The United States Military Academy Preparatory School (USMAPS), sometimes referred to as West Point Prep, is a preparatory school for the United States Military Academy (USMA). Located in West Point, New York, its official mission is "to provide academic, military and physical instruction in a moral-ethical military environment to prepare and motivate candidates for success at the United States Military Academy."

The West Point Mint is a U.S. Mint production and depository facility erected in 1937 near the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York, United States. As of 2019 the mint holds 22% of the United States' gold reserves, or approximately 54 million ounces (over $100 billion USD as of 2021). The mint at West Point is second only to the gold reserves held in secure storage at Fort Knox. Originally, the West Point Mint was called the West Point Bullion Depository. At one point it had the highest concentration of silver of any U.S. mint facility, and for 12 years produced circulating Lincoln cents. It has since minted mostly commemorative coins and stored gold. It gained official status as a branch of the United States Mint on March 31, 1988. Later that year it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Storm King Highway is a three-mile (4.8 km) segment of New York State Route 218 (NY 218) between Lee Road in the Town of Highlands at the south end and the Cornwall-on-Hudson village line in Orange County, New York, in the United States. It was built in 1916 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 in recognition of its accomplishment in civil engineering. It is so named because it winds around the steep slopes of Storm King Mountain near its north end of the Hudson Highlands on the west bank of the Hudson River. Here it reaches heights of up to 420 feet (130 m) above the water, with panoramic views of the river and surrounding mountains such as Breakneck Ridge and Bull Hill. Several small pullouts allow drivers to stop and enjoy the view. When built it took 22 miles (35 km) off the trip between Cornwall and Newburgh to its north with Highland Falls and West Point to its south. It remains in use by commuters, though a bypass, now part of US 9W, was built, further shortening travel times while still offering panoramic views.

Storm King State Park is a 1,972-acre (7.98 km2) state park in Orange County, New York. The park is in the southeast part of the Town of Cornwall, next to the Hudson River. A central feature of the park is Storm King Mountain.

West Point Cemetery is a historic cemetery in the eastern United States, on the grounds of the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York. It overlooks the Hudson River, and served as a burial ground for Revolutionary War soldiers and early West Point inhabitants long before 1817, when it was officially designated as a military cemetery. Northwest of the cadet area, it was known as "German Flats" before its formal designation as the official cemetery in 1817. Until that time several small burial plots scattered in mid-post also served as places of interment. The graves from these plots and the remains subsequently found during building excavations were removed to the new site. An improved road to the cemetery was constructed in 1840, and the caretaker's cottage was erected in 1872. The cemetery is home to several monuments, including the Dade Monument, Cadet Monument, Custer Monument, Wood's Monument, and Margaret Corbin Monument.

The Old Cadet Chapel at the United States Military Academy is a church and location of funeral and memorial services. It is the oldest chapel at West Point, having originally been built in 1836. The chapel was originally located in the cadet area near present-day Bartlett Hall, but was disassembled brick-by-brick and moved to the West Point Cemetery when the current Cadet Chapel opened in 1910. Lutheran services are held at the old chapel on Sunday mornings during the school year. There are marble plaques on the walls commemorating the generals of the American Revolution. Benedict Arnold's plaque contains only the inscription "Major General — Born 1740", his name omitted due to his treason.

Margaret Corbin Monument is a monument and United States Military Academy Cemetery, in honor of Margaret Corbin (November 12, 1751 – January 16, 1800), a heroine of the American Revolution. She died in Highland Falls, New York and was buried near the Hudson River. In 1926, remains believed to be hers were disinterred and reburied near the entrance to the West Point Cemetery by the Daughters of the American Revolution. However, a 2017 study revealed that these were instead the remains of an unknown man; the location of Corbin's remains is unknown.

Philip De Witt Ginder (September 19, 1905 – November 7, 1968) was a career soldier in the United States Army. A highly decorated combat veteran, he rose to the rank of major general during the Korean War, while commanding 45th Infantry Division. He was a recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross, the United States' second-highest military award.

Joseph Barr Kiddoo (March 31, 1837 – August 19, 1880) was a Union Army general in the American Civil War and assistant commissioner of the Freedmen's Bureau in Texas in 1866 and 1867.

The Cadet Monument is a monument at the United States Military Academy Cemetery, originally dedicated in honor of cadet Vincent M. Lowe, who died as a result of a premature cannon discharge in 1817. The names of cadets and professors who died while at the academy during its earliest days are inscribed upon the monument. The monument is located in the far northeastern corner of the cemetery.

Dade Monument is a monument and United States Military Academy Cemetery, in honor of Major Francis L. Dade and his command of 110 men who were defeated by Seminole warriors at Dade Massacre on 28 December, 1835. The monument has moved several times in its history. First erected in 1845, it originally stood overlooking the Hudson River on the east edge of the Plain. It was moved further inland prior to 1898 to make way for the construction of Cullum Hall. In 1917 it was moved further south in front of the Old Cadet Library. In 1948, it was relocated to its current location near the entrance to the West Point Cemetery to make way for the Patton Monument.

The Chapel of the Most Holy Trinity at the United States Military Academy is a Catholic church and place of worship for many members of the United States Military Academy Corps of Cadets. Completed in 1900, it is the oldest chapel on the West Point campus in continual use, although the 1836 Old Cadet Chapel, moved in 1910 to West Point Cemetery, is still in use for funeral services and weekly Lutheran denominational services. Most Holy Trinity Chapel was expanded in 1959.
