Greenville (community), Wisconsin

The Joseph Kronser Hotel and Saloon of Greenville, Wisconsin, United States, was built in 1897. The hotel and saloon also were primarily intended for railroad travelers along the adjacent Chicago and North Western Railway line. The hotel had five rooms available and also housed the ticket office for the railroad. The building also featured the first post office in town until the 1940s, a barbershop from the 1940s to 1968 and a gas station after 1929.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 as well as the State Register of Historic Places in 1989 for its significance in architecture and to the development of Greenville.

Greenville is a village in Outagamie County, Wisconsin. It is one of 18 communities that form the basis of the Fox Cities, the third largest metropolitan area in Wisconsin. The population was 12,619 in 2020.

Wakefield is a former unincorporated community in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, United States. It is located in the village of Greenville. Wakefield had a post office from 1852 to 1879, on land that is now occupied by Appleton International Airport. The post office (and by extension the community) was named after a Greenville settler, J. Wakefield.

Appleton International Airport (IATA: ATW, ICAO: KATW, FAA LID: ATW), formerly Outagamie County Regional Airport, is an airport located in Greenville, Wisconsin, United States, 3 nautical miles (5.6 km; 3.5 mi) west of Appleton. It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2023–2027. Along with Madison’s Dane County Regional Airport, it is one of two airports in the State of Wisconsin categorized as a small hub. The airport covers 1,638 acres (6.63 km2) at an elevation of 918 feet (280 m) above sea level.It is the third busiest of eight commercial airports in Wisconsin in terms of passengers served. In 2016 the airport contributed $676 million to the Northeastern Wisconsin economy. In May 2018, Appleton International Airport was the fourth fastest growing airport in the US. It is the main base of privately owned regional airline Air Wisconsin and was the original home of Midwest Airlines. Midwest Airlines grew out of Kimberly-Clark subsidiary K-C Aviation, which was sold in 1998 to Gulfstream Aerospace, which retains a major facility at the airport, focusing on maintenance, interior completions, and exterior painting for the company's G600, G650, and G700 products. The airport attracts people heading back and forth between the EAA's AirVenture, Air Academy and other programs in nearby Oshkosh. Starting in 2017, the airport began to offer camping for AirVenture. Appleton International is also used for people heading to events at Lambeau Field in nearby Green Bay, most popularly Green Bay Packers games.

The Community First Champion Center is a 164,000 sq ft (15,200 m2) indoor sports center in Grand Chute, in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The facility is primarily intended to be used for youth sports/community sporting activities and as of early 2019 is not planned to house a professional sports team. The sports center was expected to cost $30 million to build. The cost of construction was provided by a 3% hotel-room tax being charged throughout the Fox Cities region; this tax was also used to pay for the Fox Cities Exhibition Center. It is expected to contribute around $8–12 million the Fox Cities economy, one of the fast-growing regions in the United States.

Ellington is a town in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 3,174 at the 2020 census. The unincorporated community of Stephensville is located in the town.

Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium is a baseball park in Grand Chute, Wisconsin (although it has an Appleton mailing address). It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the Midwest League Minor League Baseball affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. The stadium also hosts a few music concerts each year. From 2000 until 2018, it hosted the NCAA Division III College World Series; the contract to host the event ran out in 2018 and the stadium chose to not renew the contract due to the expanded D-III playoffs schedule conflicting with the Timber Rattlers' schedule. The stadium was built in 1995, and holds 5,900 people. It is also the site of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association High School Spring Baseball Championship.

Fox River Mall is an enclosed super-regional shopping center located in Grand Chute, Wisconsin, United States, which serves the Appleton, Wisconsin metropolitan area. It is a major driver of the local economy and its construction helped spur the growth of the Grand Chute shopping district, which is today known as the "shopping capital of Wisconsin". At 1.21 million square feet, it is one of the largest malls in the state.The anchor stores are Macy's, JCPenney, Target, and Scheels All Sports. Outagamie County Health Center, established in 1889, was a psychiatric hospital serving Outagamie County, Wisconsin. It was first named Outagamie County Asylum for the Chronic Insane, then Outagamie County Hospital, and finally Outagamie County Health Center.

Stephensville is a small unincorporated community located entirely within the town of Ellington in west-central Outagamie County, Wisconsin, United States. Stephensville is classified as a Class U6 Community by the USGS, being a populated place located wholly or substantially outside the boundaries of any incorporated place or CDP with a recognized authoritative common name.Stephensville is located 4 miles northeast of Hortonville, 7 miles northwest of Greenville, 5 miles south of Shiocton and 15 miles northwest of Appleton. Bear Creek passes through the community just east of its mouth with the Wolf River. Mail is delivered by the Hortonville post office.

Fox Crossing is a village in Winnebago County, Wisconsin, United States. It was incorporated from the former town of Menasha in 2016. The population as of the 2020 census was 18,974. Fox Crossing is located in the Fox Cities region and the Appleton-Oshkosh-Neenah, WI CSA, the third largest metropolitan area in Wisconsin.
