Owego is a town in Tioga County, New York, United States. The population was 18,728 at the 2020 census. The name is derived from the Iroquois word Ahwaga, meaning "where the valley widens". Owego is in the southeastern corner of the county, west of Binghamton. The village of Owego is in the western part of the town.

St. Paul's Church is a historic Episcopal church located at Owego in Tioga County, New York. It is a High Victorian Gothic style structure built of rough cut bluestone trimmed with orange brick and terra cotta. The church is composed of a small entry vestibule, the gabled main block housing the nave and chancel, a shallow transept lying opposite a semicircular Lady Chapel, a tower, and an arcaded porch and a sacristy. It was designed by architect William Halsey Wood (1855–1897) and was built in 1893–1894.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Tioga County Courthouse is a historic courthouse located at Owego in Tioga County, New York. It was built in 1871–72 and is a rectangular two-story building with 4 three-story towers, one on each corner. It is constructed of smooth, hard-burned brick of a red-pink color with decorative limestone features.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

US Post Office-Owego is a historic post office building located at Owego in Tioga County, New York. It was designed in 1917 and built in 1919-1920 and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect under James A. Wetmore. It is a symmetrical one story, red brick clad building on a raised foundation executed in the Colonial Revival style. It is a contributing structure in the Owego Central Historic District.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Owego Central Historic District is a historic district in Owego in Tioga County, New York. It encompasses 83 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site, and 1 contributing structure. The district is primarily commercial, with some notable civic and institutional buildings. Notable buildings include the former Owego Academy (1828), County Clerk's Office, Owego Village Firehouse (1911), Owego National Bank (1913), Presbyterian Church, and the Greek Revival and Italianate style Riverow commercial complex. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and its boundaries were increased in 1998. The district includes Tioga County Courthouse and U.S. Post Office (Owego, New York), which are separately listed on the National Register.

Vesper Cliff ( also known as Tioga Terrace, Glenbetsy, and Robert C. John House) an architecturally distinguished Greek Revival-style residence located immediately outside of the Town of Owego in Tioga County, New York. The oldest part of the house was built in 1791 with an addition of "plank" construction which was added in 1834, a monumental temple-fronted addition designed by architect Alexander Jackson Davis. Also on the property is an unusual barn with a distinctive neoclassical facade treatment (barn has since collapsed), as well as a chicken coop and ice house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The James C. Beecher House is a historic house located at 560 5th Avenue in Owego, Tioga County, New York.

Shangri-La Speedway was a speedway in Owego, New York. It was a half-mile (0.8 km) oval race track facility. Over a span of fifty years, Shangri-La hosted automobile races of various kinds, AAA Championship Cars, stock cars, Modifieds, Supermodifieds, and supporting classes. Shangri-La's weekly racing was widely considered among the best in the sport during several different periods, including years when nine-time NASCAR National Modified Champion Richie Evans and six-time NASCAR National Modified Champion Jerry Cook were regulars. The facility also included an eighth-mile (0.2 km) drag strip and a tenth-mile oval track for microds (a type of wooden-bodied go-kart raced in many clubs in upstate New York). Its formal name was changed to Shangri-La Motor Speedway (in use from 1979 to 1991) and to Tioga Motorsports Park (in use from 1992 to 2005), but most racers and fans still referred to it as "Shangri-La". The speedway hosted one NASCAR Cup Series event in 1952 and the race was won by Tim Flock.
