Cheektowaga Central High School is a high school in Cheektowaga, New York located at 3600 Union Road and serves grades 9 through 12. The current principal is Karin Cyganovich and the current assistant principal is Mr. Michael Fatta. It is part of the Cheektowaga Central School District.

Walden Galleria is a regional shopping mall located in Cheektowaga, a suburb of Buffalo, New York located east of Interstate 90 and New York State Thruway Exit 52 off Walden Avenue. The Walden Galleria comprises more than 1,600,000 square feet (150,000 m2) of retail space, with 170 stores on two levels, including a food court and a movie theater. The Galleria currently features Macy's, JCPenney, Dick's Sporting Goods, Best Buy, DSW Shoe Warehouse, Forever 21, Old Navy, and a Regal Cinemas multiplex. As of 2022, Walden Galleria is the Buffalo-Niagara region's top shopping, dining, and entertainment destination. In 2021, Walden Galleria was listed among the top 20 most visited shopping centers in America, attracting over 23 million visitors from the United States and Canada. The mall is owned and managed by The Pyramid Companies of Syracuse, New York, the same management firm which developed it.

Forks is a hamlet in the town of Cheektowaga in Erie County, New York, United States. surrounded by George Urban Blvd, Dick Rd, Union Rd and Broadway St.Forks is the site of what was once one of the largest coal trestles in the United States, over half a mile long, which was built in the 1880s and burned in the 1920s.The Forks Hotel on Broadway St. was built in 1853 along the new Attica & Buffalo Railroad. The building served variously as a hotel, railroad station, post office and bar. In 1958 it was purchased by local magician Eddie Fechter, who operated it as a venue for magic shows. Fechter died in the late 1970s, and the hotel was sold, but continued to hold magic shows. The building was damaged by fire in 1998 and demolished in 2003.

The town is in the north-central part of the county, and is an inner ring suburb of Buffalo. The town is the second-largest suburb of Buffalo, after the Town of Amherst. The town of Cheektowaga contains the village of Sloan and half of the village of Depew. The remainder, outside the villages, is a census-designated place also named Cheektowaga. The town is home to the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, Erie County's principal airport.Villa Maria College, Empire State College, and the Walden Galleria are in Cheektowaga.

South Cheektowaga is a neighborhood on the West Seneca border near French Road, in the town of Cheektowaga, in Erie County, New York, United States. It is home to the large South Line Fire Company, as well as Stigimeier Park (Losson Park), where nature trails and sports areas are located, the latter of which is used by area leagues, such as South Cheektowaga Baseball Association and the Cheektowaga Recreation Department. Adjacent to the park is located the Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve, a DEC protected area. The area is mainly residential, with a few larger stores along the main routes.

Buffalo–Depew station is an Amtrak train station in Depew, New York, a suburb of Buffalo. It was built in 1979 to replace the Buffalo Central Terminal as Buffalo's main Amtrak station. (Buffalo–Exchange Street station, located near downtown Buffalo, has limited parking space and is located on a line that is not easily accessible by the Lake Shore Limited.) It is located 10 miles (16 km) east of downtown Buffalo. The station was built to a standard design common to most Amtrak stations built from the 1970s to the early 1990s. Standard features at Depew include concrete block walls, floor-to-ceiling windows and a cantilevered black roof.The station is served by eight trains per day: two Empire Service round trips, one Lake Shore Limited round trip, and one Maple Leaf round trip. It has a single side platform adjacent to the southernmost of the four tracks of the Rochester Subdivision. The Lake Shore Subdivision, used by the Lake Shore Limited, diverges to the south between Buffalo–Depew and downtown Buffalo.

The population recorded was 12,766. The census area dissolved in 1970, however the census area became part of Cheektowaga CDP in 1980, when the CDP recorded a population of 92,145.
