Riga Region (Latvian: Rīgas reģions), officially Riga Planning Region (Latvian: Rīgas plānošanas reģions) and shortened as RPR is one of five planning regions of Latvia, situated in the central part of Latvia, in and around the metropolis of Riga and along the shores of the Gulf of Riga. The state institution was founded on 12 October 2006, based on the creation of the region territory as prescribed by Regulations No. 133 of the Cabinet of Ministers as of 25 March 2003, the "Regulations on Territories of Planning Regions".

Pierīga Region is one of the six statistical regions of Latvia.

Kurzeme District (Latvian: Kurzemes rajons) is one of six administrative districts of Riga, the capital of Latvia. Kurzeme is the Latvian name for Courland, a historical and cultural region of Latvia.

Buļļu Sala (also known as Daugavgrīvas Sala) is an island in the Kurzeme District of Riga, Latvia.

Imanta Station is a railway station on the Torņakalns – Tukums II Railway. It's located near and named after the Imanta neighborhood of the Kurzeme District of Riga, Latvia. All electric trains of the line stop at the station.

Ziepniekkalns is a neighborhood of Riga, Latvia. It is located in the Pārdaugava section of Riga close to the city's southern border. Ziepniekkalns is the latest out of all Riga's neighborhoods. It was built in the late 1980s and early 1990s and mostly consists of Soviet-built 10 story apartment buildings. However, there are still many older buildings in Ziepniekkalns constructed in the early 1960s. There is a major contrast between older 3 story buildings and newer 10 story ones. In the mid-1990s, route 19 trolleybus was extended to the heart of new Ziepniekkalns and now final stop is at the Mego supermarket. The trolleybus route 4 runs through the city center to Jugla.

Imanta is a neighbourhood on the western edge of Riga, Latvia. The neighbourhood's northern border is Kurzeme Prospekts (Boulevard); and in the south, Imanta is separated from the newer Zolitūde neighbourhood by the Riga—Jūrmala railroad. Prior to development, the region consisted largely of pine forests, sections of which have been preserved in Anninmuiza Park in the center of Imanta, and the Kleistu forest to its north.

Zolitūde Station is a railway station on the Torņakalns–Tukums II Railway.

Bolderāja Lutheran Church (Latvian: Bolderājas evaņģēliski luteriskā baznīca) is a Lutheran church in Riga, the capital of Latvia. It is a parish church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia. The building is situated at the address Lielā iela 45. The wooden church was built in 1875.

Zolitūde (Latvian pronunciation: [ˈzɔlituːde]) is mainly an apartment house neighbourhood (or microdistrict) located in the western part of Riga, the capital of Latvia. Zolitūde is a centrally planned estate, consisting mostly of prefabricated concrete block Brutalist style homes built in late Soviet times. Construction started in 1984, and was mostly halted in 1991, when Latvia obtained its independence from the USSR. Large parts of the population, as in similar neighbourhoods of Riga, are Russian speaking. Zolitūde had been a mixture of council housing and co-operative flats, but many properties have been privatised since the fall of the Soviet Union.

Assumption of the Most Holy Virgin Mary Church (Latvian: Bolderājas Vissvētākās Jaunavas Marijas Debesīs uzņemšanas Romas katoļu baznīca) is a catholic church in Bolderāja, a suburb of Riga, Latvia. The church is situated at the address 17 Goba Street.

Bolderāja is a neighbourhood of Riga, the capital of Latvia. It is located on the left bank of the Daugava River, in Kurzeme District. Bolderāja probably began as a fishing village. The area has been inhabited since at least the 10th century and possibly for a longer period, however there is no firm evidence because of variations in the course of the Daugava River and the shifting of sand dunes. The area was made into a Polish customs post in 1606. The wooden houses built during the Polish era in 1603 may be the oldest in Riga. Bolderāja was the last district added to the city of Riga in 1924. Bolderāja was a district consisting mostly of private houses and low rise buildings, but after the 1970s five to nine floor blocks of flats were built by the Soviet government. The population of Bolderāja is largely Russian-speaking. From time immemorial the inhabitants of the area around the mouth of the Daugava river were renowned for being hard-working and courageous. River mouths were historically key strategic positions. Consequently, many battles were fought with numerous invaders.
