Kozjak, also known as Mali Kozjak or Primorski Kozjak (to differentiate it from Veliki Kozjak) is a mountain located above the town of Kaštela in Dalmatia, Croatia. It belongs to Dinaric Alps, and it stretches from the pass of Klis in the southeast, to the above Split Airport in the northwest. The highest peak is Veli vrj (779 m) above Kaštel Gomilica. Its southern slope is very steep, and northern rock slopes gradually turns to the corrugate plateau of Dalmatian Zagora. Kozjak is mainly composed of karst — limestone rocks. Mali Kozjak in town of Kaštela is more known than Veliki Kozjak above the village of Kijevo. On the west side of the ridge is well-known mountain centre of Malačka on 477 m. Its highest peak overlooks the city of Split, the ancient Roman settlement of Salona, towns of Solin, Kaštela, Trogir, and most of central Dalmatia islands.

Kaštel Stari is a village within the administrative area of Kaštela, in Dalmatia, Croatia. Its name means Old Castle, this came from a nobleman from Trogir Koriolan Cipiko, writer, humanist and military leader who built a mansion in 1476 which it is believed led to the name Kastel Stari. The main local employment comes from Tourism, the area is also popular with visitors from Split and the village is within a 20-minute drive of Split airport. The village is also about 20 minutes from Trogir by car and in the high season a boat can also take you to Trogir. At one time the 12 mile stretch between Split and the airport has 16 fortified castles, today Kastela includes 7 distinct townships, of which Kastel Stari is one of them.

Castle Rotondo is a fortress castle in Kaštel Štafilić, Croatia, on the Adriatic coast. It was fully constructed in 1508, on the order of Stefano Štafileo, a Trogirian nobleman. Stafileo ordered its construction in 1508 to protect his lands and the Kozjak's peasants from the Ottomans pillaging. It is situated by a beautiful sea cliff.Parallel to the castle, there is a fortified renaissance house, where there is the Stafileo's family crest, engraved with a bunch of grapes. The grapes are a visual translation of the Štafileo name, which means bunch of grapes in Greek. The crest symbolizes wine making, and the future. There is also an inscription in Latin above the castle gate, which states the original purpose behind the Castle's construction. The southern residential wing of the house has a water gate that still exists today.

Marjan (Croatian pronunciation: [mârjan]) is a hill on the peninsula of the city of Split, the second largest city of Croatia. It is covered in a dense Mediterranean pine forest and completely surrounded by the city and the sea, making it a unique sight. Originally used as a park by the citizens as early as the 3rd century, it is a favorite weekend excursion destination and a recreational center for the city. It is also the setting for numerous beaches and jogging trails as well as tennis courts and the city Zoo, all surrounded by the scenic forest. Marjan is 178 m tall and offers a view of the entire city, the surrounding islands, and the nearby mountains of Mosor and Kozjak. Beaches Kašjuni and Bene are located at the foot of Marjan hill.

The stadium is located in the neighbourhood of Poljud, which belongs to city district of Spinut. It was opened in September 1979, and has a seating capacity of 33.987The venue was built to host the 1979 Mediterranean Games and was opened by then Yugoslav president Josip Broz Tito. It had an original capacity of 55,000, increased to 62,000 in the 1980s, before being equipped with seats in the 1990s thus reducing the capacity to 33.987Poljud Stadium was also the venue for the 1990 European Athletics Championships and 2010 IAAF Continental Cup, while from 2013 to 2018, it hosted Ultra Europe annually.
