KALA (88.5 FM) is a 375 watt public format, non-profit radio station in Davenport, Iowa, one of the Quad Cities. The station licensee, St. Ambrose University is authorized by the Federal Communications Commission. KALA also has a translator for KALA HD2 at 106.1 FM.KALA's format includes news, information and entertainment from National Public Radio and from Public Radio International. The station's jazz and variety musical lineup includes several styles of music. Catering to specialty/niche audiences, this lineup includes: mainstream and fusion jazz, blues, roots, gospel, Latin, classic rock, oldies, indie rock, and alternative music. The station also plays "New World" eclectic international pop music, urban contemporary, and classic R & B. KALA is an affiliate of the syndicated Pink Floyd program "Floydian Slip." During the week, KALA features public service programming (both syndicated and locally produced); there are also local, state, and national news. The station also features live radio programs, St. Ambrose University campus news, a local calendar of events, daily weather updates, and student-run music shows. A mainstay of the station's commitment to the University community is its live home/remote coverage of St. Ambrose University sports events. This includes SAU's Fighting Bees/Queen Bees basketball, football, and baseball The KALA webpage has information about the station, and allows periodic webcast of events and programming. It also features live streaming of its air signal, and Associated Press Video network news. KALA also features an online station by students for students. "The Stinger" plays Top 40 hits, country, alternative, and rock music, along with music and talk shows hosted by student DJs.

Goodrich was a harness maker and a foreman at the Rock Island Arsenal. The 2½-story frame structure features the asymmetry and irregular plan that are typical of the Queen Anne style. The corner tower and the broad wrap-around porch are prominent features. It is located on a raised corner lot that gives the house an added sense of prominence.

St. Paul Lutheran Church is located in central, Davenport, Iowa, United States. It is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The church's original property, which subsequently housed other Protestant congregations, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, but has since been torn down. The present complex was built in 1952 and contains two buildings that are contributing properties in the Vander Veer Park Historic District. The present church building was completed in 2007.

Emeis Park and Golf Course is a 210-acre (0.85 km2) park located on the west side of Davenport, Iowa, United States. The park features picnic shelters, playground equipment, ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts and a golf course. It is the western terminus for the Duck Creek Parkway. The golf course is an 18-hole, par 72 course. It is a 155-acre (0.63 km2) course, 6,500-yard (5,900 m) long, and built on gently rolling hills. Designed by C.D. Wagstaff, the course was inaugurated for public use with an exhibition match between Arnold Palmer and Gary Player held on August 19, 1961. Player shot 68 to Palmer's 69 to win the match. Emeis Golf Course was named to Golf Digest's list of America's Toughest Golf Courses three times from 1966-1968 and continues to be Davenport’s most challenging public golf course. Emeis hosted the 1962 and 1967 NAIA Men's Golf Championship and annually conducts the Quad-City Amateur Golf Tournament as well as qualifying rounds for PGA Tour's John Deere Classic.

The Vander Veer Botanical Park is a 33-acre (130,000 m2) botanical garden in the Vander Veer Park Historic District of Davenport, Iowa. It is believed to be one of the first botanical parks west of the Mississippi River. The park was listed on the Davenport Register of Historic Properties on August 4, 1993.

The F. H. Miller House is a historic building located in the central part of Davenport, Iowa, United States. The house served as the official residence for two of Davenport's Catholic bishops and as a bed and breakfast. The building now houses the Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations for St. Ambrose University, and is called Alumni House. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1983.
