Ormonde (1885–88) is a Shingle Style country house built on the eastern shore of Cazenovia Lake in Cazenovia, New York. It was designed by architect Frank Furness for George R. Preston, a New Orleans banker who settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The 9-bedroom "summer cottage" was originally the centerpiece of a 300-acre (121.4 ha) estate, that was expanded to 400 acres (161.8 ha) early in the 20th century. The carriagehouse and other buildings have since been demolished, and the land subdivided, leaving the main house and boathouse on 2.4 acres (1 ha). The boathouse's design is unusual: a square stone ground floor at lake's edge supporting a circular shingled second floor, ringed by a 360-degree deck. It relates to Furness's Undine Barge Club (1882–83) on Philadelphia's Boathouse Row, and the architect's own summer cottage, Idlewild (c. 1890), in Media, Pennsylvania. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. In addition to the main house and boathouse, it includes one non-contributing building. Ormonde is "architecturally and historically important as an outstanding early example of the type of large mansions constructed chiefly as summer residences by wealthy clients in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries near the shores of Cazenovia Lake in central New York." It followed Cedar Cove (1884), designed by architect George Browne Post, the first "summer cottage" built on the lake. Others included Notleymere, designed by architect Robert W. Gibson; Scrooby, designed by architect Robert S. Stephenson; and Shore Acres, designed by architect Stanford White. Ormonde is part of the Cazenovia Town Multiple Resource area.

Cedar Cove (1884), also known as Villa LeMoyne or the Joseph D. Peet Estate, is a "summer cottage" on the eastern shore of Cazenovia Lake in Cazenovia, Madison County, New York. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.The listing includes 4 contributing buildings, 2 non-contributing buildings over a 5.5-acre (2.2 ha) area. Notleymere (1885–89), also known as the Frank Norton estate, is a historic house located on the eastern shore of Cazenovia Lake in Cazenovia, Madison County, New York. The large, Shingle Style "summer cottage" was designed by architect Robert W. Gibson. It is a picturesque, asymmetrically massed, 3+1⁄2-story structure, sheathed in dark-stained wooden shingles and covered by a steeply pitched, multi-gabled, shingle roof. It features two tall, corbelled brick chimneys and a three-story polygonal turret.The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.After acting as a Bed and breakfast for years, it was purchased in 2013. It was extensively remodeled in 2014–2015, updating the historic house to be used as a private residence owned by the DiFulgentiz family. Several hundred yards north of it is another "summer cottage" on the National Register, Ormonde.

York Lodge, also known as Bittersweet, is a historic home and national historic district located at Cazenovia in Madison County, New York. The district contains six contributing buildings and one contributing site. The main house, which was built about 1904, is an eclectic mansion with features reflecting a combination of the then popular Jacobethan Revival, Georgian Revival, and Shingle Styles. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, L-shaped, frame dwelling built as a summer residence. It features a 2-story, semi-circular sleeping porch with shingled piers and a conical roof. Also on the property is a gazebo, carriage house, gardener's cottage, garage, and two work sheds. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Hillcrest is a historic home and national historic district located at Cazenovia in Madison County, New York. The district contains four contributing buildings. The main house was built in 1903 and is an irregularly massed, three story frame residence built in a combination of the Colonial Revival and Queen Anne styles. It features a conical, three story turret and rounded, one story enclosed porch. Also on the property is a carriage house, guest house, and formal gateway. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

The Hickories is a historic home located at Cazenovia in Madison County, New York. It was built in 1897 and is a large summer home built in a combined Shingle Style and Georgian Revival style. It is a roughly rectangular, two-story residence that was built as a summer home for Reverend Townsend Glover Jackson, a Cazenovia minister. It features a central two-story, pedimented projecting portico with paired Ionic order columns. Also on the property is a boathouse. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Cazenovia High School is a public high school located in Cazenovia, New York. It is operated by Cazenovia Central School District.

Cazenovia College was a private college in Cazenovia, New York. Founded as the Genesee Seminary in 1824 and sponsored by the Methodist Church in 1894, the college adopted the name of Cazenovia Seminary. It was reorganized in 1942 after church sponsorship was withdrawn and was Cazenovia College for Women from 1961 to 1982, when the college became co-educational again. It closed on June 30, 2023, due to poor finances and other economic issues.

Lehigh Valley Railroad Depot is a historic railroad depot building located at Cazenovia in Madison County, New York. It was built in 1894 as a depot for the Elmira, Cortland and Northern Railroad, later the Lehigh Valley Railroad. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, rectangular, gable-roofed, largely clapboarded structure. It is a distinctive example of the Stick-Eastlake–style architecture. It was abandoned by the railroad in 1965. This was a stop on the Lehigh Valley's Elmira and Cortland Branch which actually went to Canastota and Camden, on the section between Cortland and Canastota. Service was eliminated by the early 1940s. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
