The University of North Florida (UNF) is a public research university in Jacksonville, Florida. It is part of the State University System of Florida and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. Its campus comprises 1,300 acres amid a natural preserve on Jacksonville's Southside. It is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity".UNF was established in 1965 and began offering classes in 1972. UNF was initially designated an upper division college for juniors and seniors. It began admitting freshmen in 1984. UNF is organized into six colleges, five of which offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs, including doctoral degree programs, with noted business, coastal biology, nursing, nutrition, and music programs. Most students reside off campus, though there are six areas of on-campus housing. In 2006, the Social Sciences building became the first facility to be LEED-certified in northeast Florida, as well as the first "green" building on campus. As of 2010, five buildings on campus have been certified by the U.S. Green Building Council. The university has over 200 clubs and organizations for students as well as an active student government and Greek life. The student-run newspaper The Spinnaker is published monthly. The university's intercollegiate athletics teams are known as the Ospreys, and are members of the ASUN Conference in NCAA Division I.

The Coggin College of Business is the business school of the University of North Florida, a public research university in Jacksonville, Florida. About 2,850 students are enrolled in the college, including undergraduate and graduate students. It is one of UNF's three original colleges. Two of the college's programs, the international business program and the transportation and logistics program, are designated as flagship programs at UNF. Coggin is accredited by the AACSB. It was named the Coggin College of Business in 2002 honoring Luther and Blanch Coggin, after a $5 million gift. The college has over 13,500 alumni.

UNF Arena is a multi-purpose arena located on the campus of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. It is home to the North Florida Ospreys men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball teams. It is also used for other events, such as concerts and graduation ceremonies, and has served as the site of the Orlando Magic franchise's training camp. It opened in 1993 and has a capacity of up to 6,300. In 2004 the Arena was used by the U.S. Men's and Women's Olympic teams. On September 2, 2008, the University announced plans for UNF Varsity Village. Upgrades will be on the existing locker rooms, athletics offices, scoreboard, and seating. Planned additions will include a video room, academic support area, and a hall of fame/recruiting lounge. On March 8, 2015, the UNF Arena attendance record was set as 6,155 fans watched North Florida defeat USC Upstate in the 2015 Atlantic Sun men's basketball tournament championship game. In the first round of the 2016 National Invitation Tournament, 6,011 fans saw the Ospreys fall to Florida, 97–68.

Dusty Rhodes Field at Harmon Stadium, generally known as Harmon Stadium, is the baseball stadium at the University of North Florida (UNF), and the home field of the North Florida Ospreys baseball team. It is located on the university's campus in Jacksonville, Florida, near the softball complex and aquatic center. It opened in 1988 and has a seating capacity of 1,250. The stadium is named for Doug and Linda Harmon for their contributions to constructions costs, while the field is named after UNF's first baseball coach, Dusty Rhodes.

Hodges Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium at the University of North Florida (UNF), and the home field for the North Florida Ospreys soccer, track and field, and cross country teams. It is located on the university's campus in Jacksonville, Florida, U.S. It is named for George and Kernan Hodges, who donated $2 million to upgrade the facility in 2006.The 12,000-capacity stadium opened in 2004 with s capacity of 9,400 and underwent renovations in 2006 and 2008 that installed additional seating, a press box, and a 9-lane Olympic quality running track. The facility additionally includes classrooms, offices, and the Browning Athletic Training and Education Center. Following the completion of the current track, it became one of seven facilities in the U.S. certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), allowing it to host all NCAA and IAAF events within its grounds. In addition to its use by UNF the stadium has become a center for rugby league football, serving as home field for the Jacksonville Axemen of the USA Rugby League (USARL), and hosting several international matches and training camps.

The Hayt Golf Learning Center, also known as the "Golfplex" is the golf facility on the University of North Florida campus. It is a public course and the practice facility for the North Florida Ospreys golf team.

The Alhambra Theatre & Dining in Jacksonville, Florida, is the oldest continuously-running professional dinner theater in the United States, and the only professional resident theatre in Northeast Florida.

The St. Johns Town Center is an upscale super-regional open-air mall in southeast Jacksonville, Florida. It opened its doors on March 18, 2005 with over 167 stores, many of which were new to the Jacksonville market at the time. The 51.2-acre (0.207 km2) mall is located at the intersection of J. Turner Butler Boulevard and the Interstate 295 East Beltway, with the University of North Florida's campus situated across I-295 from the center. Key tenants include Anthropologie, Apple, Nordstrom, Dillard's, Lucky Brand Jeans, Urban Outfitters, Dick's Sporting Goods, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Maggiano's Little Italy, The Cheesecake Factory, Target Corporation, and Barnes & Noble.

The Palm and Cycad Arboretum at the Florida State College at Jacksonville is located on the south campus at 11901 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida, United States. This is an outdoor area next to the G building, a large three-story complex in the middle of campus that houses the library and other facilities. There is also a biologically diverse area of larger trees and mid-growth brush in an immediate westerly direction to this area. As the Arboretum is an open area, there are no specific set hours, and its use is free and available to all students and visitors.

Coral Ridge Baptist University (CRBU) was a Bible college and seminary in Florida. It merged with Freedom University and Seminary in 2001.

Sandalwood High School is a comprehensive public high school in Jacksonville, Florida. The school is one of 47 high schools in the Duval County School District. Like all Duval County schools, it is accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It currently has the largest school population in the district.

WJXT (channel 4) is an independent television station in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. It is owned by Graham Media Group alongside CW affiliate WCWJ (channel 17). Both stations share studios at 4 Broadcast Place on the south bank of the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, while WJXT's transmitter is located on Anders Boulevard in the city's Killarney Shores section.
