The BANK of Greenland (Danish: GrønlandsBANKEN) is one of two commercial banks in Greenland, listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange as GRLA, with 2,700 shareholders in 2017. Headquartered in Nuuk, the bank had 118 employees in 2017.

Nuuk Centrum is a district of Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. Together with the Old Nuuk neighborhood, it encompasses the southern and central part of the town. Most of the institutions and businesses are based in the district.

The Public and National Library of Greenland (Greenlandic: Nunatta Atuagaateqarfia) is the public and national library of Greenland, located in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. It is the largest reference library in the country, devoted to the preservation of national cultural heritage and history.

Blok P, in Nuuk, was the largest residential building in all of Greenland. It contained around 320 apartments and it is said that approximately 1% of the total population of the entire island lived in the building. The building was demolished on 19 October 2012.

Katuaq (Danish: Grønlands Kulturhus) is a cultural centre in Nuuk, Greenland. It is used for concerts, exhibitions, conferences, and as a cinema. Designed by Schmidt Hammer Lassen, it was constructed as a joint project of the Greenland Home Rule Government, the Nuuk Municipal Council and the Nordic Council of Ministers and was inaugurated on 15 February 1997.

Queen Ingrid's Hospital (Greenlandic: Dronning Ingridip Napparsimmavissua) is a hospital in Nuuk, Greenland. The hospital not only serves as the main hospital for the municipality but is the central hospital in all of Greenland. The hospital has 185 beds. There is a 12-bed psychiatric ward. Some forensic patients have to be transferred to a special ward in Denmark.

Nuuk Center, also shortened NC, is a shopping mall located in Nuuk, Greenland. The mall, which is the first shopping mall in Greenland, was inaugurated on July 27, 2012. Located next door to the Katuaq Culture Centre, the mall is focused on offering services to a broad spectrum of customers. Above the mall is an 8-story office tower with 7,000 square metres of space.Nuuk Center is the largest and tallest building in Greenland.

Atuagkat Bookstore (Danish: Atuagkat Boghandel) is a bookstore in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland, located 100 m (330 ft) north of the Katuaq Culture Centre in the Nuuk Centrum. Founded in 1976, it is the largest and the oldest privately owned bookstore in the country.The selection at the bookstore is limited to high-importance publications related to the Arctic, with a focus on Greenland, its history, culture, nature, economy, and politics, including publications from the Government of Greenland and the Documentation Centre on Children and Youth (MIPI, from the Greenlandic Meeqqat Inuusuttullu Pillugit Ilisimasaqarfik), in cooperation with the Ministry for Social Affairs.Atuagkat does not carry genre fiction, focusing instead on literary fiction from both Greenland and Denmark. The bookstore also carries a comprehensive collection of maps of Greenland, including maps of the Northeast Greenland National Park.

The Inatsisartut (Greenlandic: Inatsisartut; Greenlandic pronunciation: ​[inatt͡sisɑtːʉt] Danish: Landstinget, lit. 'the land's-thing of Greenland'), also known as the Parliament of Greenland in English, is the unicameral parliament (legislative branch) of Greenland, an autonomous territory in the Danish realm. Established in 1979, it meets in Inatsisartut, on the islet of Nuuk Center in central Nuuk. There are 31 members, who are elected for four-year periods by proportional representation.

Kalaaliaraq Market (Danish: Brædtet) is a fresh food market in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. It is located in the Old Nuuk neighborhood, approximately 150 m (490 ft) to the southeast of the Nuuk Cathedral, and its name means "The little Greenlander" in the Greenlandic language. It is the largest fresh food market in Greenland.

Christ the King (Danish: "Kristus Kongens" sogn) is a parish of the Catholic Church in the city of Nuuk, Greenland. It is the only parish of the Catholic Church in Greenland. The parish uses the Latin rite and is under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Copenhagen. Although Catholicism arrived in Greenland around the year 1000, when the first churches were built on the island in the thirteenth century most of the settlers had left the scene or had died. After the Protestant Reformation of the fifteenth century, the activities of the Catholic Church were limited. Most Christianity in Greenland was Danish Lutheran denominations. Today, most of the congregation is made up of foreigners and a small group of locals. In 1980 the Sisters of Jesus established a small convent.Sunday masses are on 17:00 (5:00 pm) and are followed by a dinner.

Old Nuuk may refer to several neighborhoods of Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. The Lutheran mission was originally based on Hope Island at the head of the fjord but was moved to the mainland and christened Godthaab by the royal governor Claus Paarss in 1728. Dotted with prefabricated, single-family houses, the neighborhood is also host to two of the oldest cemeteries and the Kalaaliaraq Market. Today, it is part of the Nuuk Centrum district, located in the southwestern part of the town, facing the Nuup Kangerlua fjord. Several historical buildings are located in Old Nuuk: Church of our Savior, the Lutheran Nuuk Cathedral (Annaassisitta Oqaluffia) Statue of Hans EgedeThe Queen Ingrid's Hospital separates Nuuk Centrum and the other old part of Nuuk, the Noorliit area. Noorliit was formerly the site of the Moravian mission of New Herrnhut (German: Neu-Herrnhut; Danish: Nye-Hernhut). The missionaries Matthaeus Stach, Christian Stach, and Christian David arrived in 1733 and had won enough converts to formally established the settlement in 1747. It was named for the community established by the Count of Zinzendorf at Berthelsdorf in Saxony which became the center of the Moravian Church. The Moravian Brethren Mission House was raised the same year and was the first church to be constructed in Greenland (at that point, the Lutheran mission at Godthaab used a chapel within the main house). The two missions operated differently and functioned as two separate settlements until the Moravian mission left Greenland in 1900.
