Seton Catholic Central is a private Roman Catholic school located on the Westside of Binghamton, New York. It is run by the Catholic Schools of Broome County, which is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse. The school was ranked 14 out of 100 of the best Catholic schools in New York State by Niche in 2016.Both religious and laypeople compose Seton's full- and part-time staff, who are active in the extracurricular student life at Seton as coaches, advisers, and moderators. The School embraces interscholastic athletics as an experience that is an integral part of their overall academic mission. Sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, commitment, fitness, social interaction and healthy competition are the cornerstones of the athletic program. Every year, 80% of the student-body competes on at least one interscholastic athletic team. Seton offers 15 sports programs at the Varsity, J.V. and Modified levels. Teams have won 7 New York State Championships and 14 NYSPHSAA Regional Championships.

Gen. Edward F. Jones House is a historic home located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. It was constructed in 1872 and is a large 2+1⁄2-story, irregularly shaped building built of an eclectic combination of materials and textures. It was part of a large estate assembled by General Edward F. Jones (1828–1913) by 1883. The foundation and first floor are constructed of brick while the upper stories are of wood with shingle, beaded board, and clapboard siding. It is an exceptional example of the Queen Anne style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The George F. Johnson Recreation Park Carousel is a historic carousel located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. The carousel and its pavilion were built in 1925. The carousel is housed in a wooden, one story, 16-sided, pavilion topped by a cupola. The carousel has 60 horses standing four abreast, each of which is a "jumper," and two chariots. It was constructed by the Allan Herschell Company and contains its original Wurlitzer Military Band Organ. The carousel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.This carousel, the gazebo, and the entire Recreation Park served as inspiration for Binghamton native Rod Serling's classic Twilight Zone episode "Walking Distance". Serling is honored with a bronze plaque in the floor of the gazebo, as well as with paintings depicting memorable scenes from The Twilight Zone on the carousel.This is one of six carousels donated to the citizens of Broome County by George F. Recreation Park is a public, urban park in Binghamton, New York. Located in Binghamton's West Side, Recreation Park is bordered by Schubert Street to the North, and Laurel Avenue to the East, Seminary Avenue to the South, and Beethoven Street to the West. Shoe manufacturer George F. Johnson donated it to Binghamton, and it is home to one of Allan Herschell's six famous carousels. The park also contains a bandstand, statues and monuments, numerous athletic fields and courts, swimming facilities, a playground, and walking paths in a grove of mature oak trees.

Jonas M. Kilmer House, also known as the Kilmer Mansion, is a historic home located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. It was constructed in 1898 and is a large 3+1⁄2-story residence using an eclectic Victorian-era vocabulary. It is primarily constructed of stone and features irregular form and massing. The building is characterized by a variety of different sized gables and turrets, all surmounted by a high hipped roof clad in asbestos shingles. Jonas M. Kilmer (1843–1912) was the father of Willis Sharpe Kilmer (1869–1940).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

J. Stuart Wells House, now the Ernest H. Parsons Funeral Home, is a historic home located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York, USA. It was built in 1867-1870 and designed by the noted New York State architect Isaac G. Perry. It is a 2+1⁄2-story brick dwelling on a cut stone foundation and topped by a hipped, cross-gabled roof. It was expanded in the 1940s-1950s and features a wrap-around porch. Also on the property is a 2-story brick carriage house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

John T. Whitmore House is a historic home located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. It is a Queen Anne–style dwelling constructed in 1888. It is a 2+1⁄2-story frame residence with irregular massing and brick, half timber, and stucco and shingle exterior surfaces.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Robert H. Rose House, also known as Rose Mansion, was a historic home located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York, United States. It was demolished in 1980.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Binghamton High School, a combined high school of the previous Binghamton North High School and Binghamton Central High School, is a large public high school located in the center of Binghamton, New York. The school is culturally diverse, with 1600+ students from many different countries, religions, and income levels. The mascot for Binghamton High School is a Patriot named Patrick who wears a signature tri-cornered hat.

The Building at 171–177 Clinton Street, also known as Bruun and Co. and Afga Ansco, No. 99, is a historic commercial building located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. It is a two-story, two part brick commercial block built in 1920. The first floor is divided into four storefronts and the second floor contains the remnants of offices and apartments. The building was purchased in the 1940s by General Aniline & Film and housed a number of GAF offices and facilities.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Roberson Museum and Science Center is located in Binghamton, New York. The museum's exhibits focus on art, local history, science, and natural history.
