Cathedral of the Holy Spirit (Bismarck, North Dakota)

The Bismarck Cathedral Area Historic District, also known as The Hill, is a historic district that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). A first 27.3-acre (11.0 ha) area was NRHP-listed in 1980. The original listing included 47 contributing buildings, including the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. The district was increased by 15 acres (6.1 ha) with 40 contributing buildings and one contributing site in 1997. The district was further changed in 2010 by subtraction of some buildings and properties, and by the addition of others.

Bismarck Public Schools (BPS) is a system of publicly funded K-12 schools in Bismarck, North Dakota. There are eighteen elementary schools, three middle schools, and three high schools. BPS also operates an alternative high school, a vocational center, and an early childhood program. The district includes Bismarck, Apple Valley, and Lincoln.

The Oliver and Gertrude Lundquist House on W. Thayer St. in Bismarck, North Dakota was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 2006. It has also been known as the George and Ada Ebert House.It is a work of the Nonpartisan League's Home Building Association.

Bismarck Municipal Stadium is a baseball stadium in Bismarck, North Dakota. Built in 1921, the stadium was reconfigured in 1992 and renovated again in 2014. Since 1928, it has been home to the Bismarck Governors (American Legion Lloyd Spetz Post No. 1) team. In the 1930s, it was home to the Bismarck Churchills independent team, most famous for having Baseball Hall of Famer Satchel Paige leading its roster. It was also home to the minor league baseball teams, the Bismarck Capitals (1922–1923), Bismarck Barons (1955–1957) and Bismarck-Mandan Pards (1962–1964, 1966).Currently, it is home to the Bismarck Larks of the Northwoods League, a collegiate summer baseball league.

Camp Hancock Site on Main Ave. in Bismarck, North Dakota was built in 1872. It has also been known as Camp Hancock Historic Site and as Camp Hancock. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.It served as a garrison for troops guarding the construction of railway through the area during 1872–1877.One exhibit is the Bread of Life Church, (later St. George's Episcopal Church) which was completed in 1881 and moved here in 1965.

The United States District Court for the District of North Dakota (in case citations, D.N.D.) is the United States District Court or the Federal district court, whose jurisdiction is the state of North Dakota. The court is headquartered out of Bismarck at the William L. Guy Federal Building and has additional locations at Fargo, Grand Forks, and Minot. Appeals from the Court are heard by the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit (except for patent claims and claims against the U.S. government under the Tucker Act, which are appealed to the Federal Circuit). The district was created in 1889, when the Dakota Territory was divided into North Dakota and South Dakota. The Grand Forks courts are located at the Ronald N. Davies Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse. In 1921, a second temporary judgeship was authorized, however, this was never made permanent and the judgeship expired in 1928. In 1954, a second permanent judgeship was authorized, and the strength of the court has remained unchanged since. The United States Attorney's Office for the District of North Dakota represents the United States in civil and criminal litigation in the court. As of December 12, 2022, the United States attorney for the District of North Dakota is Mac Schneider.

The Van Horn Hotel on N. 3rd St. in Bismarck, North Dakota, United States, was designed by architect Arthur W. Van Horn. It was built in 1916. It has also been known as the Prince Hotel. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.Notables who have stayed there include Shirley Temple, Eleanor Roosevelt, General George C. Marshall, and Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.: 6 

The Downtown Bismarck Historic District is a 40-acre (16 ha) historic district in Bismarck, North Dakota that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. It includes work by architect Arthur Van Horn and others. The listing included 40 contributing buildings.

The U.S. Post Office and Courthouse in Bismarck, North Dakota, United States, was built during 1912–13 and expanded in 1937. It was designed by James Knox Taylor and includes Late 19th and 20th Century Revivals architecture and Second Renaissance Revival architecture. Also known as Federal Building, it served historically as a courthouse and as a post office. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.It is notable as one of the last works of James Knox Taylor, who was Supervising Architect of the U.S. Treasury from 1897 until 1912.It is a three-story, steel-framed building with reinforced concrete floors and a red tile roof that can be seen from far away to the south. It was approximately 100 feet (30 m) wide (on Broadway) by 64 feet (20 m) deep (on Third Street) when completed in 1913, then deepened to 115 feet (35 m) in 1937.

The Former North Dakota Executive Mansion, also or formerly known as Old Governor's Mansion or Asa Fisher House, at 320 Ave. B., E., in Bismarck, North Dakota, was built in 1893. It served "as the official residence of the governors of North Dakota for nearly 67 years. The last Governor to occupy it was John E. Davis whose term of office ran through 1960." From 1961 through 1975, the former house was used for offices of the State Health Department.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.The original governor's mansion was built in 1884 as a private home for Bismarck businessman Asa Fisher. Fisher homesteaded in Edwinton (Bismarck) in 1872 and made his fortune in banking, real estate and liquor sales. In 1893, the house was sold to the state for $5000. The house was used as the governor's residence from 1893 to 1960 and was the home of twenty North Dakota governors. In 1975, the State Legislature passed House Bill 1315 which transferred ownership to the State Historical Society of North Dakota. The house was renovated to look as it did in 1893 and opened to the public as a North Dakota State Historic Site in 1983.

The V.F.W. Sports Center is a multi purpose ice arena and recreational facility located in Bismarck, North Dakota owned and operated by the City of Bismarck Parks & Recreation Department. The ice arena serves as the home to the Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League The facility is also home to several local high school ice hockey teams, local figure skating and curling clubs, youth, and adult recreational ice hockey leagues, as well as public skating.

The Bismarck Tribune Building on N. 4th St. in Bismarck, North Dakota was designed by architect George H. Shanley and was built in 1920. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1982.According to its NRHP nomination it is a "rare application" of Prairie School architecture in North Dakota.The editor, George Douglas Mann, recruited a Great Falls, Montana, designer to plan this flame resistant structure with substantial casing and floors, primary mud tile dividers, and Hebron pressed block outside. The famous Prairie Style configuration accentuates flat extents and joins enhancing brickwork with applied earthenware decoration with themes of adapted lights, blossoms, leaves, and lotus buds. Block header courses emphasize the pilasters that help rectangular spandrels between the first-and second-floor windows. A particular polychrome earthenware bas-help board over the fundamental passage recreates a work of art of priests rehearsing the printer's art on a hand press. The Bismarck Tribune Building has filled in as office space since the newspaper relocated its operations in 1981.
