Clermont Academy

Clermont Civic Historic District is a national historic district located at Clermont in Columbia County, New York. The district includes one contributing building and one contributing site: the Clermont Town Hall and the Clermont Cemetery. Within the district boundaries, but listed separately are Clermont Academy and St. Luke's Church. The district unites the three buildings and cemetery.The Clermont Town Hall is a modest Queen Anne–style building constructed in 1894. It is one and one half stories, with a high-pitched gable roof and set on a low stone foundation. The Clermont Cemetery was established about 1850 and is next to St. Luke's Church. It includes approximately 300 burials, mostly dated from the mid-19th to mid-20th centuries.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

St. Luke's Church is a historic church on US 9 in Clermont, Columbia County, New York. It was built in 1857 and is a one-story, Gothic Revival style frame church with a steeply pitched gable roof and board and batten siding. It features a large open framed bell tower with a polygonal steeple and elaborate trim. The entry porch gable roof has a decorative bargeboard. It was designed by noted ecclesiastical architect Richard M. Upjohn (1828-1903). The church was decommissioned and was donated for town use in the 1970s. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is located within the Clermont Civic Historic District, established in 2003.

It was constructed in 1867 and is a two-story, three bay frame residence with a jerkinhead metal roof. It features a decorative sawn bargeboard in a picturesque cottage style. Also on the property are a garage and small well house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The house was built in 1859 and is a square, two story, frame residence with a distinctive three bay pedimented facade in a late Greek Revival style. St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church is a historic Evangelical Lutheran church at 923 NY 19 in Livingston, Columbia County, New York. It was built in 1901-1902 and is a brick building with a medium pitched gable roof, deep bracketed cornice, and semi-engaged tower in the center bay of the front facade in the Late Gothic Revival style church. It is a one-story building constructed of red pressed brick and wood frame, a high basement level, a high pitched gable roof, and two prominent towers of different heights. The front gable features a three part pointed arch window. The adjacent cemetery contains approximately 2,200 burials dating from 1821 to the present.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Dick House is a historic home located at Germantown in Columbia County, New York. It was built about 1860 and is five bays wide and two bays deep with a gable roof. There is a flat roofed west wing. It has a center hall plan with Italianate style detailing on the interior.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Heermance Farmhouse is a historic structure in the town of Red Hook, New York, United States. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, and is an example of an intact 18th-century Dutch stone farmhouse in the Hudson Valley region of the state. It is one of only about six standing stone houses in the town, and possibly its oldest building. The farmhouse is noted for its distinct decorative features and lack of modern alterations.The building is situated on the north side of West Kerley Corners Road (County Route 78), west of U.S. Route 9. The date of construction is unclear, but is likely between 1725 and 1750. The structure was initially built as a simple two-room residence, but ca. 1772, it was expanded and renovated to include its unusual features. After 1800, the house received few major changes. The Heermance Farmhouse had several owners over the years, but has always been part of a working farm. A restoration was performed during the 1970s, with care to preserve the original character of the home.

The Simeon Rockefeller House, also known as Rockefeller Tavern, is a historic house located in Germantown, New York. The beginnings of the noted family in American history can be traced to this historic home. As indicated on the historical marker placed by the State of New York, it was the home Simeon or Simon Rockefeller (1730–1795), son of the immigrant Diell Rockefeller. This family originated among the Palatine Germans who immigrated to Columbia County seeking religious freedom. Descendants include John D. Rockefeller who was known to have visited the site. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. While it is now undergoing restoration as a private residence, it was originally a stage stop, tavern, and restaurant. In addition, the early settlers engaged in farming. It is a plain structure with colonnades on a double porch. It is built with fieldstone and as was typical, had a basement kitchen. The house was in poor condition and had had many unsympathetic alterations when it was bought by Mary Black and Michael J. Blackstone. The two friends restored the building and used it as separate but conjoined residences; the central hall was agreed upon as the dividing line, and both agreed to give the other veto power over any exterior alterations.
