Yates County Courthouse Park District

The Yates County Genealogical and Historical Society focuses on the history of Yates County, New York. It operates the Yates History Center, which consists of three museums in the village of Penn Yan, New York: the 19th century period Oliver House Museum, the L. Caroline Underwood Museum with historic decorative arts items and displays of local history, and the adjacent Scherer Carriage House which features exhibits about the local evangelist known as the Public Universal Friend.

US Post Office-Penn Yan is a historic post office building located at Penn Yan in Yates County, New York. It was designed and built in 1912–1913 and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, James Knox Taylor. It is a symmetrically massed, 1+1⁄2-story red brick structure on a granite-clad raised basement in the Colonial Revival style. It is a contributing element in the Penn Yan Historic District. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Penn Yan is an incorporated village and the county seat of Yates County, New York, United States. The population was 5,159 at the 2010 census. It lies at the north end of the east branch of Keuka Lake, one of the Finger Lakes. Penn Yan, New York is home to one of the oldest mills in the United States, The Birkett Mills, founded in 1797. The Village of Penn Yan is primarily in the Town of Milo, but a small section is in the Town of Benton. A smaller section is in the Town of Jerusalem. The Penn Yan Airport is south of the village. The name "Penn Yan" is a syllabic abbreviation of "Pennsylvania Yankee". It houses the Penn Yan Central School District.

Penn Yan Historic District is a national historic district located at Penn Yan in Yates County, New York. The district consists of 65 acres (26 ha) and contains 281 structures, 210 of which are contributing. It includes a broad range of architecturally significant resources that document the village's development from the 1820s to 1929. It includes representative examples of residential, commercial, industrial, civic, and ecclesiastical structures. Highlights include the Birkett Mills, the Chronicle Building, Knapp Hotel, and the Castner House. Located within the boundaries of the district are the separately listed Yates County Courthouse Park District and the U.S. Post Office building (1912–1913).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Sampson Theatre is a historic theater building located at Penn Yan in Yates County, New York. It was built in 1910, and is a three-story, poured in place, concrete building. It measures 60 feet wide and 100 feet deep and consists of two sections; a front auditorium section and a rear stage section. Both sections are covered by gambrel roofs. The theater was originally used for vaudeville and as a movie theater. In 1929, it was converted for use as a miniature golf course, and later was used as a warehouse for tires.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Roderick M. Morrison House, also known as Morrison-Wagener House, is a historic home located at Milo Center in Yates County, New York. It is a Roman Classical style structure built about 1825.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.Morrison was a lawyer from Virginia who moved to the area. George Wagner, the third owner of the home, is believed to have constructed the "secondary" wooden home attached to the main home's structure.

Charles Wagener House is a historic home located at Penn Yan in Yates County, New York. It is a Greek Revival style structure built about 1838.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Lake View Cemetery is a historic cemetery located at Penn Yan in Yates County, New York. It is a 50-acre (20 ha) cemetery property that includes wooded and open acres included in the cemetery's historic landscape plan and developed in two phases between about 1855 and 1906. The property includes the Abraham Wagener Memorial Chapel, a two-story brick Gothic Revival structure built in 1923–1924. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

William Swarthout Farm is a historic home located at Milo in Yates County, New York. This Greek Revival-style structure was built about 1850 and features the two-by-two-bay, 1+1⁄2-story central block and single-story wing with porch and entrance.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

YMCA Camp Lawrence Cory, better known as "YMCA Camp Cory" or simply "Camp Cory," is a resident-style summer camp in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. It was founded in 1892 and established at its current location in 1921. The name comes from Lt. H. Lawrence Cory, an American World War I soldier who was killed in action. Camp Cory is run by the YMCA and is certified by the American Camp Association (ACA). The 27-acre property is 2 miles (3.2 km) south of the village of Penn Yan, in the town of Milo, New York. It is about an hour south of Rochester, New York and about an hour and a half southwest of Syracuse, New York. The camp occupies a significant amount of waterfront property.
