Garraunbaun

Farbreague (Irish: Fear Bréige, meaning 'False Man') is a mountain (Marilyn) in Offaly, Ireland. It is a popular walking destination in Offaly. At 430 metres (1,410 ft) high, it is the sixth-highest mountain in Offaly, the eighth-highest mountain in the Slieve Bloom Mountains and the 798th-highest summit in Ireland.

Ballaghmore (historically Bellaghmore, from Irish: an Bealach Mór, meaning 'the great way') is a small village located on the western side of County Laois, Ireland, southwest of Portlaoise. It is approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) east of Roscrea. The village is in the civil parish of Kyle in the historic barony of Clandonagh.

Kyle GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association hurling club in County Laois, Ireland. Located near Ballaghmore on the County Laois-County Tipperary border, the club colours are blue and white.

Arderin (Irish: Ard Éireann, meaning 'Ireland's Height') is a mountain on the border between Laois and Offaly in Ireland. With a height of 527 metres (1,729 ft) it is the highest point in the Slieve Bloom Mountains, and is the highest point in both County Laois and County Offaly. An Arderin is also a descriptive word for a specific category of Irish mountains in the series of lists maintained by Irish mountain database, MountainViews; those over 500m with a prominence of at least 30m. This list, along with other complementary ones, has been published in book form by Collins Press. Mountainviews.ie classifies a mountain as being above 500m, but also maintains a number of lists of hills below this threshold.

Aghagurty was the ancestral home of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, the only Catholic signatory of the American Declaration of Independence, whose grandfather, Charles Carroll the Settler, is believed to have been born in the locality—his father being known as Daniel Carroll of Aghagurty and Littermurna.

Coolderry (Irish: Cúl Doire) is a small roadside village in southern County Offaly, Ireland. It is located 8 kilometres north of Roscrea and 11 kilometres south of Birr. The village lies close to the Slieve Bloom Mountains. Places of note include Gloster House and Leap Castle.

Civil Defence Ireland (Irish: Cosaint Shibhialta na hÉireann) is the national civil defence organisation of Ireland. It is a statutory agency of the Irish Department of Defence and is administered by local authorities. It was established in 1951 in response to the threat of nuclear disaster posed by the atomic bomb following World War II. Today it is an emergency response and rescue agency whose purpose is to provide aid, assistance and relief in times of emergency or natural disaster. It may also support primary emergency response agencies namely the Garda Síochána, HSE National Ambulance Service, and local authority fire services when requested. Civil Defence Ireland consists almost entirely of volunteers, numbering 2500 as of May 2023.

The club is centred on the town of Roscrea. The club's colours are red and white and they play at Páirc Naomh Cronáin (English: St. Cronan's Park). This was the venue for the 1949 All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship Final.
