Broome County Courthouse

Court Street Historic District is a national historic district located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. The district includes 87 contributing buildings and encompasses the historic downtown core of downtown Binghamton. The majority of the contributing structures are commercial buildings built between about 1840 and 1939. Ten and twelve story office buildings built in the 20th century are prominent features of the district. Located within the boundaries of the district are the separately listed Broome County Courthouse and Binghamton City Hall.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Binghamton City Hall is a historic city hall located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. The building was designed by Ingle & Almirall in the Second Empire style. It is a five-story masonry structure with basement. The city hall was built in 1897–1898. It features a mansard roof and prominent cupola.The city hall is located within the boundaries of the Court Street Historic District.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. In 1972 the city government moved to Government Plaza. After sitting vacant for a decade, The building was converted to a hotel, and in 2020 to apartments.

Government Plaza is a building complex in Binghamton, New York containing the offices for the City of Binghamton, Broome County and New York State. The complex is located in Downtown Binghamton on the block bounded by State, Hawley, Isbell and Susquehanna streets. It was constructed as part of a massive urban renewal plan in Binghamton through the late 1960s and early 1970s. Government Plaza is composed of three buildings which come together to form a U-shaped complex: the towering 18-story State Office Building, which is the tallest building in the Southern Tier region of New York the Edwin L. Crawford County Office Building, which forms the east-wing of the complex Binghamton City Hall, which forms the west-wing.The complex includes an underground two-level parking structure. An elevated plaza that originally led to the second-story lobby of the State Office Building was torn down in the mid-1990s due to deterioration and increasing maintenance costs.

Visions Veterans Memorial Arena (formerly known as the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena and Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena) is a 7,200-seat multi-purpose arena in Binghamton, New York. The arena was completed in 1973, providing an entertainment venue for residents of the Greater Binghamton area. The arena has eight luxury suites that each hold 25 fans (200 total). A longtime home to minor league hockey, the arena is home to the Binghamton Black Bears of the Federal Prospects Hockey League.

Christ Church is a historic Episcopal church located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. It is a one-story bluestone structure with Gothic Revival elements. The church consists of a rectangular central section housing the nave and aisles, an apse and bell tower on the east facade, and side entrances through transepts on the north and south elevations. It was built between 1853 and 1855 and was designed by noted church architect Richard Upjohn, (1802-1878).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places maintained by the U.S. Department of the Interior's National Park Service in 1974.

State Street–Henry Street Historic District is a national historic district located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. The district includes 20 contributing buildings. The district lies north of the central business district in an area long associated with small manufacturing and commercial establishments. The majority of the buildings were built in the late 19th or early 20th century and all but two are built of brick with an average height of four stories. Located within the district is the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

WXXW-LP (channel 6) was a low-power television station in Binghamton, New York, United States. The station was owned by the Johnson Broadcasting Company (unrelated to the Houston-based broadcaster). WXXW-LP operated as a "Franken-FM," an analog television station that took advantage of the NTSC standard, in which the audio feed can be tuned in on any analog FM radio at the proper frequency; for channel 6, the frequency is 87.75 MHz, just below the FM band. As such, WXXW-LP was programmed as a radio station at 87.7 with an urban oldies format billed as "Passion Radio." WXXW-LP ceased broadcasting on or shortly before July 13, 2021, the date set by the Federal Communications Commission for all remaining low-power television stations to cease broadcasting in analog. Johnson Broadcasting Company held a construction permit to return to the air on the same channel 6. WXXW-LP's license was canceled on July 8, 2022, due to the station failing to file an application for digital operation prior to the expiration of its construction permit.

Binghamton ( BING-əm-tən) is a city in the U.S. state of New York, and serves as the county seat of Broome County. Surrounded by rolling hills, it lies in the state's Southern Tier region near the Pennsylvania border, in a bowl-shaped valley at the confluence of the Susquehanna and Chenango Rivers. Binghamton is the principal city and cultural center of the Binghamton metropolitan area (also known as Greater Binghamton, or historically the Triple Cities, including Endicott and Johnson City), home to a quarter million people. The city's population, according to the 2020 census, is 47,969.From the days of the railroad, Binghamton was a transportation crossroads and a manufacturing center, and has been known at different times for the production of cigars, shoes, and computers. IBM was founded nearby, and the flight simulator was invented in the city, leading to a notable concentration of electronics- and defense-oriented firms. This sustained economic prosperity earned Binghamton the moniker of the Valley of Opportunity. However, starting with job cuts made by defense firms towards the end of the Cold War, the region lost a large part of its manufacturing industry.Today, while there is a continued concentration of high-tech firms, Binghamton is emerging as a healthcare- and education-focused city, with Binghamton University acting as much of the driving force behind this revitalization.

Cutler Botanic Garden (3.5 acres) is a botanical garden located at 840 Front Street, Binghamton, New York. It is open daily, without charge.The garden was established by Miss Frances Cutler, who donated land to the Cornell University Cooperative Extension. In 1978 the idea began for a botanical garden, and the garden opened to the public in 1979. Today, the Garden is an outdoor classroom for teaching horticulture and environmentalism, as well as a display garden for All-American Selections.

The 1913 Binghamton factory fire occurred on July 22, 1913, on the premises of the Binghamton Clothing Company, in Binghamton, New York. It destroyed the Wall Street building in less than 20 minutes, killing 31 of the more than 100 people inside. Though not as deadly as the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire in 1911, it put even more pressure on New York officials to strengthen life safety codes, increase funding for more inspectors, and increase penalties for violations.

The Alfred Dunk House (also known as the Brinker House) is a historic house located in Binghamton, Broome County, New York.

The Court Street Bridge is a combined motor vehicle and pedestrian crossing which spans the Chenango River in the New York State city of Binghamton. The bridge carries U.S. Route 11 and connects Court Street and Downtown Binghamton with Main Street and its West Side neighborhood.
