Bethlehem Township is a township in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is part of the New York metropolitan area. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 3,745, a decrease of 234 (−5.9%) from the 2010 census count of 3,979, which in turn reflected an increase of 159 (+4.2%) from the 3,820 counted in the 2000 census.

Pattenburg is an unincorporated community located within Union Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States.The Norfolk Southern Railway's Lehigh Line (formerly the mainline of the Lehigh Valley Railroad), runs through Pattenburg and Lehigh Line's south entrance to the Pattenburg Tunnel is located in Pattenburg.

West Portal is an unincorporated community located within Bethlehem Township, in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.The community is centered at the intersection of Route 173 and County Route 643, approximately 5.1 miles (8.2 km) southwest of Hampton. The Norfolk Southern Railway's Lehigh Line (formerly the mainline of the Lehigh Valley Railroad), runs through West Portal and Lehigh Line's north entrance to the Pattenburg Tunnel (which goes underneath Musconetcong Mountain) is located in West Portal.

Norton is an unincorporated community located within Union Township, in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Norton is located on County Route 635, approximately 1.5 mi (2.4 km) northwest of Interstate 78. The village is included in the Van Syckel Corner District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Case Farmstead, also known as the Daniel Case / Sarah Clark Case Farmstead, is a historic 88-acre (36 ha) farm located along County Route 614 (Little York-Pattenburg Road) near Pattenburg in Union Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 14, 1979, for its significance in architecture and medicine. The farmstead includes three contributing buildings.

Asbury is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Franklin Township in Warren County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that was created as part of the 2010 United States Census. As of the 2010 Census, the CDP's population was 273.

Van Syckel (also spelled Van Syckle) is an unincorporated community located within Union Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The Van Syckel Corner District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Asbury Historic District is a 288-acre (117 ha) historic district encompassing the community of Asbury in Franklin Township of Warren County, New Jersey. It is bounded by County Route 632 (Asbury Anderson Road), County Route 643 (Old Main Street), Maple Avenue, Kitchen Road, and School Street and extends along the Musconetcong River into Bethlehem Township of Hunterdon County. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 19, 1993 for its significance in architecture, industry, religion, community development, politics/government, and commerce. The district includes 141 contributing buildings, a contributing structure, two contributing sites, and four contributing objects.

Perryville is an unincorporated community located at the intersection of Interstate 78 and Perryville Road within Union Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.The Perryville Station, one of the New Jersey State Police Troop B road stations, is located here.

The Perryville Tavern, also known as the Perryville Inn, is a historic building at 167 Perryville Road in Perryville, Union Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 15, 1977 for its significance in architecture and commerce. The tavern is located west of Clinton, south of the intersection of Interstate 78 and Perryville Road.

A new elementary school, named "Union Township Elementary School", opened for the 2006-2007 school year. The older building was renamed Union Township Middle School.
