Frans Schartaus gymnasium in Stockholm is named after the MP mission Frans Schartau. The current building is from 1945. Frans Schartau is primarily a community-oriented school that asserts itself in the economics, trade and language. The school currently has 900 pupils.

Ersta Sköndal Bräcke University College (Swedish: Ersta Sköndal Bräcke högskola) is a private Swedish institution for higher education and research. The university college has departments for education in nursing, social work, church music, theology and psychotherapy as well as research within the field of social science, welfare rights, health care science and ethics, palliative care, diaconal research, organizational and work-life ethics and psychotherapy research. The aims of the research programme are in line with the university college's diaconal history. In 1851, the first nurse training course in Sweden was launched by Marie Cederschiöld under the auspices of Ersta diakoni. The first socially oriented programme at national level began at the turn of the last century in the form of diaconal training at the Stora Sköndal Foundation. Today Ersta Sköndal Bräcke University College is owned by Ersta diakoni, Stora Sköndal Foundation and Bräcke diakoni, divided into three campuses located in Södermalm, Stockholm, Stora Sköndal, south of Stockholm and Hisingen, Gothenburg. The historical background has resulted in human health, welfare, and vulnerability being the focus of study and explains how research fields have developed and given the university its specific profile.

Kafé 44 is a café, concert venue, and anarchist bookstore in Stockholm. Based in the Kapsylen work cooperative, which was founded by an artist group in 1976, the café Dagfiket opened in its basement in the early 1980s, and was later followed by the music venue Scen 44 in 1990, and the anarchist bookstore Bokhandeln INFO a few years later.

Pionen is a former civil defence center built in the White Mountains Södermalm borough of Stockholm, Sweden in 1943 to protect essential government functions. The address of the Pionen data center is Renstiernas gata 35 and 37. It was converted into a data center by the Swedish Internet service provider Bahnhof. It opened on 11 September 2008 and Bahnhof continues to use the facility today. Because of the facility being buried under the mountain, secured by a 40-centimeter thick door, and only reachable by an entrance tunnel, the data center is capable of withstanding a hydrogen bomb. The Pionen data center is also a colocation centre. In 2010 WikiLeaks used Pionen's colocation services to store their servers.

Nytorget is a square on Södermalm, a district of Stockholm, Sweden.

The area SoFo, or "South of Folkungagatan" is located in Södermalm, a district of Stockholm, Sweden. It is bounded by Folkungagatan street to the north, Ringvägen to the south and in the east and west by Erstagatan and Götgatan, respectively. The name SoFo is a pun on SoHo, the districts in London and Manhattan, and is an invention of local entrepreneurs who since 2003 have attempted to rebrand the area as a centre of creative and innovative Swedish fashion and retailing. In particular, many Swedish fashion designers are located in SoFo. SoFo is home to many other creative industries in Stockholm, including advertising agencies, media companies and publishers.The name "Sofo" is primarily used by so-called hipsters and people in the creative industry. The name has been debated as a creation of the wishes of a group of people, although the area is essentially unchanged.Other local places of interest include Nytorget, a city square with a playground and small park and Vita Bergen, a larger park with good views over Stockholm. Vita Bergen also has an open-air theatre which has music and dance performances during summer, and offers steep tobogganing in winter. SoFo is accessible via Medborgarplatsen and Skanstull metro stations.

The Royal Swedish Naval Academy (Swedish: Kungliga Sjökrigsskolan, KSS) was a school for officer training for the Swedish Navy, which operated in various forms between the years 1756 and 1987.

Kastellholmen is an islet in the centre of Stockholm, Sweden. It belongs to the district of Skeppsholmen. It is connected to adjacent Skeppsholmen through the Kastellholmsbron bridge. Kastellholmen has an area of 31,000 m². Kastellholmen has previously been known as Notholmen, Lilla Beckholmen and Skansholmen. On the island there is a small castle, Kastellet, which was built between 1846-1848 under design by Swedish officer and architect Fredrik Blom (1781–1853). Kastellholmen, like Skeppsholmen, has been managed by the Swedish National Property Agency since 1993 and is part of the Royal National City Park.

Kastellholmsbron (Swedish: "The Citadel Islet Bridge") is a small bridge in central Stockholm, Sweden, connecting the small island Kastellholmen to Skeppsholmen. The name is derived from the citadel, lending its name to the entire island. The first citadel was constructed in the 1640s together with the bridge. The citadel was then replaced, first in 1746, and then again following a major explosion in 1848. The present bridge dates from 1880, but has been rebuilt since.

Sofia Church (Swedish: Sofia kyrka), named after the Swedish queen Sophia of Nassau, is one of the major churches in Stockholm, Sweden. It was designed during an architectural contest in 1899 and was inaugurated in 1906. It is located in the eastern part of the island of Södermalm, standing on the north east peak of the Vita Bergen park. Sofia church belongs to Sofia parish of the Church of Sweden.

Katarina Parish (Swedish: Katarina församling) is a parish in Södermalm's church district (kontrakt) in the Diocese of Stockholm, Sweden. The parish is located in Stockholm Municipality in Stockholm County. The parish forms its own pastorship.
