonstrated skill as a songwriter and performer. The first winner of this award was Canadian musician Serena Ryder.

The Riverview Park & Zoo is a park and zoo located in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Riverview Park & Zoo began in 1933 when the venue was opened by Ross Dobbin and is now owned by the City of Peterborough (since 1968 operated and maintained by the Peterborough Utilities Group). In addition to its animal exhibits, the zoo features a miniature train ride, a F-86 Sabre fighter aircraft on display and the park contains a disc golf course. Admission and parking is free.

Emmanuel United Church is a church located in the downtown core of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Originally Methodist, since 1925 it has belonged to the United Church of Canada. The church was built between 1873 and 1875, with the tower being completed in 1891, and was designed by Henry Langley in the Gothic Revival style. It is designated under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act by the City of Peterborough By-Law 1990-204 as being of cultural heritage value or interest.The congregation is an amalgamation of George Street United Church (formerly George Street Methodist Church), which has worshiped at this site since 1875, and St. Andrew's United Church (formerly St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church). After the 2016 amalgamation, they alternated between the two church buildings until St. Andrew's was sold in 2017 and now meet solely at the George Street building.

Peterborough City Hall is the seat of municipal government of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. It is a 2+1⁄2-storey building, located at 500 George Street North, across the street from Confederation Park, the Drill Hall and Armouries and Peterborough Collegiate. The complex consists of two buildings: the City Hall built in 1951 and the former Carnegie Library built in 1911.

The Peterborough Museum & Archives, formerly the Peterborough Centennial Museum and Archives (PCMA), is a historical museum located in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Found only a short distance from the Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site of the Peterborough Lift Lock, the museum has a history spanning well over a century and is home to the second oldest historical collection of its kind within Ontario. Thousands of linear feet of archival materials and over 33,000 artifacts are included in the collection of which only 3% is displayed at any one time due to space restrictions.

PACE at Peterborough Collegiate, formerly Peterborough Collegiate Vocational School, is a public secondary school located in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada and is a member of the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board. It is one of the oldest public schools in the country and was the only public high school in the city of Peterborough until the opening of Kenner Collegiate Vocational Institute in 1952. Regular student programming ended at Peterborough Collegiate Vocational School in June 2012. The building was renamed Peterborough Collegiate and in August 2012 opened as a re-purposed facility offering alternative and continuing education (ACE).Peterborough Collegiate was founded in 1827 as the Peterborough Government School on the former property of Central Public School. Since then it has been moved to different locations throughout the central part of the city with various names and types of programming. It reached its peak enrollment in 1959 with 1402 students and used additional buildings to accommodate the students of the baby boom. At the turn of the twenty-first century, the trend of declining enrollment had reduced the school student population to 800 students with approximately one third in the Integrated Arts and English Language Learners programs.

Immaculate Conception Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. It is located at 386 Rogers Street in the city's East City neighbourhood. It was the third parish church established in Peterborough. The Neoclassical building was designed by Arthur W. Holmes and completed in 1930.

The Peterborough Lift Lock is a boat lift located on the Trent Canal in the city of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, and is Lock 21 on the Trent-Severn Waterway. For many years, the lock's dual lifts were the highest hydraulic boat lifts in the world, raising boats 65 ft (20 m). This was a considerable accomplishment in the first years of the 20th century, when conventional locks usually only had a 7 ft (2.1 m) rise. In the 1980s, a visitor centre was built beside the lock. It offers interactive simulations of going over the lift lock in a boat, and historical exhibits detailing the construction of the lift lock. Residents and visitors skate on the canal below the lift lock in the winter. The Peterborough Lift Lock was designated a National Historic Site in 1979, and was named an Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in 1987.The Trent-Severn has a similar hydraulic lift lock, the Kirkfield Lift Lock, at its summit near Kirkfield, with basins of the same dimensions, but which has a smaller vertical lift.
