Center Theatre, also known as the Woodbourne Theater, is a historic theatre located at Woodbourne in Sullivan County, New York. It was built in 1938 and is a three bays wide, two stories tall Art Deco structure. It is three time longer than it is wide and has a large auditorium behind the entrance pavilion. The entrance pavilion consists of the facade, foyer, and lobby.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

B'nai Israel Synagogue is a historic synagogue on NY 52 in Woodbourne, Town of Fallsburg, Sullivan County, New York. The first rabbi of the synagogue was David Isaac Godlin (1868-1943). It was built in 1920 and is a two-story building above a shallow concrete basement. It is a wood-frame structure, three bays wide by four bays deep and surmounted by a steep gable roof with deep wooden cornice.In the spring of 2010 Mordechai Jungreis, Rebbe of the Nikolsburg-Woodbourne Hasidic dynasty, began using the synagogue. Jungreis, who has a synagogue in the Borough Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, has attracted a large following of Jews. Services take place there all day long from early morning to past midnight. The synagogue was initially used during the summer months, from Memorial day to Labor Day, when Sullivan County sees a large influx of Jewish vacationers. After COVID more people began using the synagogue during the year and now it is currently open all year long. Check the schedule of services during the winter months as Minyan is not as common as during the summer. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

With this, the local economy expands in the warmer months as locally owned small businesses thrive until approximately Labor Day Weekend, marking the typical end of summer.

Woodbourne Correctional Facility is a medium security men's prison operated by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision in Woodbourne, New York of Sullivan County. It is located on the same tract of land as maximum security Sullivan Correctional Facility. The prison opened in 1933, designed by Alfred Hopkins, an estate architect with a sideline in prisons such as Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary in Pennsylvania. Hopkins also designed Wallkill Correctional Facility and Coxsackie Correctional Facility for the state.

It is bordered to the south by South Fallsburg and to the north by Woodbourne. The Neversink River, a tributary of the Delaware River, flows from north to south through the community. New York State Route 42 passes through the community, following the west side of the Neversink. The highway leads north 2 miles (3 km) to Woodbourne and 10 miles (16 km) to Grahamsville, while to the southwest it leads 8 miles (13 km) to Monticello.

Yeshiva Gedolah Zichron Moshe, also known as Yeshiva of South Fallsburg, is a private yeshiva in South Fallsburg, New York. It is considered one of the leading beit midrash (undergraduate-level) programs in the United States, maintaining a "steady" enrollment of approximately 200 students. As an Orthodox rabbinical college, all students are male. Known colloquially as "Fallsburg", its students come from all over the United States, Europe and Israel. Following a stint in Fallsburg, students usually spend time in Israel, ideally in one of the many Brisker institutions there. Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Soloveitchik, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Brisk in Jerusalem, is known to accept a high percentage of Fallsburg's graduates. The yeshiva is accredited by the Association of Advanced Rabbinical and Talmudic Schools, and offers the bachelor's degree as well as first professional certification.

Ohave Shalom Synagogue, also referred to as the Woodridge Shul, is an Orthodox Jewish synagogue, that practices in the Ashkenazi rite, located at 14 Maurice Rose Street in Woodridge, in the Catskills region of southeast New York, in the United States. The brick building was erected in 1930 by a splinter group from what was then the village's only synagogue, later absorbed into Ohave Shalom itself. Its interior is decorated with paintings on religious themes. It was not the only synagogue in Sullivan County ever built with such decoration, but it is the only one where the paintings survive, although they are not as extensive as they were when the synagogue was built. The synagogue was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 22, 2000. In 2020, the congregation launched an urgent appeal for funds to support the ongoing maintenance and restoration of the historical synagogue.

The commercial center of Loch Sheldrake is the intersection of County Road 104 and NYS Route 52, at the edge of Sheldrake Pond. In its heyday as a Catskills Borscht Belt resort it was home to numerous hotels, bungalow colonies and boarding houses. Some of the best known of these were the Brown's Hotel, where comedian Jerry Lewis worked; the Evans Hotel; and the Karmel Hotel, now Stagedoor Manor, a renowned performing arts summer camp. It is also the home of Sullivan County Community College and the Lochmor Golf Course.Congregation Adath Israel, the Loch Sheldrake Synagogue was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. The Synagogue is open in the summer and for the High Holidays, under the leadership of Rabbi Dr. Rashi Shapiro. In 2012, a year-round Hasidic community was founded in Loch Sheldrake, in Town and Country Estates, with a synagogue, mikvah, a boys cheder, and a girls nursery school.

Stagedoor Manor is a performing arts training center located in Loch Sheldrake, New York. Since its opening, it has trained thousands of young actors, many of whom have gone on to success in film, television, and theater. Stagedoor Manor is located in a former Catskills Borscht Belt resort (Karmel Hotel) in Loch Sheldrake, New York that was redesigned in the 1970s. The camp consists of a variety of theatre spaces, including the Carousel, the Cabaret, the Forum, the Merman, and the outdoor Garden Theatre. The four largest theaters are the 350-seat Carl and Elsie Samuelson Theatre, the 250-seat Jack Romano Playhouse, the Oasis Theatre (a theatre-in-the-round), and the new Forum Theatre.

Loch Sheldrake Synagogue is a historic synagogue on NY 52, north of the junction of NY 52 and Loch Sheldrake Road in Loch Sheldrake, Sullivan County, New York. It was built between 1922 and 1930 of buff-colored brick on a concrete foundation, three bays wide and five bays deep. It is surmounted by a steep gable roof and features a projecting, stepped-gabled entrance pavilion with a limestone parapet.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.The synagogue is open for daily prayer services in the Summer and prays according to the Ashkenazi custom. The spiritual leader of the synagogue during the summer is Rabbi Rashi Shapiro.
