Gannett Building

City Hall is a former Rochester Industrial and Rapid Transit Railway station located in Rochester, New York. It was closed in 1956 along with the rest of the line.The station was in the former Erie Canal tunnel under West Broad Street in front of City Hall and the Times Square Building. Beside each building there were covered stairwells to provide access between street level and both ends of the platform. The Rochester, Lockport and Buffalo Railroad Interurban line used this station as its eastern terminus from the opening of the subway until 1931 when the line became defunct. The Rochester, Syracuse and Eastern used the station as its western terminus. Passengers could transfer between the BL&R, Rochester & Eastern and the subway at this station. The Broad Street Tunnel Project rehabilitated this section of the tunnel west of Exchange Boulevard in 2011 and paved the street. The subway tunnel between Main Street and Brown Street was filled in.

The Times Square Building is an Art Deco skyscraper designed by Ralph Thomas Walker of the firm Voorhees, Gmelin, and Walker located in Rochester, New York, United States. At 260 feet (79 m), it is the eighth-tallest building in Rochester, with 14 floors. The former Genesee Valley Trust Building is a streamlined twelve-story building supporting four aluminum wings 42 feet (13 m) high, known as the "Wings of Progress", each weighing 12,000 pounds (5,400 kg). These structures are among the most distinctive features of the Rochester skyline. The trompe-l’oeil style is used for the decor throughout the building's interior and features various depictions of stylized wheat in reference to Rochester's presence as "the flour city". The building originally hosted a Depression era mural by Carl William Peters (1897-1980) on exhibit from its opening that was later destroyed.The cornerstone of this bank was laid on October 29, 1929, "Black Tuesday" of the 1929 stock market crash.

Central Trust Bank Building is a historic bank building located in downtown Rochester, Monroe County, New York. It was built in 1959, and is a five-story, International Style building with a flat roof. It features a continuous metal and glass curtain wall on the south facade. Originally three-stories, two additional stories were added in 1964. In 1968, a two-story addition along with a sheltered drive-up banking window were added.: 5, 8 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Wilder Building is a historic office building located in Rochester, New York. It is an eleven-story steel or iron framed brick clad structure built between 1887 and 1888 in a modified Romanesque style. It is considered Rochester's first modern skyscraper, and is considered to be among the oldest of the early skyscrapers. It was designed by noted Rochester architects Warner & Brockett.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.The Wilder Building originally contained spires at each corner of its roof, but they have since been removed.

Ebenezer Watts House is a historic home located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It was built between 1825 and 1827 and remodelled in the 1850s. It is a two-story brick structure with a hipped roof and cupola in the Italianate style. It features a Federal style entrance and interior. It is the oldest surviving residence in downtown Rochester.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

City Hall Historic District is a national historic district located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The district consists of four buildings arranged in a 19th-century civic complex. The buildings are the Rochester City Hall (1874–1875), Monroe County Courthouse (1894–1896), Rochester Free Academy (1872–1873), and St. Luke's Episcopal Church (1824). Andrew Jackson Warner designed the City Hall and Free Academy buildings. His son, J. Foster Warner, designed the Monroe County Courthouse. The National Register of Historic Places listed it in 1974.

Blue Cross Arena, also known as the War Memorial, is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Rochester, New York. For hockey and lacrosse, its seating capacity is 10,662. The arena opened on October 18, 1955, as the Rochester Community War Memorial. It was renovated in the mid-1990s and reopened as The Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial, on September 18, 1998. It is home to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League and the Rochester Knighthawks of the National Lacrosse League.

The Court–Exchange Building (formerly the National Casket Company building) is a historic industrial and commercial building located at 142 Exchange Street (at the corner of Court Street) in Rochester, New York. It is a six-story brick structure with Richardsonian Romanesque details designed by Harvey Ellis and built in 1881 for Samuel Stein, a local manufacturer of wooden caskets. When Stein retired in 1890, he sold his business to the National Casket Company. The building was used until 1984 to manufacture, display, and warehouse caskets.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Powers Building is a historic office building located in Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It was built in 1869 and is a nine-story, 165-by-171-foot (50 by 52 m) building, laid out around a large open stairwell in the center. It features a triple mansard roof and observation tower which were added after initial construction, between 1873 and 1888, by Daniel Powers to maintain its standing as the tallest building in Rochester. It was designed by noted Rochester architect Andrew Jackson Warner.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. In 2019, the adjacent Powers Hotel was also added to the listing.

The Talman Building is a historic site at 25 E. Main Street, Rochester, New York, used as an office by Frederick Douglass in editing and publishing the abolitionist journal, The North Star from 1847 to 1863.It was also a stop on the Underground Railroad, and Douglass gave asylum to many traveling fugitives, of which at least one party was led by Harriet Tubman. It is named the Talman Building (also listed as the Talman Hall) after John T. Talman purchased the plot in 1839. The earliest known photograph of the Talman Building is one showing a celebration for the end of the Civil War. The "mansard roof", named after the chief architect of King Louis XIV, Jules Hardouin-Mansard, was added in 1866 and removed in 1915. Its modern appearance comes from its renovation in 1915, reflecting the “Chicago school” influence—one of functionality. The façade was added by the Central Bank of Rochester in 1922. The basement served as a fallout shelter during the Cold War.

The Elwood Building was built in 1879 for a Rochester lawyer Frank W. Elwood, whose family owned the property. The Elwood Building was the first building to have a mail chute, which was installed in 1884 by James Goold Cutler, the inventor of the mail chute.
