Mexico station

Mexico is a village located in the town of the same name in Oswego County, New York, United States. The population was 1,624 at the 2010 census. The village is located along New York State routes 3, 69, and 104.

The district includes three contributing structures; the farmhouse, a barn, and a milkhouse; and three hand-dug wells. The farmhouse is a three bay, two story cobblestone building built in 1848 in the Greek Revival style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Phineas Davis Farmstead is a historic farm complex and national historic district located in the village of Mexico in Oswego County, New York. The district features an Italianate farmhouse built in 1874. Also on the property is a historic henhouse and three stone hitching posts.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

The residence was built about 1869 and is composed of a 2+1⁄2-story, three-bay main block with a 2-story, two-bay recessed wing. The property was sold to the American Legion in 1964.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Mexico High School is a historic school building located in Mexico, Oswego County, New York. It is part of the Mexico Central School District. It was built in 1938 after a previous 1927 building was damaged by fire in 1937. It is a two-story, Georgian Revival style brick building in a U-shaped plan. It features a distinctive tower that contains an 1828 bell from an earlier building. The entry is distinguished by a two-story, five-bay portico supported by six Ionic columns and crowned by a Chippendale patterned balustrade.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Mexico Academy and Central School in 1991.

Starr Clark Tin Shop is a historic commercial building located at Mexico in Oswego County, New York. It is a two-story wood-framed vernacular building built about 1827 with Federal details. The tin shop measures 24 feet 4 inches (7.42 m) wide and 32 feet (9.8 m) deep, with a 24-foot-4-inch-wide by 25-foot-8-inch-deep (7.42 m by 7.82 m) rear wing. Its owner, Starr Clark, was a widely recognized abolitionist and supporter of the Underground Railroad.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.The Mexico Historical Society has restored the shop and operates it as a museum that highlights its use as a working tin shop and as an hub for the abolition movement.

Beck's Hotel (1897) is the largest building in the district.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
