Santa Ponsa (Catalan and officially: Santa Ponça) is a small town in the southwest of Mallorca. Located in the municipality of Calvià, it is 18 kilometres from the capital Palma.

El Toro (translation: "the bull") is a neighborhood in the municipality of Calvià on the island of Majorca, part of the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. It is located in an area known as Ses Penyes Rotges. El Toro is adjacent to the Santa Ponsa Golf II, to the north, the urbanized Nova Santa Ponsa on the west, the Son Ferrer to the east. Paseo Calviá, a promenade of the municipality, passes through El Toro. El Toro is a seaside community, next to a cliff. Many of the houses are built to the edge of the cliff. It has a harbor, Port Adriano, and a hotel. The main beach is Racó de sa Fragata. There are also two smaller beaches, one of which is only accessible by boat or by swimming. The population is approximately 2,321 inhabitants.

The Puig de sa Morisca Archaeological Park is located in Santa Ponsa in the municipality of Calvià on the island of Majorca, part of the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. Puig de sa Morisca (translation: "Moorish Peak") is a hill, preserved in 2002 as an archaeological park. The park is 35 hectares (85 acres) in size and open to the public. The park contains more than 15 sites and nine architectural elements that are ethnologically interesting. One of these sites, the Son Ferrer tomb, was excavated from 2000 through 2009, a joint project of the University of the Balearic Islands, University of Barcelona, and University of Valencia. In addition, the site features Balearic flora found within a 10 km (6.2 mi) radius.

Son Ferrer is a new village in the municipality of Calvià on the island of Majorca, part of the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. Son Ferrer is located about 20 km (12 mi) from the capital, Palma de Mallorca. Its neighbors include La Porrassa to the east, El Toro to the west, Santa Ponsa to the northwest, and the forested area of Cala Figuera. Son Ferrer is surrounded by forests of pine and is adjacent to farms. It is divided into two zones, a commercial area and a residential area. The census in 2008 was 5666 inhabitants. Amenities include a community swimming pool built in 2008, and a golf course to the south and west near the Puig de Saragossa. Paseo Calviá, a promenade of the municipality, passes through Son Ferrer. A peculiarity of the town is that every street except for one, the Ca'n Ferrer, is named after a bird. Commercial streets carry names of large birds, while the residential areas have small bird street names. The town has its own football team, CF Son Ferrer.

The Mallorca Golf Open was a professional golf tournament held from 21–24 October 2021 at Golf Santa Ponsa in Mallorca, Spain. Intended as a one-off event, the tournament was the first European Tour played in Mallorca since the Iberdrola Open in 2011. Jeff Winther shot 62 twice en route to a one-shot victory. In August 2022, it was announced that the tournament would return for a second time.

Galatzó is a settlement in the municipality of Calvià on the island of Majorca, part of the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. It is located in Pillo and neighbors Santa Ponsa, Paguera, and Son Ferrer. Construction began in the late 1970s. It was a project of the cooperative Pablo Iglesias who took the initiative for social housing in the municipality. It has schools, a sports hall, a bowling club, and other forms of entertainment. The most famous landmark is the mill of Santa Ponsa, located next to the roundabout junction of the Palma-Andratx and Santa Ponsa, Calvià. The mill was restored in a project created by a municipal school workshop. Galatzó has a registered population of 1598 inhabitants.

La Porrassa is a small farm town in the municipality of Calvià on the island of Majorca, part of the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. It is adjacent to Son Ferrer to the west and Magaluf to the south. The municipality's promenade, the Paseo Calvia, winds through La Porrassa. It has a population of approximately 128 inhabitants.

Western Water Park is a water park, located in Magaluf, Mallorca, Spain. The park consists of three areas: Western Land, Indian Town and El Paso. The park has the eleventh-highest slide in the world named The Beast together with El Salto del Diablo (The Devil's Drop) in Aquarama.

Peguera (translation from Catalan: "oven tar"; and the spelling on official road signs) is a tourist town in the municipality of Calvià on the island of Majorca (Mallorca in Spanish and Catalan), part of the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. It has three large beaches and hundreds of hotels, hostels and apartments. The population is approximately 3,988 inhabitants. The town's name refers to the oven tar produced in this area from the pitch of pine tree resin. Paguera, an alternative spelling apparently used locally, is a beach resort in the very southwest of Majorca in Spain. It is part of the municipality of Calvia. There are bus connections from Palma de Mallorca. It is particularly popular with German tourists to the point of being referred to as "Little Germany." A big shopping street goes the length of the resort. It is popular for the hiking routes in the back parts of the location and for Catamaran and boat trips that part from the resort.

The 2009 Palma Nova bombing occurred on July 30, 2009, when a limpet bomb went off outside a Civil Guard barracks in the town of Palma Nova, Majorca, Spain. The bomb was placed under a patrol car and two Civil Guard officers died as a result of the explosion. A second device was found under another Civil Guard vehicle at nearby barracks and safely exploded by police. On August 9, the Basque nationalist and separatist organisation ETA claimed responsibility for the attack, while four other bombs exploded around restaurants and shopping centres in Palma, Majorca, causing no injuries. The bombing was ETA's first attack in Majorca since it tried to kill King Juan Carlos I in the summer of 1995, and its deadliest attack since it killed two Civil Guard officers in Capbreton, France in 2007. The attack came on the eve of the 50th anniversary of ETA's founding, and days before the King's yearly visit to Majorca.

Camp de Mar is a small resort village in the municipality of Andratx on the Spanish Balearic Island of Mallorca. The resort is 20 miles (32 km) west of the island main airport of Son Sant Joan Airport. The resort's beach has been awarded a blue flag.

Magaluf Beach (Catalan: Platja de Magaluf, IPA: [ˈpladʒə ðə məɣəˈluf]; Spanish: Playa de Magaluf) is the name of the beach in the tourist resort of Magaluf. Holiday accommodation, nightclubs and other services aimed at mass tourism make up the urban landscape of the beach. It also receives a massive influx of local swimmers. Magaluf beach is one kilometer long and is made of fine white sand. Originally, the beach landscape was an unattractive looking marshland, its current state is the product of artificial regeneration. A half mile from the coast of Magalluf beach is Porrassa Islet, which served as a refuge for the fleet of King James I before he landed in Santa Ponsa in 1229. The area north of the bay is open to winds from the east-southeast to the anchoring of boats on sandy and algae to a depth ranging between two and five meters. Islet Porrassa protects the beach from wind, although a little wind blows in from the east.
