African Lion Safari is a family-owned safari park in Southern Ontario, Canada, straddling the cities of Hamilton and Cambridge, located 100 kilometres (62 mi) west of Toronto. Guests may tour seven game reserves, with a total area of about 740 acres (300 hectares), on tour buses or in visitors' own vehicles, where animals roam freely in contained areas. Accompanying the game reserves is a walking section where exotic birds and primates, as well as the park's herd of Asian elephants, are on display. African Lion Safari is an accredited member of the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums, and is also a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA), the International Elephant Foundation (IEF) as well as the International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators (IAATE).

Beverley Township was a township established in 1792 in Home District in the then Upper Canada, today Ontario, Canada. It was named for the town of Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, by John Graves Simcoe.The township became part of Halton County when that county was created as part of Gore District in 1816. The township was also known as Beverly Township when it was transferred to Wentworth County in 1853. When the Regional Municipality of Hamilton–Wentworth was created in 1974, most of Beverley Township was absorbed by Flamborough, Ontario. The area is now part of the city of Hamilton.

The Westfield Heritage Village is a heritage centre located just west of Rockton, Ontario, Canada. The village contains over 30 historic buildings on a 3.4-square-kilometre (840-acre) site. It is operated by the Hamilton Conservation Authority.

Valens is a community in Ontario in the city of Hamilton. It is the location of the Valens Conservation Area, which is built around the Valens Reservoir. It is located about 35 km from downtown Hamilton. It can be reached by travelling north on highway 6 and then west on highway 97. Valens Lake is a water reservoir managed by the Hamilton Conservation Authority and offers facilities for camping, hiking, swimming, boating and fishing. It used to be stocked with fish but now has a sustained natural fish population that has among others, carp, catfish, small and largemouth bass, pike, perch, an assorted varieties of pan fish, and the odd turtles. A dam controls water flow from the basin. The water level may fluctuate throughout the year.

St. George is a small village located in and part of the municipality of County of Brant, between Cambridge and Brantford, in Southern Ontario, Canada. It had a population of 3,354 according to the 2021 Census.The Apples Harvest Festival takes place during the third weekend in September and the town holds a Kinsmen Club of Brantford service club. St. George is home to the St. George Ravens Jr. A Hockey Club. The team competes in the GMHL South Division. The Ravens were relocated to St George from Burlington, Ontario, in 2016. The Ravens play out of South Dumfries Community Center.St. George is known for its numerous antique stores on Main Street. The municipal offices of the former Township of South Dumfries, an old Victorian mansion known as Sunnyside, have been the home of current County of Brant mayor David Bailey, since 2000.

Monsignor Doyle Catholic Secondary School is a public, Catholic High School in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada which opened in 1976 as a junior high school, and is the second smallest Catholic secondary school of the Waterloo Catholic District School Board. In the mid-1980s, Catholic education received full funding and all the Catholic junior high schools in Waterloo Region converted to high schools teaching grades 9 - 12 and OAC. The school bears its name after Monsignor E.A. Doyle, who was a much beloved and well-respected pastor of Cambridge. Much of his tenure was at St. Patrick Parish as a Catholic leader in the community. He was a man of religious commitment and in recognition of his many educational contributions, the school was named in his honour. School teams are known as the "Doyle" Mustangs and are known for their exceptional performance in Badminton, Wrestling, Track & Field, Soccer, and Volleyball. The school has received public attention several times over the years due to an Anti-Bullying initiative run by the school's leadership program which saw the school participate in Family Channels Stand Up Wave. CTV also arrived for the banning, and subsequent unbanning of girl's shorts in early fall 2009, caused by female students rolling up and hemming the shorts. In mid-2007 the school saw a lockdown which lasted 2 hours. It is home to a generally large European and Newfoundlander population, and is one of the two Catholic High Schools in Cambridge, drawing students from most of South Galt. In 2006, the school received an addition to the back of the school, adding fourteen classrooms and a second story, which removed the 12 portables that previously littered the area. The school's student council has worked towards pushing for a uniform-free week, as well as a second semi-formal, believing it to improve school spirit. Monsignor Doyle is a member of the eight team District 8 Athletic Association

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is a conservation authority in Ontario, Canada. It operates under the Conservation Authorities Act of Ontario. It is a corporate body, through which municipalities, landowners and other organizations work cooperatively to manage the Grand River watershed and natural resources within it. Created in 1932 as the Grand River Conservation Commission, the GRCA is the oldest water management agency in Canada. It is one of 36 conservation authorities in Ontario and is a member of Conservation Ontario. The GRCA also owns and manages many conservation areas, parks and trails within the watershed.

Glenview Park Secondary School is a high school in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, for students in South Galt. The school was opened in 1957. It is also one of the two International Baccalaureate (IB) Schools in Waterloo Region.

Lynden is part of Flamborough, which is itself part of the city of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Lynden now has fewer than 500 residents. There used to be a train station in Lynden that went to Hamilton and Lynden provided goods to that city. The Galt Arena Gardens is one of the oldest continuously-operating ice hockey arenas in the world and the oldest operating arena in Ontario. Galt Arena Gardens was built throughout 1921 and opened in January 1922. It was located in the city of Galt, which is now a part of the city of Cambridge, Ontario. It is the home of the junior hockey team, Cambridge Redhawks as well as the Special Hockey International team, Cambridge Ice Hounds. The arena is noted for its impressive external facade. Hockey legend Gordie Howe played a season in the arena for the Galt Red Wings before playing in the National Hockey League. Former New York Americans centreman Norman Himes grew up right across the street from the arena at 91 Shade Street. He played OHA senior hockey in the arena for the Galt Terriers. Ontario Hockey Association teams including the Galt Rockets and Galt Black Hawks also played at the building. Several ice hockey arenas are older, including the Aberdeen Pavilion in Ottawa, built in 1898, and the Stannus Street Rink, of Windsor, Nova Scotia, built in 1897, but are no longer in operation for ice hockey. The 1910 Matthews Arena in Boston is still in operation, but it closed for several seasons due to fires and for renovations.The arena was most recently renovated in 1997, replacing the concrete floor, the spectator seating and the dressing rooms. The renovation reduced seating capacity from 2,000 to 1,100.
