Wheeler Army Airfield (IATA: HHI, ICAO: PHHI, FAA LID: HHI), also known as Wheeler Field and formerly as Wheeler Air Force Base, is a United States Army post located in the City & County of Honolulu and in the Wahiawa District of the Island of O'ahu, Hawaii. It is a National Historic Landmark for its role in the 7 December 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

Kunia Camp (also called Kunia) is an unincorporated community on the island of Oahu in Honolulu County, Hawaii, United States. It lies along Hawaii Route 750 northwest of downtown Honolulu, the county seat of Honolulu County. Its elevation is 883 feet (269 m). Schofield Barracks is a United States Army installation and census-designated place (CDP) located in the City and County of Honolulu and in the Wahiawa District of the Hawaiian island of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. Schofield Barracks lies adjacent to the town of Wahiawā, separated from most of it by Lake Wilson (also known as Wahiawā Reservoir). Schofield Barracks is named after Lieutenant General John McAllister Schofield, who was the Commanding General of the United States Army from August 1888 to September 1895. He had been sent to Hawaiʻi in 1872 and had recommended the establishment of a naval base at Pearl Harbor. Schofield Barracks has an area of 17,725 acres (72 km2) on Central Oʻahu. The post was established in 1908 to provide mobile defense of Pearl Harbor and the entire island. It has been the home of the 25th Infantry Division, nicknamed the “Tropic Lightning” division, since 1941, as well as the headquarters for United States Army Hawaii (USARHAW). The population was 14,904 at the 2020 census.

Kūkaniloko Birth Site, also known as the Kūkaniloko Birthstones State Monument, is one of the most important ancient cultural sites on the island of Oʻahu. In 1973 it was first listed on the National Register of Historic Places and its boundaries were increased in 1995, after 5 acres (2.0 ha) of land which included the site became a state park in 1992. The site was the location for some of Hawaii's royal births. The Kukaniloko birth site may have served as astronomical function.

KKNE (940 AM) is a radio station licensed to Waipahu, Hawaii and located in the Honolulu, Hawaii radio market, broadcasting with a power of 10,000 watts. The station's format was last a hybrid of traditional Hawaiian music and talk/information geared toward adults of Native Hawaiian descent. The station is owned by SummitMedia. The station's studios are located in Downtown Honolulu and its transmitter was located near Kunia Camp. It was also featured on Oceanic Spectrum digital channel 856 for the entire state of Hawaii. It was originally on 920 kHz and moved to 940 kHz in 1962. A unique feature of KKNE was a greeting and current time given in Hawaiian and English along with the station identification at the top and bottom of each hour (at :00 and :30 past the hour), with a steel guitar playing as background music.

Wahiawa (Hawaiian: Wahiawā, pronounced [wəhijəˈvaː]) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Honolulu County, Hawaii, United States, on the island of Oahu. It is in the Wahiawa District, on the plateau or "central valley" between the two volcanic mountains that comprise the island. In Hawaiian, wahi a wā means "place of the wa people". The population was 18,658 at the 2020 census. Lakes and reservoirs are rare in Hawaii, and Wahiawa is unique in being surrounded on three sides by Lake Wilson (also known as Wahiawa Reservoir or Kaukonahua). The town must be reached by either of two bridges on Kamehameha Highway (State Rte. 80) across the reservoir's narrow north and south arms. Outside of the reservoir, the town used to be surrounded by military bases and agricultural fields, but development is making its way up from the increasingly urbanized southern portion of the central plain. Still, there are significant U.S. Army facilities in the area, including Schofield Barracks, Wheeler Army Airfield, and East Range, an Army training area extending into the hills south and east of town. Schofield Barracks alone is larger than Wahiawa CDP. Wahiawa is also home to the United States Navy's Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific and the housing community HMR. The Wahiawa Botanical Garden, 27 acres (11 ha) is a botanical garden on a high plateau in central Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, United States, located between the Wai'anae and Ko'olau mountain ranges. It is one of the Honolulu Botanical Gardens, and home to a collection of tropical flora requiring a relatively cool environment, with emphasis on native Hawaiian plants. It is nicknamed the "tropical jewel" of the Botanical Gardens. The Garden's site began in the 1920s, when the Hawaiian Sugar Planters' Association leased land from the State of Hawaiʻi for experimental tree planting. Most of the Garden's large trees date from that era. The property was transferred to Honolulu in 1950, and opened as a botanical garden in 1957. It is open seven days a week, from 9am to 4 pm.

Leilehua High School is a public, co-educational, college preparatory high school in Wahiawa, Hawaii on the island of Oʻahu. It is part of the Hawaii State Department of Education, nationally recognized as a Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education, and fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The school was first established in 1924, when Hawaii was still a territory and located close to present day Schofield Barracks. The graduating class of 1928 totaled 15 students, all dependents of military personnel. It relocated to its present 32-acre (130,000 m2) campus in the historic town of Wahiawa in 1949. The layout of the Leilehua facility was designed to represent openness, tranquility, and harmony with the environment. Buildings of an older vintage are blended among an abundance of trees and greenery. The campus boasts sculptures by Satoru Abe, Bumpei Akaji, Claude Horan, Rick Mills, Jacob Sakaguchi, and Ken Shutt. Approximately 25% of the student body are from military families stationed at Schofield Barracks, Wheeler Army Airfield, and NCTAMS PAC (U.S. Navy) in Whitmore Village.

Mililani High School is the only public high school located in Mililani Town CDP, City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S. on the island of Oʻahu. Serving an enrollment of over 2,600 students in grades 9–12, Mililani High School is one of the largest public schools in Hawaiʻi. In 2005, the high school held the distinction of holding the largest graduating class in the state.

Hanalani Schools is a private Christian school founded in 1952 and located in Mililani, on the island of Oahu, that offers classes for students in preschool through high school. Hanalani is fully accredited by the American Association of Christian Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and has approximately 720 students in total.
