Seskinore

Strabane District Council (Irish: Comhairle Ceantair an tSratha Báin; Ulster-Scots: Stràbane Destrìck Cooncil) was a local council in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland established by the Local Government Act (Northern Ireland) 1972. It merged with Derry City Council on 1 April 2015 under local government reorganisation in Northern Ireland to become Derry and Strabane District Council. The headquarters of the council was in the town of Strabane. Apart from Strabane the other smaller towns in the area included Plumbridge, Newtownstewart, Donemana, Sion Mills and Castlederg. Also included in the Strabane District Council area were the following rural areas: Glenmornan, Evish, Glebe, Artigarvan, and Ballymagorry. The Strabane District Council area consisted of three electoral areas, Derg, Glenelly and Mourne, from which 16 members were elected. At the final elections in 2011 members were elected from the following political parties: 8 Sinn Féin, 4 Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), 1 Social Democratic and Labour Party (SDLP), 1 Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) and 2 Independent Nationalist.

Moylagh (from Irish Maolach) is a townland near Gortaclare village in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. In the 2001 census, it had a population of 66 people (along with Gortaclare). It lies within the Omagh District Council area.

Gortaclare (from Irish Gort a' Chláir) is a small village and townland in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. In the 2021 census, it had a population of 76 people (along with Moylagh townland). It lies within the Omagh District Council area.

In the Ballygawley land mine attack of 13 July 1983, four soldiers of the British Army's Ulster Defence Regiment (UDR) were killed by a Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) land mine near Ballygawley in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The soldiers were travelling in a convoy of armoured vehicles when the land mine was detonated remotely.

In the Altnaveigh landmine attack of 19 May 1981, five British soldiers were killed and their armoured vehicle destroyed by a Provisional IRA landmine at Altnaveigh, a rural area outside Newry in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. The landmine was detonated remotely when the vehicle passed over it. The attack happened during a period of heightened tension over the 1981 Irish hunger strike.

Tattyreagh St Patrick's is a GAA club based in the townland of Tattyreagh (from the Irish: An Táite Riabhach meaning the striped/tabby field), about halfway between Omagh and Fintona in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

Fermanagh and South Tyrone is a constituency in the Northern Ireland Assembly. It was first used for a Northern Ireland-only election in 1973, which elected the then Northern Ireland Assembly. It usually shares boundaries with the Fermanagh and South Tyrone UK Parliament constituency. However, the boundaries of the two constituencies were slightly different from 1983 to 1986 (because the Assembly boundaries had not caught up with Parliamentary boundary changes) and from 1996 to 1997, when members of the Northern Ireland Forum had been elected from the newly drawn Parliamentary constituencies but the 51st Parliament of the United Kingdom, elected in 1992 under the 1983–95 constituency boundaries, was still in session. Members were then elected from the constituency to the 1975 Constitutional Convention, the 1982 Assembly, the 1996 Forum and then to the current Assembly from 1998. Fermanagh and South Tyrone is a Northern Ireland parliamentary constituency in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom. It has been represented by Pat Cullen of Sinn Féin since the 2024 general election. The same area is also the Northern Ireland Assembly constituency of Fermanagh and South Tyrone.

Eskra (from Irish Eiscreach) is a small village and townland in southwest County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is on the Omagh to Clogher road, about 10 miles from Omagh and about 4 miles from Clogher.

Eskra Emmetts is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the hamlet of Eskra in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It also takes in the Hamlet of Newtownsaville. Eskra Emmetts won the Tyrone Intermediate Championship for the first time on 20 October 2013. In 2014 they played senior football for the first time in their history. The club was founded in 1929 (GAA activities had taken place in the area since 1924), and participated intermittently until 1978 when it was reformed on a more stable basis. It has been a constant in the area since then.

Tattyreagh (from Irish: An Táite Riabhach meaning "the striped/tabby field") is a small townland near Seskinore in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, and is situated within Omagh District Council area. Tattyreagh townland is approximately 258 acres (0.4 mi2) in area. Over the past 10 years, rapid growth has emerged in this small rural community with new private housing. It consists of mainly residential houses and farms, one Catholic primary school (Sacred Heart PS), Tattyreagh St. Patrick's Gaelic Athletic Association club, Darcy Park, and a public house. Cutting through the area is one main road leading from Omagh to Fintona.

Drumragh is a civil parish and townland in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, on the right bank of the River Drumragh. Today, it is within the county town of Omagh. It has a Roman Catholic church; and a Church of Ireland one.
