Dryden District School No. 5, also known as Eight Square Schoolhouse, is a historic octagonal school building located in Dryden in Tompkins County, New York. It was built in 1827 and is a simple one-room, one-story, brick octagon style building constructed with a low pitch hipped roof banded by a plain narrow frieze. A circular brick chimney rises from the center of the standing seam metal roof. Also on the property are two free standing, wood frame, gable roofed outhouses. It was used as a school until 1941 and is now a facility of the Dewitt Historical Society.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The Cornell Lab of Ornithology is a member-supported unit of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, which studies birds and other wildlife. It is housed in the Imogene Powers Johnson Center for Birds and Biodiversity in Sapsucker Woods Sanctuary. Approximately 250 scientists, professors, staff, and students work in a variety of programs devoted to the Lab's mission: interpreting and conserving the Earth's biological diversity through research, education, and citizen science focused on birds. Work at the Lab is supported primarily by its 75,000 members. The Cornell Lab publishes books under the Cornell Lab Publishing Group, a quarterly publication, Living Bird magazine, and a monthly electronic newsletter. It manages numerous citizen science projects and websites, including the Webby Award-winning All About Birds.

WVBR-FM (93.5 FM) is a commercial, student-owned and volunteer-run college radio station that broadcasts to Ithaca, New York and surrounding areas. It operates at 3 kilowatts from a transmitter on Hungerford Hill, in Ithaca. Prior to 2016, WVBR had a translator on 105.5 FM. The website WVBR.com provides an additional web-based stream. WVBR purchased, remodeled and relocated to a new studio in Collegetown, located at 604 E. Buffalo Street. A ribbon-cutting event was held on March 15, 2014, where the new building was named the Olbermann-Corneliess Studios, after Keith Olbermann's father, Ted, and his close friend and alumnus, Glenn Corneliess.

Forest Home Historic District is a national historic district located at Forest Home in Tompkins County, New York. The district consists of 66 contributing buildings, four contributing sites (three bridges and a dam), and two contributing sites (archaeological remains of former grist mills). The historic building stock consists primarily of one- to two-story frame dwellings on relatively small, irregularly shaped lots.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The Robert Trent Jones Golf Course is Cornell University's golf course. Designed by Cornell alumnus Robert Trent Jones and located northeast of North Campus in Ithaca, New York, the first half of the 18 hole course was opened in 1941, and the other 9 holes were added in 1954.It has been described as "the finest of Jones’s Finger Lakes offerings".The golf course hosts local and regional tournaments, Ivy League games, the New York State high school boy's annual golf championships and acts as a home course for Cornell's women's and men's golf teams.

Forest Home is a census-designated place (CDP) in Tompkins County, New York, United States. The population was 572 at the 2010 census. The community of Forest Home is in the Town of Ithaca, northeast of the City of Ithaca and north of Cornell University.

The Cornell Botanic Gardens is a botanical garden located adjacent to the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, New York. The Botanic Gardens proper consist of 25 acres (10 ha) of botanical gardens and 150 acres (61 ha) of the F. R. Newman Arboretum. The greater Botanic Gardens includes 40 different nature areas around Cornell and Ithaca, covering 4,300 acres (1,700 ha). The origin of the Botanic Gardens dates back to Cornell's beginning in the mid-19th century and are part of the university's longtime interest in agriculture, forestry, and the natural sciences. The Botanic Gardens saw a major planting effort during the 1930s and assumed the name Cornell Plantations in 1944. Gardens and facilities have continually expanded, including a construction program at the start of the 21st century. The Botanic Gardens also maintains four gardens on Cornell's central campus. The Botanic Gardens offers three courses for academic credit, are used as a resource by other classes, host a number of informal lectures and tours, and have played a part in many scholarly papers. As of 2009, the Botanic Gardens had a $2.9 million annual operating budget. The name was changed to the current form in 2016. The gardens specialize in trees and shrubs native to New York State. The themed herb garden is especially noted. The Botanic Gardens have been the subject of several books and films over the years, are open daily without charge, and have been recommended as a visitation site by a number of travel books and newspaper travel sections.

Wing Hall is a building on the campus of Cornell University that was built during 1912–1914. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. Wing Hall was designed by architect E.B. Green, himself a Cornell alumnus, of Buffalo architectural firm Green & Wicks. Along with Fernow Hall and Caldwell Hall, designed by the same firm, it was funded by a New York State appropriation in 1912. It is a three-story building. Its main entrance is centered in its long elevation, with a central bay projecting slightly from flanking walls. It has a two-story three-bay-wide Ionic-columned portico, with pilasters defining the bays of the third story above.It was built for teaching of animal husbandry, and was located near recently built university barns, about one-half mile east of the original college buildings. Its NRHP nomination describes that "It combined extensive practical laboratory space with a library 'containing the herd and flock books of different breeds' and an auditorium into which live animals could be brought.": 11
