Magasin is a Danish chain of department stores. It has seven department stores with its flagship store located on Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen. The company is a subsidiary of the German department store retailer Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf, Magasin du Nord has been a founder and remained member of the International Association of department stores since 1928.

Vingprdstræde is a street in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. The first part of the street passes the south side of the Magasin du Nord department store and the north side of Danske Bank's headquarters.

Kongens Nytorv station (Danish pronunciation: [ˈkʰʌŋŋ̍s ˈnyˌtsʰɒˀw], lit. King's New Square) is a Copenhagen Metro station located at Kongens Nytorv in downtown Copenhagen, Denmark. The station is located at the intersection of the M1/M2 and M3/M4 lines and is in fare zone 1. The station affords direct access to the Magasin du Nord department store.

Østergade 13 is a Historicist building complex situated on the shopping street Strøget in centraæ Copenhagen, Denmark. Originally two separate 18th-century buildings, three and four bays wide, respectively, Østergade 13 owes its current appearance to a renovation in 1856. Lille Kongensgade 12–14 on the other side of the block is also part of the property (since 1902). Carl Antonelli's plaster workshop—known for its reproductions of many of Bertel Thorvaldsen's works—was based on the site from c. 1820 to 1854. Kunstforeningen was also based in the building from 1834 to 1854. Other notable former residents include the educator Carl Mariboe, economist and writer Oluf Christian Olufsen (1764–1827) and businessman Isaac Wulff Heyman. The property is today owned by Odense-based Barfoed Group.

Vingårdstrøde 19 is a Neoclassical property situated on Vingårdstræde, between Kongens Nytorv and Nikolaj Plads, in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Like most of the other buildings in the area, the building was constructed as part of the rebuilding of the city following the Copenhagen Fire of 1795. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1959. A number of people associated with the Royal Danish Theatre have resided in the building, including ballet dancers and choreographers Antoine Bournonville, August Bournonville and Carl Dahlén, as well as a number of members of the Royal Danish Orchestra. Other notable former residents include future cookbook writer Anne Marie Mangor, portrait painter Johan Frederik Møller and sculptor Daniel Peter Støhrmann.

The Erichsen Mansion (Danish: Erichsens Palæ) is a historic building located at Kongens Nytorv in central Copenahgen9, Denmark. It is now part of Danske Bank's headquarters.

Østergade 24 is a mid 19th-century mixed-use building, with retail on the ground floor and office space on the upper floors, situated on the shopping street Strøget in central Copenhagen, Denmark. A gateway in the centre of the facade provides access to Pistolstræde, a passageway linking Østergade with Ny Østergade an Grønnegade on the other side of the block.. Athenæum, a private library, was based in the previous building on the site. The present building on the site was constructed for Jewish clothing retailer Moses Magnus Ruben. It later served as headquarters of Jacob Heinrich Moresco's growing clothing empire from 1882. A photographic studio was for more than 120 years, from the 1850s until 1982, operated in the building., most notably by Peter Elfelt from 1805 until 1931. The building is today owned by Kirkbi A/S. Kirkbi's Copenhagen office is based in the building. The tenants include the fashion brand Gant.

Svane Apotek (literally Swan Pharmacy), which existed from 1660 to 1994, was one of the first pharmacies to open in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was in 1849 acquired by Alfred Nicolai Bentzon and was owned by the Benzon family until 1967. Its former building. a five-storey, Functionalist property located at the corner of Østergade (No. 18) and Ny Østergade (No. 2-4), was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency in 1992.

The Peschier House (Danish: Peschiers Gård) is a listed property at Holmens Kanal in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. The building is currently part of Danske Bank's headquarters but it has been sold to Standard Life and the bank has announced its plans to move to new premises close to Copenhagen Central Station.

Laksegade 26 is a Neoclassical property situated at the corner of Laksegade and Nikolajgade in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1939. A plaque on the facade towards Laksegade commemorates that the architect Theophilus Hansen was born in the building.

Nikolajgade 20 / Dybensgade 20 is a Neoclassical apartment building situated at the corner of Nikolajgade and Dybensgade in central Copenhagen, Denmark. The building was constructed by master mason Anthon Christian Wilcken and master carpenter Andreas Hallander in 1799–1800 as part of the rebuilding of the city following the Copenhagen Fire of 1795. It was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1959. A young Hans Christian Andersen was the lodger of a widow on the second floor in the early 1820s. From 1825 to 1840 the building was operated as a home for indigent seamen under the name Bombebøssen. That institution—founded by the naval officer Peter Norden Sølling in 1819—was then moved to Christianshavn. The building at the corner of Nikolajgade and Dybensgade was hit by fire in 1855 but subsequently restored.

The Hotel d'Angleterre is one of the first deluxe hotels in the world. Situated in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark, it is located on Kongens Nytorv opposite Charlottenborg, the Royal Opera and Nyhavn. While its history dates back to 1755, it has been in its current building since a fire, in 1795, damaged the previous building beyond repair. From 1872 to 1875, the building was significantly extended and refurbished by the architects, Vilhelm Dahlerup and Georg E.W. Møller The hotel has long been considered the most prestigious and elegant hotel in the city. Its name is French and means the "England Hotel". The Hotel d'Angleterre re-opened in May 2013 following extensive restorations. The new d'Angleterre has 30 rooms and 60 suites. It also has a 1-star Michelin restaurant, "Marchal", led by executive chef, Jakob de Neergaard, a cocktail and champagne bar as well as a spa and health club.
