Krško Castle (Slovene: Grad Krško, German: Schloss Gurckfeld) is a 12th-century castle ruin to the right of the Sava above the old center of the town of Krško, southeastern Slovenia. It stands in the territory of the settlement of Cesta. The castle and town are both named after the nearby Krka River.

The Brestanica Thermal Power Plant (Slovene: Termoelektrarna Brestanica) is a natural gas and petroleum fueled power station in Brestanica, Slovenia. The plant is owned by GEN energija and operated by Termoelektrarna Brestanica Doo. Composed of gas turbines with fast response times to changes in demand, the plant is primarily used to provide ancillary services to the electrical grid such as frequency restoration; the plant also provides traditional electricity generation during times of high demand.

Archaeological finds from the area indicate that the Roman road from Neviodunum to Celeia and the bridge over the Sava River were on the banks below the settlement.

Armeško (pronounced [aɾˈmeːʃkɔ]) is a settlement north of Brestanica in the Municipality of Krško in eastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region. The local church, built on a hill northeast of the main core of the settlement, is dedicated to the Holy Cross. It is a medieval structure that was remodelled in the Baroque style in the 18th century. Its interior was refurbished in the 19th century.

It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region.The local church is dedicated to Saints Primus and Felician and belongs to the Parish of Videm–Krško. It has a rectangular nave with a three-sided apse and dates to 1654. The main altar is from the 18th century.

The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region.

Anže (pronounced [ˈaːnʒɛ]) is a settlement in the hills east of Brestanica in the Municipality of Krško in eastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region. There are two small chapel-shrines in the settlement. One, north of the settlement, dates to the late 19th century. The second, dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes, to the south of the settlement, was built in 1996.
