Las Colinas is a mixed-use planned community development in Irving, Texas, part of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, governed by The Las Colinas Association, a Texas non-profit corporation. Due to its central location between Dallas and Fort Worth and its proximity to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field airport, Las Colinas has been a focus of corporate and business relocation. It has many corporate office and retail spaces, luxury hotels, townhomes, single-family homes, private country clubs, gated enclaves, urban lofts, parks, landscaped water courses, and formerly its own people mover system.

Hidden Ridge Station is a DART Light Rail station located in the Las Colinas development of Irving, Texas, for service on the Orange Line. The station is located on Meadow Creek Drive, west of the Orange Line's grade crossing on Green Park Drive. Originally named Las Colinas Carpenter Ranch, it was originally planned to open in December 2012 to serve the surrounding neighborhood of Las Colinas. In April 2010, the station's construction and opening was deferred until further development justified a station.The construction of a $1 billion office, residential, and entertainment development spearheaded by Verizon Wireless, which has an office campus across the street, prompted DART to resume plans for the station's construction. On April 24, 2019, DART announced that its board had officially approved the renaming of Carpenter Ranch Station to Hidden Ridge Station to tie in with the adjacent project. Construction was set to begin in mid 2020, with revenue service planned to begin in early 2021. The station began service on April 12, 2021.

Uplift North Hills Preparatory is a branch school of Uplift Education, located in Irving, Texas. The school is an International Baccalaureate school. The school's mascot is a Panther. The school was established in 1997 and is critically regarded as a top school within the DFW area, and within the state of Texas.

Ranchview High School is a public high school located in Irving, Texas, (USA). The school opened in 2002 as part of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District (CFBISD). Ranchview serves students in Irving (including portions of Las Colinas and Valley Ranch), Coppell, and Farmers Branch. Prior to Ranchview's opening, all students living west of Interstate 35E attended R.L. Turner High School. In 2017, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency, with a 4-Star Distinction for Academic Achievements in ELA/Reading, Mathematics, Science, and Post-Secondary Readiness.

A-Kon is an annual three-day anime convention held during June at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas and Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas. First held in 1990 with just 380 people in attendance, A-Kon is North America's longest running convention primarily focused on anime.

The Irving Convention Center is a 275,000 sq ft (25,500 m2) facility on a 40 acres (16 ha) tract in Las Colinas Urban Center in Irving, Texas. Opened in January 2011, the convention center and the adjoining mixed use entertainment district are bordered on the west by Highway 114, on the east by Las Colinas Boulevard, on the north by Spur 348/Northwest Highway, and to the south by Fuller Drive. The building is recognized for its unique architecture and vertical design.

The Toyota Music Factory (originally known as Irving Music Factory) is an entertainment complex located in the Las Colinas neighborhood of Irving, Texas.Developed by the ARK Group and the City of Irving, with the architecture design by the Gensler firm, for roughly $US175 million, the live music venue holds more than 8,000 spectators. The development is slated to include 300,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, 100,000 square feet concert hall and amphitheater with 8,000 capacity, an outdoor event plaza and 100,000 square feet of office space.

Irving Convention Center station is a DART Light Rail station located in the Las Colinas development of Irving, Texas. It serves the Orange Line. The station opened in July 2012 and serves the Irving Convention Center and Las Colinas Urban Center. It briefly served as the Orange Line terminus until the North Lake College and Belt Line stations opened in December 2012. Upon the launch of the Orange Line, there was no direct bus connection at the station. However, DART provided a nearby bus route (503) on Las Colinas Blvd. on a weekday basis. That all changed in December 2012 when a few of the routes were diverted to this station. Parking is provided, but at an existing parking lot at North Irving Transit Center. Access to the station platform is available via a walkway and pedestrian crossing under Northwest Highway. As of the DART bus network redesign effective January 24, 2022, this station is served by DART Route 227 Monday-Sunday.

Valley Ranch is a master-planned development in the Dallas, Texas suburb of Irving. The name comes from the fact that the land it sits upon was formerly a working cattle ranch and is located below a large ridge, and thus resembles a valley.

Dallas College North Lake Campus station is a DART Light Rail station in the Las Colinas development of Irving, Texas. It is on the Orange Line and serves adjacent Dallas College North Lake Campus. The station was proposed to be opened July 30, 2012 as a transfer point between three modified bus routes, but it was delayed until December 3, 2012, with the expansion of the Orange Line to Belt Line station.The station was known as North Lake College station until 2021, when it was renamed at the request of Dallas College. In 2020, the college had consolidated seven previously separate institutions under one accreditation.

North Irving Transit Center is a bus-only station located along Northwest Highway (Spur 348) in Irving, Texas (USA). The transit center is a ten-minute walk from DART's Irving Convention Center light rail station, with a pedestrian walkway under Northwest Highway connecting the two. Following the 2022 redesign of DART's bus network, North Irving Transit Center does not receive bus service. The station currently serves as a park-and-ride lot for Irving Convention Center station.

Dallas College North Lake Campus (often referred to as North Lake or NLC) is a public community college in Irving, Texas. It is part of Dallas College. It opened in 1977 and enrolls about 5,000 credit students and an additional 3,000 continuing education students.
