Annamma Betta is a Christian pilgrim centre in the city of Bengaluru (Bangalore), Karnataka, and is situated in the Uttarahalli and Arehalli hill ranges. This hillock is also referred to as Hanumagiri Betta by some groups but folks still call it as Annamma Betta or Yesu Betta or even Shilube Betta. Days are these where the trees are uprooted and the lush greenery is blackened, and same is the fate of small hillocks in and around Bengaluru. The legend of Annamma dates back to Tipu Sultan's era. Uttarahalli then a Christian pocket was lying by the side of Tipu's cavalry path. During that period according the legend the lonely girl Annamma had fallen prey to the Mysuru soldiers and in the bid of escape she fell down from the hill. Repenting on this the soldiers have buried Annamma and erected a cross on the grave. Thus Annamma became the village deity and people from all walks started adoring her. Till today the hill is popularly called as Annamma Betta (betta = hill) and one can see a huge steel cross on the tip of the hill erected by Rev.Fr. Briand. During Lent the Christians follow the Way of the Cross. The pictures showing Jesus accepting the death sentence and carrying the cross to the Mount Calvary or Golgotha is being recited along the 14 stations is called the 'Way of the Cross'. Every Friday evenings during Lent the Churches witness this performance of the Cross procession. The same Way of the Cross if performed in the hillock Annamma Betta. Annamma Betta is the seat of the Stations of the Cross for two centuries. The day that is the fifth Sunday (this year it is on 21 March 2021) of the Lent the surface of the mountain will be filled with the devotees climbing the mountain surface. At the foot of the hill is the legendary Annamma's cemetery and there is also a Catholic Church and an adoration chapel. Carrying his own cross, mourning at 14 different stations gives a bare witness to a man scaling his life overcoming all the hurdles. Thus the Way of the Cross at the Annamma betta unveils the different faces of devotion.

Gowdanapalya is one of the residential localities in Bangalore, India. It is situated in the south of the city, very close to the highway leading to Kanakapura. It also has a park with gym equipments and next to Dore kere there is an area for playing various sports like tennis, cricket, football and badminton. Gowdanapalya has a vast historical past rooted in religion and mythology. In 1965, there were just 18 houses which primarily grew finger millet. The descendants of the oldest family in the 1960s still live in Gowdanapalya. Every friday, many local residents reportedly pray to Durga for her blessings. Gowdanapalya currently suffers from many issues pertaining to cleanliness, infrastructure and urban development; despite many attempts being made by citizen activists and authorities.

Padmanabhanagar is a residential locality in Bangalore, India, covering an area of 1.68 km2 It's one of the zones of BBMP. Padmanabhanagar has a very famous park called Lakshmikanta Park. This park houses Lakshmi Kantha temple. It was looked after by residents association, in 2018 the corporator allotted funds and developed it further. The park was eyed for its medicinal trees and was sanctioned to be cut down completely and set up a landscaped area but the senior citizens of the locality who nurtured the park protested and stopped it. It is surrounded by Kumaraswamy Layout, Gowdanapalya, Chennamanakere, Kathriguppe, Kadirenahalli, Uttarahalli and Chikkakalasandra. It is a constituency in the Karnataka legislative assembly. The assembly constituency has several areas surrounding Padmanabhanagara like Kumaraswamy Layout, Yediyur, Tyagarajanagara, Banashankari 2nd stage, Yarab Nagara, parts of Banashankari temple ward, Jayanagara 6th/7th/8th blocks, Shastri Nagara. The constituency is currently represented by Shri R Ashoka (Bharathiya Janata Party). Padmanabhanagara is also a ward constituency in BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike ward No. 182) which is currently represented by Smt. L Shobha Anjanappa of BJP (Bharathiya Janata Party).

Jnanakshi Rajarajeshwari Temple is a Hindu temple located in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru district in Karnataka. The primary deity of the temple is Shri Rajarajeshwari. The temple was constructed in the year 1978 by Sri Sivaratnapuri Swamiji (popularly known as Sri Tiruchi Swamigal). The idol of Goddess Sri Rajarajeshwari, a form of Goddess Sri Lalita Tripurasundari. This temple is believed to be the "ear" or "karnabhaga" of Bharat's many Shaktipeethas as mentioned in the Tantra Chudamani. It was once known as Kanchanagiri situated between the Cauvery and Vrishabhavati rivers. The ruling Bhairava, Abiru Bhairava, is known as Jaya Peetha. The temple is believed to have been the home of the pious wife Anusuya and the sage Atri, who attained siddhi by appeasing the holy mother Sri Rajarajeshwari. The temple grounds are believed to be a sacred place for various devas, rishis, munis, and siddhas.
