Nashua is a city in southern New Hampshire, United States. At the 2020 census, it had a population of 91,322, the second-largest in northern New England after nearby Manchester. Along with Manchester, it is a seat of New Hampshire's most populous county, Hillsborough. Built around the now-departed textile industry, in recent decades Nashua's economy has shifted to the financial services, high tech, and defense industries as part of the economic recovery that started in the 1980s in the Greater Boston region. Major private employers in the city include Nashua Corporation, BAE Systems, and Teradyne. The city also hosts two major regional medical centers, Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospital. The South Nashua commercial district is a major regional shopping destination, lying directly on the Massachusetts border and taking advantage of New Hampshire's lack of sales tax. It is anchored by the Pheasant Lane Mall and numerous smaller shopping centers. It is one of several U.S. cities nicknamed Gate City, which references a reputation for being a travel gateway - in this case between the Boston region and New Hampshire. A number of civic groups and institutions have adopted the title.

The Nashua Manufacturing Company Historic District in Nashua, New Hampshire, is a historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1987. It encompasses an area just west of downtown Nashua, roughly located along the southern bank of the Nashua River, bordered on the west side by Mine Falls Park, on the south side by the Nashua River canal, up to Ledge Street, and from the east side by Factory, Pine and Water streets, up to the Main Street bridge.Today this area is dominated by the clock tower at "Clock Tower Place" apartments, and the large "Millyard" smokestack of the Picker building. The district takes its name from the time when this complex of buildings belonged to the Nashua Manufacturing Company, and though surrounding buildings also served the company in some way or another, they are not included in the district. The Nashua Manufacturing Company was originally built as a cotton mill and was incorporated in 1823. Their competitor, the Jackson Manufacturing Company, located downstream on the other side of the Main Street bridge at Jackson Falls dam, was incorporated in 1824.

Southern New Hampshire Health is a system of hospitals and medical centers throughout the southern part of the state of New Hampshire in the United States. It is anchored by the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center (SNHMC), located in Nashua. The hospital was founded in 1893 as Nashua Memorial Hospital and is now a 188-bed regional medical facility that serves an estimated 100,000 patients a year in the southern New Hampshire region. SNHMC has over 500 primary and specialty care providers. SNHMC offers a full suite of health services, including a trauma center, newborn intensive care unit and distinguished programs in endoscopy, orthopedic surgery, gastroenterology, cardiology and neurosurgery.

The Hillsborough County Registry of Deeds is located at 19 Temple Street in Nashua, one of the county seats of Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. The two-story brick building was built in 1901 as a courthouse and county office building to a design by Boston architect Daniel H. Woodbury, and is a good example of Classical Revival architecture. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The current courthouse is a modern building at 30 Spring Street.

The Nashua Gummed and Coated Paper Company Historic District encompasses a collection of former industrial buildings on the north side of the Nashua River in Nashua, New Hampshire. Located on Franklin and Front Streets west of Main Street, the complex was developed by the Nashua Gummed and Coated Paper Company, later the Nashua Corporation, beginning in the late 19th century. It was a major manufacturing and employment center for the city until mid-1990s, when the company's business declined. One of its former storehouses was converted to residences in the 2000s, and the main complex is, in 2015-16, undergoing the same process. The complex of surviving buildings was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

St. Stanislaus Parish is a Catholic parish of the Diocese of Manchester, located in Nashua, New Hampshire, United States. The first parish at the site was established in 1908 for Polish immigrants by Bishop George Albert Guertin. The current parish was founded in 2016 by Bishop Peter Anthony Libasci and dedicated to observing the Tridentine Mass and other liturgical rites in use prior to Vatican II.

The Nashua Public Library (NPL) is the public library of Nashua, New Hampshire.

The Hunt Memorial Library, also known as the John M. Hunt Memorial Building, is a historic former library building at 6 Main Street in downtown Nashua, New Hampshire. Built in 1903, it is a significant early work of the renowned Gothic Revival architect Ralph Adams Cram, then in partnership with Goodhue and Ferguson. The Nashua Public Library moved to a new building in 1971. The building is owned by the city and is available for rent for functions. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

WSMN (1590 AM) is a commercial radio station broadcasting a talk radio format. It is licensed to Nashua, New Hampshire, and serves the Merrimack Valley. Its owners since March 2017 are on-air personalities George Russell and Bob Bartis. WSMN has some local talk shows and also features paid brokered programming. WSMN transmits with 770 watts daytime, 58 watts nighttime. It uses a non-directional antenna at all times. Programming is also heard on 250-watt FM translator W237FA at 95.3 MHz.

The Soldiers and Sailors Monument in Nashua, New Hampshire is an American Civil War memorial. Its cornerstone was laid on May 30, 1889, and the monument dedicated on October 15, 1889. The monument is located in central Nashua within the triangle formed by Concord, Amherst, and Nashville streets. The monument is a square, castellated column of New Hampshire granite from Nashua on a base of Quincy granite, atop which stands a figure of Victory, dressed in classical Roman garments and holding an American shield and a laurel wreath. Its base is ornamented with bronze statues of a soldier and sailor, and bronze reliefs depicting the Goddess of Liberty overseeing the reconciliation of the South with the North, an emancipation scene with a Union soldier extending a scroll to a kneeling figure, and the sinking of the Alabama by the Kearsarge. At its front is a sculpture of a saddle draped with cavalry clothing and equipment; at the rear is a sculpture of Civil War-era weapons. The design for the monument was made by T. M. Perry, of Messrs. Frederick & Field, who carved the Victory, erected the monument, and did all its granite work. The sailor was modeled by S. J. O'Kelley and cast by Melzar Hunt Mosman. The soldier was modeled by Caspar Buberl and cast by the Henry Bonnard Bronze Company. The artillery sculpture was made and cast by Melzar Hunt Mosman, as were the Emancipation bas-relief and the two lettered panels. The statue of Victory, cavalry sculpture, and sinking of the Alabama were modeled by Beattie & Brooks. The Abbot House, also known as the Abbot-Spalding House, is a historic house museum at One Abbot Square in Nashua, New Hampshire. Built in 1804, it is one of the area's most prominent examples of Federal period architecture, albeit with substantial early 20th-century Colonial Revival alterations. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, and the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places in 2002. It is now owned by the Nashua Historical Society, which operates it as a museum; it is open by appointment.

The Gen. George Stark House is a historic house at 22 Concord Street in Nashua, New Hampshire. Built in 1856, is one New Hampshire's finest Italianate houses. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, and included in the Nashville Historic District in 1984.
