Slottsparken, Malmö

Kungsparken is a park in Malmö, Sweden. It is located in the centre of the city just west of the Malmö City Hall and Malmö District Court and surrounds Malmöhus Castle. Up until 1881 it was known as Slottsparken. Because of this and their close proximity, it is sometimes confused with the nearby Slottsparken on maps, which was established in 1897.

Malmö Museum is a municipal and regional museum in Malmö, Sweden. The museum shows exhibitions on technology, shipping, natural history and history. Malmö museum also has an aquarium. The exhibitions are primarily shown on Castle Island (Slottsholmen) and in the Technology & Maritime Museum (Teknikens och sjöfartens hus). On Castle Island, Malmö Castle is part of the museum and Malmö Art Museum is also located there. Malmö Museum is also a Science Center. Science Center Malmö includes the exhibitions Planet of Ideas, Vehicles of the Future, Muscles and Engines, Heaven and Earth, City of Time, Smart and Our Nature. Malmö Museum is also responsible for archaeological and marine archaeological finds in Malmö on behalf of the county administrative board, and has a municipal mandate for cultural heritage protection. In 2002, the museum was awarded Museum of the Year by the Swedish Museums Association. Biljana Topalova-Casadiego has been the director of Malmö Museum since 2021. On 22 April 2023, the Wisdome 360° Dome Cinema, donated by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation and others, was inaugurated in the partially rebuilt Technology & Maritime Museum. The theater and its surrounding spaces are part of a chain of similar facilities around Sweden, showing specially made films on the themes of space and scientific research and collaborating with various universities. Malmö Museum had 633,152 visitors in 2023, the fourth highest in the country, and is now Sweden's largest museum outside Stockholm.

Malmöhus is a neighbourhood of Malmö, situated in the Borough of Centrum, Malmö Municipality, Scania County (formerly Malmöhus County), Sweden.

Malmö Castle (Swedish: Malmöhus, Danish: Malmøhus) is a fortress located in Malmö, Scania, Sweden. It is owned by the Swedish state and is managed by the State Property Agency. Malmöhus is part of Malmö Museums.

Malmö Borgarskola is a Swedish gymnasium (upper secondary school) located in Malmö, Sweden. The school was founded in 1874 and has a long tradition as an educational institute. The school is renowned for its International Baccalaureate programme, which consistently produces high achieving students. In addition, the students and the faculty have also won several national and international prizes and awards.The school also has strong ties abroad. It hosts official education advising centres for students who are interested in studying in the USA (EducationUSA) and in the UK (EducationUK). Jack Straw visited the school when he was the Foreign Secretary for the United Kingdom.The school offers several programmes, including: Natural Sciences Programme International Natural Sciences Programme Business and Management Programme Social Science Programme Hotel and Tourism Business and Administration International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (in Hospitality Administration)The school is also home to a wide variety of student associations. MBIF, Malmö Borgarskola Sports Association, is one of the oldest sports associations in Sweden. Other associations includes MBEF, Malmö Borgarskola Aesthetics Association, and MBMF, Malmö Borgarskola Mathematics Association. There is also some friendly rivalry going on between Malmö Borgarskola and the nearby Sankt Petri school.

Simhallsbadet is a swimming complex in Malmö city, Sweden owned by the Malmö Municipality. It was known as Aq-va-kul 1988–2015. Today it is mainly used by swimming clubs and schools.

Malmö City Library (Swedish: Malmö stadsbibliotek) is a municipal public library in Malmö, Sweden, which opened on 12 December 1905. It has 550,000 different media, about 10,000 DVDs and 33,500 music CDs. In 2006, it became the first library in Sweden to lend video games.

The Scania and Blekinge Court of Appeal (Swedish: Hovrätten över Skåne och Blekinge) is one of the six appellate courts in the Swedish legal system.

The Church of Our Saviour (Swedish: Vår Frälsares katolska församling) (which means "Catholic Parish of Our Savior") is the name given to a religious building belonging to the Catholic Church and is located in the center of the city of Malmö in the province of Skåne in Sweden. It belongs to the Catholic Diocese of Stockholm (Stockholms Katolska Stif). The congregation was founded in 1870 and its first vicar was Bernhard zu Stolberg. Between 1872 and 1960 there was a parish church, where the Raoul Wallenberg park is now located at the corner of Gustav Adolf Square. It was first called Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, but because the name was perceived as a "Catholic provocation" the name was changed to "our Saviour." The church became too small, so a new one was built in Hästhagen. The new church, which was designed by Hans Westman, was inaugurated on April 9, 1960, by the Rev. Bernhard Koch. The old church at the other location was demolished the same year.

Hästhagen is a neighbourhood of Malmö, situated in the Borough of Västra Innerstaden, Malmö Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden.

Kronprinsen (Swedish: The Crown Prince) is a neighbourhood and complex of modernist buildings including a landmark high-rise tower located in Malmö, Sweden in the city district of Västra Innerstaden ("The Western Inner-City"). The high-rise tower itself is commonly referred to as Kronprinsen. The complex includes several large apartment blocks, a clinic, a tennis hall, a large parking garage, the tower, and its shopping center with about 40 shops and service providers. The tower is 82 meters high (excluding antennae), has 27 floors, and its façade is covered with blue tiles. The building's architects were Thorsten Roos and Kurt Hultin. It is a residential building with a large shopping mall on the ground floor and a luxury restaurant called Översten ("The Colonel", lit: "The One on Top") on the 26th floor. The restaurant has a view over Malmö and the Öresund strait towards Copenhagen. Kronprinsen is located at the crossing of two major streets in Malmö; Mariedalsvägen and Regementsgatan. On the other side of Regementsgatan is the park, Slottsparken. The complex is called Kronprinsen because there were barracks of the royal regiment at its location. Kronprinsen was the first high-rise in Sweden upon completion in 1964. It was also the tallest building in Malmö for just over four decades before the Turning Torso was completed in August 2005.

Malmö Live is an event centre in Malmö, Sweden. It opened in August 2015, containing a concert hall, conference facilities, a hotel, offices, and housing. Malmö Live Concert Hall is the home of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra and can fit up to 1,600 people. The hotel and conference center Clarion Hotel & Congress Malmö Live has 25 floors with a height of 85 meters which makes it the tallest building of Malmö Live, 24 conference rooms, a congress hall for up to 1,500 participants and a skybar. There are several other buildings around the area, holding offices and housings. Due to the appearance of several tall buildings, the area is sometimes also known as "Malmhattan". The current director of Malmö Live is Maria Frej since February 2020. Malmö Live is hosting: symphony orchestras, commercial, cultural and political events as well as meetings.
