All American Institute of Medical Sciences is a private medical school located in the town of Black River, St. Elizabeth Parish, Jamaica, which began operations in 2009. It was chartered by the Government of Jamaica in 2009, and provisionally accredited by the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and other Health Professions (CAAM-HP) in 2010 with an annual renewal to 2015. The university began classes in 2011 at its Jamaica campus and graduated its first class in 2014.

The shopping Centre Khemlani Mart is also located in the Neighbourhood.

TBC Radio is a Christian radio station in Kingston, Jamaica, broadcasting on 88.5 MHz FM. It is owned by Tarrant Baptist Church. TBC Radio airs a variety of Christian programs including programs that are locally produced and syndicated programs such as Focus on the Family, Back to the Bible, and Unshackled!, as well as the Children's program Adventures in Odyssey.

In September 2013, for the second staging of Kingston Bridal Week, and for the first time in Jamaica, Kingston Bridal Week hosted Randy Fenoli, TV star of TLC 's Say Yes To The Dress and Randy to the Rescue and author of It's all About the Dress,.As part of Kingston Bridal Week's Lifestyle and Honeymoon fashion shows, the event has featured international designers Rebacca Ansah (UK), Kesia Eastwick (Barbados), Cedella Marley (Jamaica), Spokes Apparel, Roger Gary (Guyana), and Lubica (Slovakia).Kingston Bridal Week has hosted three charity events as part of annual bridal week: In 2012 - a charity dinner in partnership with Angels of Love, A Jamaican charity for children was hosted by international recording artist Tami Chynn, sister of Jamaican singer Tessanne Chin; Brides for Haiti, charity dress drive; and Baggage Claim charity movie premiere.

Devon House, built in 1881, is the former residence of George Stiebel (1820–1896), Jamaica's first black millionaire, in St. Andrew. He gained his wealth in Venezuela and returned to Jamaica. He was appointed as the Custos, a high civic post, of St. Andrew. His residence has been restored and is operated as a house museum and National Heritage Site.

Trinity Moravian church houses a congregation of the Jamaican province of the Moravian Church. It was established in 1954 as part of the bicentenary celebrations of the Moravian Church in Jamaica.
