Cathal Brugha Street ( Irish: Sráid Chathal Brugha) is a street on the northside of Dublin, Ireland.

It is located on Parnell Street between the intersections with O'Connell Street and Marborough Street, near the Parnell Monument and provides access to the Gate Theatre, the James Joyce Centre, the Hugh Lane Gallery, the Dublin Writers Museum, and Mountjoy Square.

St Mary's Church (Irish: Leas-Ardeaglais Naomh Muire), known also as St Mary's Pro-Cathedral or simply the Pro-Cathedral, the Chapel in Marlborough Street or the Pro, is a pro-cathedral and is the episcopal seat of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Dublin and Primate of Ireland.

The James Joyce Centre is a museum and cultural centre in Dublin, Ireland, dedicated to promoting an understanding of the life and works of James Joyce.The centre is situated in a restored 18th-century Georgian townhouse at 35 North Great George's Street, Dublin, dating from a time when north inner city Dublin was at the height of its grandeur. It was previously owned by the Earl of Kenmare, and a Denis Maginni, who was featured in Ulysses. On permanent exhibit is furniture from Paul Leon's apartment in Paris, where Joyce wrote much of Finnegans Wake, and the door to the home of Leopold Bloom and his wife, Molly, number 7 Eccles Street, one of the more famous addresses in literature, which had been rescued from demolition by John Ryan. The centre does not host a significant permanent collection beyond the furnishings, but temporary exhibitions interpret various aspects of Joyce's life and work, and the centre organises lectures and literary walking tours, and the annual Bloomsday Festival, in Dublin. It also promotes other Joycean events, such as community Bloomsday events.

Gareth Hutch was shot dead in Dublin on Tuesday 24 May 2016. He was a nephew of Gerry Hutch. He was also a cousin of Gary Hutch and a nephew of Eddie Hutch Snr.Shortly before he was shot, Gareth Hutch was issued with a Garda Information Message that there was a threat to his life.

Tyrone House is a Georgian mansion townhouse built for Marcus Beresford, 1st Earl of Tyrone in 1740. It was constructed on lands bordering Marlborough Street (formerly Tyrone Street) in what was to become a fashionable part of North Dublin city off Sackville Street. It was the first substantial aristocratic house built on the North side of Dublin city.The house was situated close to Marlborough Bowling Green and Pleasure Gardens, which was then a fashionable enclave where the wealthy elite could socialize until it fell out of favour following the death of Lord Delvin in a duel in 1761.
