The Freemasons Hotel is a heritage-listed hotel in Bridgetown, Western Australia. It is located at 2 Steere Street, at the corner of Hampton Street (South Western Highway).

The Shire of Bridgetown–Greenbushes is a local government area in the South West region of Western Australia, about 80 kilometres (50 mi) southeast of Bunbury and about 260 kilometres (162 mi) south of the state capital, Perth. The Shire covers an area of 1,340 square kilometres (517 sq mi), and its seat of government is the town of Bridgetown.

Bridgetown High School is a comprehensive public co-educational middle day school, located in Bridgetown, a regional centre in the South West region, 270 kilometres (168 mi) south of Perth, Western Australia. The school was established in 1954 as a high school catering for students from Year 7 to Year 10, and students who are to complete Year 11 and 12 travel to Manjimup Senior High School. Enrolments at the school were 138 in 2007, 151 in 2008, 155 in 2009, 133 in 2010, 125 in 2011 and 119 in 2012.

Glenlynn is a rural locality of the Shire of Bridgetown–Greenbushes in the South West region of Western Australia. The locality is located along the South Western Highway, which passes through it north to south. The Shire of Bridgetown–Greenbushes is located on the traditional land of the Bibulman (also spelled Bibbulmun or Pibelmen) and Wardandi (also spelled Wadandi) people, both of the Noongar nation. In the south-west of the locality of Glenlynn, some talc mining was carried out between 1942 and 1951, with 514 tonnes of talc produced. Glenlynn was a siding on the Picton to Northcliffe railway opened in 1911, originally named Lights, renamed to Nairnup in 1911 and renamed again, now to Glenlynn, in 1913, until closed in 1967.

Hester Brook is a rural locality of the Shire of Bridgetown–Greenbushes in the South West region of Western Australia. Hester Brook is located on the South Western Highway, which passes through its north-eastern part. The Blackwood River forms the south-western border of the locality. The Shire of Bridgetown–Greenbushes is located on the traditional land of the Bibulman (also spelled Bibbulmun or Pibelmen) and Wardandi (also spelled Wadandi) people, both of the Noongar nation. The heritage-listed Peninsula House, a homestead dating back to 1920, is located in Hester Brook, overlooking a bend in the Blackwood River. An earlier cottage at the location, dating back to 1890, was destroyed in a bushfire in 2009. A second heritage-listed building, Parkville, also overlooking a bend in the river, dates back to 1900. An older dwelling at the site, built a decade earlier, is now used as a tool shed.

Hester is a small town in the South West region of Western Australia, 7 km north of Bridgetown on the railway. It was gazetted a townsite in 1899, and was originally a siding on the Donnybrook to Bridgetown railway, opened in 1898. The town derives its name from the nearby Hester Brook, a name first recorded by surveyor John Forrest in 1866. Hester Brook is named after Edward Godfrey Hester, an early settler (late 1850s) of the Bridgetown district.

Kangaroo Gully is a rural locality of the Shire of Bridgetown–Greenbushes in the South West region of Western Australia, located adjacent to Bridgetown. The Blackwood River forms the southern border of the locality. The Shire of Bridgetown–Greenbushes is located on the traditional land of the Bibulman (also spelled Bibbulmun or Pibelmen) and Wardandi (also spelled Wadandi) people, both of the Noongar nation.
