Houserville Site

WLEJ (1450 kHz) is a classic country AM radio station broadcasting in State College, Pennsylvania, United States. It is owned by Kristin Cantrell's Seven Mountains Media, through licensee Southern Belle Media Family, LLC. Programming is also heard over FM translator W279DK (103.7 FM), offering a signal on the FM band in the immediate State College area.

The Centre Furnace Mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the headquarters of the Centre County Historical Society, located in State College, Pennsylvania. The Mansion, the ironmaster's residence for Centre Furnace, has been restored and is furnished to reflect the period of residency of ironmaster Moses Thompson and his family, 1842–1891. A mansion in miniature, identical to the original and scaled one inch to one foot, is on permanent display. This historic mansion and nearby iron furnace stack represent the 18th century beginnings of the charcoal iron industry in the central Pennsylvania area, and the 19th century beginnings of the Pennsylvania State University.Centre Furnace site includes the Centre Furnace Mansion, furnace stack, and surrounding eight acres. This National Register site represents a small portion of the late 18th-century ironmaking village once located here. Its interpretation is based on historical documentation and archaeological research, and includes carefully landscaped grounds with walkways and period gardens. The Mansion is home to various exhibits, programs, and fundraisers throughout the year.Mansion Tours Hours: 1:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, Wednesday, Friday by reservation. Mansion Tours are free and open to the public; though donations are welcome (suggested $4.00). A tour takes around one hour. The first two floors are handicap accessible. The CCHS office is closed with no tours the week between Christmas and New Year's.

Medlar Field at Lubrano Park is a 5,570-seat baseball stadium in University Park, Pennsylvania, that hosted its first regular season baseball game on June 20, 2006, when the State College Spikes lost to the Williamsport Crosscutters, 5–3. The Penn State Nittany Lions college baseball team began play at the ballpark in 2007.Seating capacity is 5,570 people. Events other than baseball games are held at the ballpark, and different seating configurations are available. This stadium was designed to feature an unobstructed view of Penn State landmark Mount Nittany over the outfield wall.

Lemont is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Centre County, Pennsylvania, United States, and is the location of the only remaining granary in Pennsylvania. Joe Paterno is a bronze sculpture of Joe Paterno, former head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions football team. It was located on the northeast side of Beaver Stadium on the campus of the Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania until it was removed in 2012 in the aftermath of the Penn State child sex abuse scandal.

The Pennsylvania State University (PSU) Radiation Science & Engineering Center (RSEC) houses the Breazeale Nuclear Reactor (BNR). This reactor is the oldest operating in the nation and has undergone numerous power upgrades, renovations, and other changes. The reactor serves the research purposes of the Penn State Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering as well as researchers from industry and other universities. Its total licensed thermal output is 1.1 MW, however the reactor is procedurally limited to 1.0 MW (for 100% operation).

Gen. John Thompson House is a historic home located at College Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1813–1814, and is a two-story, three-bay, Georgian style limestone and sandstone farmhouse with stone kitchen ell. The interior has a traditional center hall plan. A large one-story board-and-batten sided family room addition was built in 1958–1959. Also on the property is a large barn dated to the American Civil War period.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
