From this height, the sky surrounds the restaurant.Another one star restaurant, Yamazato, is also located in the hotel.

Nieuwe Pijp (English: New Pipe) is a neighbourhood in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is part of the borough of Amsterdam-Zuid. The Nieuwe Pijp is bordered by Ceintuurbaan and Sarphatipark in the north, Van Woustraat in the east, Amstel Canal in the south and Boerenwetering canal in the west. Along with the Oude Pijp (English: Old Pipe), situated north of the Nieuwe Pijp, it is often simply referred to as De Pijp.

Europaplein metro station (Dutch: Station Europaplein) is a station on the Route 52 (North–South Line) of the Amsterdam Metro in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It was opened on 22 July 2018. Europaplein is an underground station situated in the Zuidas neighbourhood of Amsterdam-Zuid (Amsterdam South). The station is expected to handle around 20,000 passengers and arrivals per day.

The Zomerdijkstraat is a small street in the Amsterdam neighborhood Rivierenbuurt, consisting of apartment buildings and a hallmark building, the studio complex at the Zomerdijkstraat. A classified monument, the building was designed by the functionalist architects Piet Zanstra, J.H.L. Giesen en K.L. Sijmons. The building is a pivotal work in Dutch architecture of the early thirties. The architects were members of "Groep 32", strongly inspired by the work of Le Corbusier. They combined a functional architecture with artistic elements, of which the studio apartment block is a prime example. Artists living and working in the studios included Gerrit van der Veen, Paul Grégoire, Jan Wolkers, Cees Kortlang, Jaap Wagemaker, John Grosman, Jet Schepp, Piet Esser, Fred Carasso en Bernard de Wolff.

De Pijp (English: The Pipe) is a neighbourhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is located directly south of Amsterdam's city centre and it is part of the borough Amsterdam-Zuid, in a part of the city known as the Old South (Oud Zuid). It is served by De Pijp metro station. Most streets in De Pijp are named after Dutch painters, like Jan Steen, Frans Hals, Ruysdael and Vincent van Gogh. Diamantbuurt, Nieuwe Pijp and Oude Pijp are the three districts composing the area. The busiest street market of the Netherlands, the Albert Cuyp Market, is located in De Pijp. It is open six days per week and attracts tourists. The former Heineken brewery is also a local tourist attraction; the former town hall of Nieuwer-Amstel is one of De Pijp's most notable monuments. Next to the former Heineken brewery is the Marie Heinekenplein, which has a number of bars and cafes. Along the canal Ruysdaelkade, there is a small red-light district. De Pijp is densely populated and has a diverse population, with a relatively high percentage of highly educated people and people living alone. Notable people to have lived in De Pijp include painter Piet Mondriaan, folk singer André Hazes, as well as actress Carice van Houten. In 2013, Mano Bouzamour published a much-disputed novel about growing up as an immigrant in this neighbourhood.

Rialto is a cinema at Ceintuurbaan in the De Pijp neighborhood in Amsterdam. Rialto exhibits quality, innovative films from film directors from all corners of the world for a wide, diverse public. Rialto is the premier theatre for the film distributors "EYE Film Institute Netherlands, Contact Film, Cinemien and Park Junior and regularly organizes festivals and special events, such as readings, discussions and introductions to shown films. More than fifty volunteers work at the theatre. The biennial CinemAsia film festival is also held there. The building that Rialto occupies was built in 1920 and was designed by the architect Jan van Schaik commissioned by film enthusiast Anton Pieter du Mée. Since 1982 the theatre has been in use by the Stichting Amsterdams Filmhuis. The theatre holds three halls and is next to a cafe. Railto participates in a partnership with Cineville.

The Sarphatipark is a public urban park located in the stadsdeel Amsterdam Oud-Zuid in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The park is named after Samuel Sarphati.In 1942, the park was renamed "Bollandpark" after G.J.P.J. Bolland, because Samuel Sarphati was a Jew. The old name was restored after the war in 1945.The Dutch painter Mommie Schwarz and his wife Else Berg lived adjacent to the park from 1927 until their deportation to, and execution at, the Auschwitz concentration camp in 1942. Some of their last works were landscape paintings of the park.

The Ferdinand Bolstraat is a street in Amsterdam, named after the artist Ferdinand Bol in 1872.

RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, formerly Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre or simply RAI Amsterdam (Dutch pronunciation: [raːi] (listen), acronym for Rijwiel en Automobiel Industrie), is a complex of conference and exhibition halls in the Zuidas business district of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Opened in 1961, the RAI welcomed its 75 millionth visitor in February 2001. Up to 2 million people visit the RAI every year. Some 50 international conferences and 70 trade shows are held at the RAI annually. The complex consists of 22 conference rooms and 11 multi-functional halls and has a total floor space of 112,200 m². The largest hall, Europahal RAI, can Capacity 12,900 people. The complex also includes a musical and concert theatre and underground parking space for over 4,000 cars. It gives its name to the nearby Amsterdam RAI railway station.

The Eurovision Song Contest 1970 was the 15th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest and took place in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (NOS), the international songwriting competition was held at the RAI Congrescentrum on Saturday 21 March 1970, and was hosted by Dutch television presenter Willy Dobbe. Due to there being four winners in the previous contest, a question was raised as to which nation would host the 1970 contest. With Spain having hosted in 1969 and the United Kingdom in 1968, only France and the Netherlands were in consideration. A draw of ballots between these two countries resulted in the Netherlands being chosen as the host country.Twelve countries participated in the contest this year. This was the lowest number of participants since the 1959 edition. The reason was that Finland, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and Austria all boycotted the 1970 edition in protest of the four-way tie result that had occurred in 1969.The winner of the competition was Ireland with the song "All Kinds of Everything", performed by Dana, and written by Derry Lindsay and Jackie Smith. This was Ireland's first of seven victories in the Eurovision Song Contest. The United Kingdom finished in second place for the seventh time, while Germany ended up in third place – the best result for the country at the time. This was also the only time that Luxembourg received nul points.
