Caithness Long Island Energy Center is a 350 MW natural gas fired power power plant in Yaphank, New York on Long Island operated by Caithness Energy. It began operation in 2009 as the first major baseload plant to be built on Long Island in over 30 years, and by 2020 produced the second most net energy generated among power plants on Long Island. A proposal to construct a new unit tripling the capacity of the facility received initial approvals in 2013, but did not proceed and was shelved in 2018.

The Brookhaven Rail Terminal (BRT) is a truck-train trans-load facility in Yaphank in Brookhaven on Long Island, New York. The 28-acre (11 ha) initial site was built with $40 million in private funds and opened on September 27, 2011. It is projected to take 40,000 long haul trucks off Long Island roads and handle 1 million tons of freight a year by 2016. It includes 13,000 feet (4 km) of new track, with three tracks for construction material, such as asphalt and concrete, and six tracks for merchandise, such as flour and biodiesel.

Robert Hawkins Homestead is a historic home located at Yaphank in Suffolk County, New York. It was built about 1855 and is a clapboard-sheathed, wood-frame building on a brick foundation. It has a symmetrical, two-story, three-bay, cruciform plan with low intersecting gable roofs in the Italianate style. It features a one-story verandah and a large central cupola on the building's rooftop.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, and is directly across the street from the Homan-Gerard House and Mills.

Suffolk County Almshouse Barn is a historic hay and livestock barn located at Yaphank in Suffolk County, New York. It was built in 1871 and the large multi-story barn has a broad gable roof and wood shingle sheathing. It is the only extant structure from the Suffolk County Almshouse.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Baseball Heaven (BBH) is a 27-acre baseball complex in Yaphank, New York on Long Island. The complex is located close to Long Island MacArthur Airport. Baseball Heaven attracts talent from the New England and Mid-Atlantic states. The complex features four ninety foot base path artificial turf fields and three are seventy foot artificial turf fields. Approximately 750,000 people visit Baseball Heaven on an annual basis.

Yaphank () is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 5,945 at the time of the 2010 census.Yaphank is located in the south part of the Town of Brookhaven. It is served by the Longwood Central School District, except for extreme southwestern Yaphank, which is served by the South Country Central School District. In the 1930s, Yaphank was a center of American Nazism where Camp Siegfried drew up to a thousand weekly visitors from New York City for pro-Nazi rallies and vacationing.

Yaphank is a station in the hamlet of Yaphank, New York on the Main Line (Greenport Branch) of the Long Island Rail Road. It is located on Park Street near Suffolk County Road 21 (Yaphank Avenue). It is also accessible from streets in and around Suffolk County. The distance between Yaphank and the next station, Riverhead, is the longest distance between stations in the LIRR at 14.7 miles (23.7 km). Government buildings are located on the north side of the tracks at the bottom of the Yaphank Avenue overpass. The two sites that are closest to the station are the Suffolk County Police Department auto mechanics shop (a.k.a. "Vector Center") as well as a Georgia-Pacific railroad lumber yard. The historic Suffolk County Almshouse Barn and the former Suffolk County Sanitorium can be found northwest of the station, as well as the Yaphank Avenue bridge over the tracks.

Bartlett's was a private flag stop on the Long Island Rail Road's Main Line, that opened under the name Bellport in 1844 with the opening of the LIRR. Located 2+1⁄2 miles (4.0 km) east of Medford station and thus much further north than Bellport, it included a stagecoach connection down Bellport (Station) Road to Bellport Village, hence the station's name.

Homan-Gerard House and Mills is a historic home and mill complex located at Yaphank in Suffolk County, New York. It is composed of a large Federal-style residence (built about 1790), four contributing related support buildings, and six contributing related archaeological sites. The house is a 2+1⁄2-story frame residence with a three-bay facade, gambrel roof, center chimney, and kitchen wing. Also on the property are three small sheds and a large 2-story, late-19th-century barn. Archaeological remains include that of the J. P. Mills Store and Homan-Gerard saw mill and grist mill.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. Across from Yaphank Avenue is the Robert Hawkins Homestead

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church is a historic church on East Main Street in Yaphank, New York. The church was built on land formerly owned by James Huggins Weeks, who was a Yaphank resident since 1827, and a former President of the Long Island Rail Road between 1847 and 1850. It was built in 1853 and was built to resemble The Old Grace Church in Massapequa. An extension on the east side of the church was added later on, but otherwise, it remains largely unchanged. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Camp Siegfried, a summer camp which taught Nazi ideology, was located in Yaphank, New York, on Long Island. It was owned by the German American Bund, an American Nazi organization devoted to promoting a favorable view of Nazi Germany, and was operated by the German American Settlement League (GASL). Camp Siegfried was one of many such camps in the US in the 1930s, including Camp Hindenberg in Grafton, Wisconsin, Camp Nordland in Andover, New Jersey, Deutschhorst Country Club in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, and a camp in Windham, New York.
