Mallow General Hospital

Mallow College of Further Education is a regional further education college campus of the Cork Education and Training Board, based in Mallow, County Cork in Ireland. Originally established as Mallow Vocational School in 1932, it was relocated from the town centre to its current location in the 1940s. In 1990, it was renamed Davis College in honour of Mallow-born writer Thomas Davis. In 2001, the secondary school was moved to its current location in Summerhill and its further education section, originally just two courses (business studies and computer studies for adults and secretarial), took up sole occupancy on the "Annabella" campus at West End street where it remains today. In 2016, Mallow College of Further Education was given its own independent status as a college separate from Davis College.

Mourne Abbey, or Mourneabbey, (Irish: Mainstir na Móna) is a small civil and Roman Catholic parish in the barony of Barretts, northwest County Cork, Ireland. The parish is situated just south of Mallow, on the main Mallow-Cork Road and Rail Line. The population of the parish is about 1,000 people. There are two churches and schools in the area, Analeentha and Burnfort. The civil parish consists of 17 townlands.

Mallow (; Irish: Mala) is a town in County Cork, Ireland, approximately thirty-five kilometres north of Cork. Mallow is in the barony of Fermoy. It is the administrative centre of north County Cork, and the Northern Divisional Offices of Cork County Council are located in the town. Mallow is part of the Cork East Dáil constituency.

New Twopothouse (Irish: Tigh Nua an Dá Phota) is a small village and census town in County Cork, Ireland. It is located in the civil parish of Caherduggan, on the N20 road between Mallow and Buttevant. The area takes its name from an 18th century coaching inn, the "Two-Pot House Inn", which was (in turn) reputedly named for two large beer "pots" which were placed outside the inn. In the 19th century, when a newer Cork to Limerick road (now the N20) was built, a coaching stop was opened and it was named "New Two-Pot-House" to distinguish it from the coaching stop on the older road.The local Roman Catholic church, St. Joseph the Worker church, is in the neighbouring townland of Twoposthouse (sometimes known as Old Twopothouse) and was built c. 1925. The national (primary) school in New Twopothouse, Baltydaniel National School, had 209 pupils enrolled as of 2019.New Twopothouse was designated as a census town by the Central Statistics Office for the first time in the 2016 census, at which time it had a population of 120 people.

Davis College, Mallow (Irish: Coláiste Dáibhís) is a co-educational community college under the auspices of County Cork Educational Training Board (Cork ETB), founded in 1932. It is currently located in Summerhill, Mallow, County Cork, Ireland. Davis College is a co-educational and serves an urban and rural catchment area in North Cork. The school has a current enrollment of 651 second-level students. The school is a participant in the Delivering Equality of Opportunity in Schools (DEIS) initiative. The school colours are maroon, grey and gold. The school roll number is 71020G.

Mallow GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the town of Mallow, County Cork, Ireland. The club fields teams in hurling,Gaelic football,Camogie and Ladies Gaelic Football (LGFA). The club's hurling team currently competes in the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship having been relegated from the Cork Senior A Hurling Championship in 2023. The club's Gaelic football team competes in the Cork Premier Senior Football Championship having won the Cork Senior A Football Championship in 2021.

Ballybeg Priory (Irish: Prióireacht an Bhaile Bhig), also known as Ballybeg Abbey, the Abbey of St Thomas, and St Thomas's Priory, is a 13th-century priory of the Augustinian order near the town of Buttevant, County Cork, Ireland. It is home to one of the best preserved and most substantial dovecots in Ireland. The priory was founded in 1229 and dissolved in 1541, the land and buildings passing into private hands. Those parts of the buildings that have escaped from the stone being removed for use in other buildings are mostly late medieval. Along with Bridgetown Priory near Castletownroche, Ballybeg priory is one of only two substantial Augustinian monasteries in County Cork.The abbey, dovecot, and nearby tower known both as Ballybeg Castle and as Ballybeg Tower, are collectively considered a National Monument in State Care (#301).

The Buttevant Franciscan Friary is a ruined 13th-century Franciscan friary is situated in the middle of the town of Buttevant, County Cork, Ireland. The Augustinian friary in nearby Ballybeg is often confused with the Buttevant Franciscan Friary in historical documents.

The Buttevant Rail Disaster was a train crash that occurred on 1 August 1980 at Buttevant Railway Station, County Cork, in Ireland, 220 kilometres (137 mi) from Dublin on the main line to Cork. More than 70 people were injured, and 18 died, in one of Ireland's worst rail disasters.

Doneraile Court is a late-17th century country house near the town of Doneraile in County Cork, Ireland. It stands in 160 hectares (400 acres) of walled parkland known as Doneraile Park or Doneraile Estate. The house remained the seat of the St Leger family from the time of construction until the mid-20th century. The park, which is managed by the Office of Public Works (OPW), is open all year with free admission. As of 2023, Donerail Park was the most visited free tourist attraction in County Cork, and the fifth most visited OPW site in the country.
