Cortlandville is a town in Cortland County, New York, United States. The population was 8,509 at the 2010 census.Cortlandville surrounds the city of Cortland and is at the western border of the county.

Cortland station is a defunct Lehigh Valley Railroad station in Cortland, New York. It was located on the Lehigh Valley's Elmira and Cortland Branch. The station building still stands; the tracks are owned by the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway. Cortland was one of two depots; the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad (Lackawanna) depot was located on Railroad Street in the center of the city.

The Cortland Enlarged City School District is a public school district in Cortland, New York. The district consists of 6 schools and with a total enrollment of approximately 2,800 students. The Cortland City District includes the city of Cortland, the town of Virgil, and part of the town of Cortlandville. The school board consists of 7 members.

The Cortland Rural Cemetery is located in Cortland, New York, United States. A non-profit, non-denominational cemetery established in 1853, the still operational cemetery has a physical footprint of approximately 44 acres (18 ha) and features the attributes typical of the mid-19th century garden cemetery or rural cemetery, including rolling hills, copious trees, curving roads, and an overall asymmetrical design. The cemetery is regulated by the New York State Department of State NYS Division of Cemeteries and as such has the special designation of 501(c)(13) reserved by independent, non-profit cemeteries in New York. It is managed by a volunteer Board of Trustees and funds its operations with a combination of revenues from operations such as burial fees, plot sales income, and marker foundation installation fees, ongoing donations from Cortland Rural Cemetery Foundation, and donations received from individual donors, other foundations, and in-kind assistance from the City of Cortland. Adjacent to the State University of New York at Cortland, located at 110 Tompkins Street, and an included in the Tompkins Street–Main Street Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places, the cemetery has over 19,000 individual graves on its grounds, including those of many notable figures in Cortland's history. The cemetery's grounds also include noteworthy historical architectural structures, including the Gibson Memorial Chapel designed (circa 1922) by noted architect George W. Conable and an office/garage and superintendent's mansion designed by Carl Wesley Clark (circa 1928). The cemetery has dedicated Veterans sections and is also home to a decades-old Jewish Cemetery associated with Cortland's Temple Brith Sholom.

The 1890 House Museum is a historic house located on Tompkins Street in Cortland, New York. It was built in 1890 for industrialist Chester F. Wickwire (1843–1910), and was designed by architect Samuel B. Reed. The beautiful mosaic stained glass windows throughout the home were created by Henry F. Belcher. Chester Wickwire lived in the home from 1890 until his death in 1910. He made his fortune by founding and managing the Wickwire Brothers Company in Cortland, NY, which produced wire products such as horse muzzles, seed spreaders, insect screens, and similar products for rural Americans.In 1974, the 1890 House Museum formed a part of the Tompkins Street District's listing on the National Register of Historic Places, and in 1975, the 1890 House became a museum after campaigning from Cortland County leaders.

Tompkins Street–Main Street Historic District, formerly known as Tompkins Street Historic District, is a historic district in Cortland, New York. It encompasses 109 contributing buildings and one contributing site in the central business district of Cortland and the surrounding residential areas. It includes about 60 commercial buildings built between 1860 and 1910, public buildings such as the separately listed U.S. Post Office, and the Cortland Rural Cemetery. Residences date as early as the 1830s and include mansions from the 1890-1916 period. Most residences are 2+1⁄2 stories and of frame construction.Under the Tompkins Street name, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. Its boundaries were increased to include Main Street from Tompkins to Clinton Streets in 1982.

US Post Office-Cortland is a historic post office building located at Cortland in Cortland County, New York. It was built in 1913-1915 and enlarged in 1940–1941. It is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, Oscar Wenderoth. It is a one-story building with a brick foundation clad in granite with facades clad in coursed ashlar limestone in the Neoclassical style. The lobby features a wood relief by Ryah Ludins in 1942-1943 titled "Valley of the Seven Hills." It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Cortland Fire Headquarters is a historic fire station located at Cortland in Cortland County, New York. It is a three-story, predominantly rectangular structure, consisting of stepped gables, square bell tower, yellow faced brick, and tiled roof, built in 1914. The first floor houses fire apparatus, the second serves as quarters for firefighters, and the third is a meeting hall and training area, as well as the home for the special operations division.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Cortland County Courthouse is a historic courthouse located at Cortland in Cortland County, New York. It was built in 1924 and is a three-story building in the shape of a Latin cross built of Indiana limestone. It is located within a three-acre park. It features a distinctive cupola and corresponding rotunda, which rests on an octagonal base, above which are 24 Corinthian columns. It was designed by James Riely Gordon in the Beaux Arts style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

First Presbyterian Church Complex, also known as United Presbyterian Church, is a historic Presbyterian church located at Cortland in Cortland County, New York. It was built in 1889-1890 and is a solid massed masonry building consisting of a central hip-roofed main block fronted by steeply pitched gable projections. Major additions to the original church were completed in 1922 and 1958. The church features a stout, multi stage bell tower with a tall steeple and prominent cross on the spire. Also on the property is a Queen Anne style manse completed in 1903.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

It is constructed of brick in the Georgian Revival style and built in 1928.
