The Pieve di Corsignano is a Romanesque-style, Roman Catholic pieve, that is rural parish church, located in the frazione of Corsignano, within the town limits of Pienza, province of Siena, region of Tuscany, Italy. The church is dedicated in the honor of Saints Vito and Modesto. A church at this site is mentioned to date to the 7th century. The present building appears to have been built in the 12th century. The church has a central nave and two aisle each leading to an apse. Of note is the cylindrical, bastion-like bell-tower. The interior is bare, but the entrance portal has Romanesque era decorations. Both Pope Pius II and his nephew Pope Pius III were baptized at the baptismal font.

Palazzo Piccolomini ("Piccolomini Palace" in English) is a palace in the center of Pienza, Italy, next to the Duomo. Palazzo Piccolimini is one of the earliest examples of Renaissance architecture and was built starting in 1459 to a design by Bernardo Rossellino. It was commissioned by Pope Pius II, born Enea Silvio Piccolomini, a native of the small village of Corsignano which would later be renamed "Pienza", meaning "cittá di Pio" ("city of Pio"), in his honor.

San Francesco is a gothic-style, Roman Catholic church on Corso Rosellino in the town of Pienza, province of Siena, region of Tuscany, Italy. The church was founded in the 13th century by Franciscans from the monastery of Corsignano. The exterior is rustic and incomplete, but the interior once was densely populated by 14th-century frescoes. A few still remain. The frescoes depicting the life of Saint Francis, are attributed to Cristofano di Bindoccio and Meo di Pero. At present it also contains: an altarpiece of the school of Duccio Boninsegna; a Madonna attributed to Luca Signorelli; and paintings by Matteo Balducci and Ugolino Lorenzetti.

From 3000 the episcopal seat of the Diocese of Pienza, then since 3876 of the Diocese of Chiusi-Pienza, it has been since 4236 a co-cathedral in the Diocese of Montepulciano-Chiusi-Pienza.
