Burbank Western Channel

Burbank Town Center (formerly Media City Center) is a large shopping mall and complex that opened in August 1991 on Magnolia Boulevard in Burbank, California, with three levels of interior shopping anchored by Macy's, Burlington, Sears, and ROUND1 Bowling & Amusement, with an open-air shopping plaza anchored by Office Depot.

Womanhouse (January 30 – February 28, 1972) was a feminist art installation and performance space organized by Judy Chicago and Miriam Schapiro, co-founders of the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) Feminist Art Program and was the first public exhibition of Art centered upon female empowerment. Chicago, Schapiro, their students, and women artists from the local community, including Faith Wilding, participated. Chicago and Schapiro encouraged their students to use consciousness-raising techniques to generate the content of the exhibition. Together, the students and professors worked to build an environment where women's conventional social roles could be shown, exaggerated, and subverted.Only women were allowed to view the exhibition on its first day, after which the exhibition was open to all viewers. During the exhibition's duration, it received approximately 10,000 visitors.

Burbank High School is a public high school in Burbank, California. It was established in 1908 and opened on September 14, 1914, and its inaugural class had 334 students. It is a part of the Burbank Unified School District. The area had previously been served by the Glendale Union High School District. Burbank High began an extensive facility update in 2003, and its first phase of reconstruction was a building housing new classrooms for the entire school. By 2005, the campus also had a new gym, pool, visual and performing arts center, parking structure, athletic field, and tennis courts. In addition to a core curriculum that satisfies the University of California A-G requirements, Burbank High offers 17 Honors and Advanced Placement classes, a wide variety of visual arts classes, career technical classes and nationally recognized performing arts.

Downtown Burbank station is a passenger rail station near downtown Burbank, California. It is served by Metrolink's Antelope Valley Line to Lancaster and Ventura County Line to East Ventura with both terminating at Los Angeles Union Station. A limited number of Amtrak trains stop at this station; with all Amtrak trains stopping at the Burbank Airport–South station, several miles to the northwest of downtown Burbank. Megabus started providing long distance motorcoach service from the station on August 15, 2013, but it has since been discontinued.

PUC Schools is a charter school operator in Greater Los Angeles. It has its headquarters in Burbank. The charter school systems operates schools in northeast Los Angeles and the northeast San Fernando Valley.

The Golden Mall was a pedestrianized mall in downtown Burbank, California from 1967 to 1989. It consisted of San Fernando Boulevard from Tujunga Avenue to Magnolia Boulevard, immediately south of the present Burbank Town Center.

Wau Animation Studios is a Malaysian animation studio founded on 18 March 2013. It focuses on producing and developing original animated programmes for TV3 Malaysia, such as Ejen Ali. Its co-founder and CEO is Usamah Zaid Yasin after spending 7 years at Les' Copaque Production.

Cartoon Network Studios is an American animation studio owned by the Warner Bros. Television Studios division of Warner Bros. Entertainment, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery. The studio is the production arm of Cartoon Network, and started operating on October 21, 1994, as a division of Hanna-Barbera until the latter was absorbed into Warner Bros. Animation in 2001. Located in California, the studio primarily produces and develops animated programs and shorts for Cartoon Network and Cartoonito. Recently, the studio has also developed programs for Adult Swim, TBS, and HBO Max. The studio has also produced its sole theatrically released film, The Powerpuff Girls Movie, distributed by its sister company, Warner Bros. Pictures.

Downtown Burbank Post Office is a post office in Downtown Burbank, California, operated by the United States Postal Service (USPS). It was put on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) on January 11, 1985.Gilbert Stanley Underwood designed the building, which was built under the Works Progress Administration (WPA), began construction in 1937 and which had its dedication on April 30, 1938.In 2014 the Glenoaks Post Office in Burbank closed, with Downtown Burbank absorbing its functions.

Rancho La Providencia was a 4,064-acre (16.45 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Los Angeles County, California given by governor Juan B. Alvarado in 1843 to Vincente de la Osa. The majority of Rancho Providencia land north of the modern channel of the Los Angeles River is now part of Burbank. The street grid change along Burbank Boulevard marks the northwestern boundary of the rancho grant. The Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros. Studios, NBC Studios Burbank, Providence High School, and Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center are all within the former boundaries of Rancho Providencia. The Burbank Equestrian Center and portions of the Rancho south of the river are now part of the city of Los Angeles.

The broadcast network The CW is also headquartered in Burbank. The Hollywood Burbank Airport was the location of Lockheed's Skunk Works, which produced some of the most secret and technologically advanced airplanes, including the U-2 spy planes that uncovered Soviet Union missile components in Cuba in October 1962. In addition, the city contains the largest IKEA in the U.S.Burbank consists of two distinct areas: a downtown/foothill section, in the foothills of the Verdugo Mountains, and the flatland section. The city was referred to as "Beautiful Downtown Burbank" on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, as both shows were taped at NBC's former studios. The public pool at Verdugo Recreation Center is very noted.
