Arderin (Irish: Ard Éireann, meaning 'Ireland's Height') is a mountain on the border between Laois and Offaly in Ireland. With a height of 527 metres (1,729 ft) it is the highest point in the Slieve Bloom Mountains, and is the highest point in both County Laois and County Offaly. An Arderin is also a descriptive word for a specific category of Irish mountains in the series of lists maintained by Irish mountain database, MountainViews; those over 500m with a prominence of at least 30m. This list, along with other complementary ones, has been published in book form by Collins Press. Mountainviews.ie classifies a mountain as being above 500m, but also maintains a number of lists of hills below this threshold.

Kinnitty Castle or Castle Bernard is a 19th-century gothic revival castle and hotel in Kinnitty (Cionn Eitigh), County Offaly, Ireland. It is located contiguous to Droughtville and Lettybrook, north of the Slieve Bloom Mountains on the R421 regional road between the villages of Kinnitty and Cadamstown. A nearby pyramid was built by the Bernard family who resided in the castle.

Cadamstown, historically called Ballymacadam (Irish: Baile Mhic Ádaim, meaning 'MacAdam's town'), is a small village in County Offaly, Ireland. It lies on the R421 regional road, just north of the Slieve Bloom Mountains. It is about 20 km from Tullamore and 6 km from Kinnitty.

Castleconor (Irish: Caisleán Uí Chonchúir) is a mountain in Laois, Ireland. Castleconor's summit is at an altitude of 407 metres (1,335 feet) making it the fourth-highest point in Laois, the ninth-highest point in the Slieve Bloom Mountains and the 907th-highest summit in Ireland.

Aghagurty (Irish: Áth an Ghorta) is a townland in County Offaly, Ireland. It is approximately 1.5 square kilometres (0.6 sq mi) in area. Aghagurty was the ancestral home of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, the only Catholic signatory of the American Declaration of Independence, whose grandfather, Charles Carroll the Settler, is believed to have been born in the locality—his father being known as Daniel Carroll of Aghagurty and Littermurna.

It is the most northerly summit of the Slieve Bloom range.
