Amity University, Kolkata is a private university in Kolkata in the state of West Bengal, India. It was founded in 2015 and is the eighth, university to be established by the Amity Education Group. The Amity Group was established in Kolkata in 2009 with Amity Global Business School (Salt Lake, Sector V), which offered management degrees under Amity University. In 2015, the state legislature of West Bengal passed the Amity University Act, 2014 (West Bengal Act, XXIV of 2014)

Biswa Bangla Convention Centre is a convention centre in New Town, West Bengal, India. It was built by West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO) and opened in the year 2017. It was built to attract meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) tourism in the city.

Vivek Tirtha (in English: Vivek Pilgrimage) or Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centre for Human Excellence and Social Sciences is an upcoming cultural and education centre dedicated to Swami Vivekananda in New Town, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee laid the foundation stone of Vivek Tirtha on 11 November 2014. It is being built with an aim to help people to live a life of peace and happiness.

Sister Nivedita University is a private university located in New Town, Kolkata. It was established by the Sister Nivedita University Act, 2017. It is named after Sister Nivedita, a disciple of Swami Vivekananda.

Biswa Bangla Gate (also known as Kolkata Gate) is an arch-monument in the city of New Town, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is built by Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO) on the Biswa Bangla Sarani at Narkelbagan, Action Area - I of New Town, Kolkata metropolitan area. It also houses a restaurant. The visitors' gallery and restaurant are surrounded by glass, which will be part of the wall. From here, one can see various parts of New Town.

Eco Park (or Prakriti Tirtha) is an urban park in New Town, Greater Kolkata, India. The park is situated on a 480 acres (190 ha) plot and is surrounded by a 104 acres (42 ha) waterbody with an island in the middle. The park was conceptualised by Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee in July 2011. West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO) is the overarching body coordinating the construction of the park, along with different other government bodies responsible for implementation of different works inside the park.The park has been divided into three broad parts; 1) ecological zones like wetlands, grasslands, and urban forest, 2) theme gardens and open spaces, 3) and urban recreational spaces. The Eco Park is further divided into different sub-parts according to the different types of fauna planted. The copies of the Seven Wonders of the World have also been made for people to visit in this park. According to the plan, the park will have different areas like wild flower meadows, a bamboo garden, grasslands, tropical tree garden, bonsai garden*, tea garden, Cactus Walk*, a heliconia garden*, a butterfly garden, a play area and an amphitheatre(*-yet to be added). Further, there is plan to develop an eco-resort in public-private partnership, and will also include an area where handicrafts from different part of the state will be exhibited. The park was inaugurated on 29 December 2012 by Mamata Banerjee. Etc.
