The Museum of the Great Patriotic War, also known as the Victory Museum (Russian: Музей Победы), is a history museum located in Moscow at Poklonnaya Gora. The building was designed by architect Anatoly Polyansky. Work on the museum began on March 3, 1986, and the museum was opened to the public on May 9, 1995. The museum features exhibits and memorials concerning the Eastern Front of World War II, known in Russia as the "Great Patriotic War".

Kutuzovsky Prospekt (Russian: Куту́зовский проспе́кт) is a major radial avenue in Moscow, Russia, named after Mikhail Illarionovich Kutuzov, leader of the Russian field army during the French invasion of Russia. The prospekt continues a westward path of Vozdvizhenka Street and New Arbat Street from Novoarbatsky Bridge over the Moskva River to the junction with Rublyovskoye Shosse; past this point, the route changes its name to Mozhaiskoye Shosse.

The World War II Soviet submarine L-3 belonged to the L-class or Leninets class of minelayer submarines. It had been named Bolshevik and later Frunzenets, before it was decided that submarines should stop having names and carry numbers instead.Under Captain of the 3rd Rank Vladimir Konovalov, L-3 was one of the most successful Soviet submarines of World War II. On 16 April 1945, it sank the German refugee transport MV Goya, an event that (if calculated by loss of life) is deemed to be one of the worst marine disasters ever, when 6,000 to 7,000 people died in the icy waters of the Baltic Sea. After the dismantling of the submarine, part of it was used as the monument in Liepāja, though the monument was relocated to Moscow in 1995. Today, the conning tower of L-3 is on display in Moscow as a monument in Park Pobedy ("Victory Park") at Poklonnaya Gora museum. Mines laid by L-3 also damaged the German sailing vessel Albert Leo Schlageter (1634 GRT) and the German icebreaker Pollux (4191 GRT).L-3 is the twelfth-highest-scoring Soviet submarine (not counting ships sunk by mines she laid), with 10,722 GRT sunk.

On 15 July 2014, at around 8:40 am MSK (UTC+04:00), an outbound Moscow Metro train derailed between Park Pobedy and Slavyansky Bulvar stations of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya Line. Casualties reported include 24 dead and 160 injured. Early reports suggested a power surge or a terrorist attack to be the cause of the derailment, but both were soon dismissed. This accident was the deadliest ever recorded in the history of the Moscow metro system, and the second to occur due to a technical failure (after the 1982 Aviamotornaya escalator accident).

Shch-307 was a Shchuka-class submarine of the Soviet Navy. Her keel was laid down by Baltiyskiy Zavod in Leningrad on 6 November 1933. She was launched on 1 August 1934 and commissioned on 4 August 1935 in the Baltic Fleet.

The Holocaust Memorial Synagogue (Russian: Московская Мемориальная синагога; Hebrew: בית הכנסת לזכר השואה) is a synagogue located on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow. It was built in 1998 to complement an Orthodox church and a mosque that are also part of the outdoor museum dedicated to Russia's victory in World War II.

Gorbúshka (Russian: ТЦ "Горбушка", shopping center Gorbushka) is a marketplace for dealing in music, electronics and household equipment in Moscow, Russia. The word itself is an associative usage of an untranslatable Russian word for the first slice from a loaf of bread which contains mostly the crust. If the loaf is round, the shape resembles a hump (Russian: горб). The word has many cultural associations in Russia. Before the year 2001 the name "Gorbushka" referred to an open-air black market for software, music, videos and electronics. The market was in the city square by the Gorbunov Palace of Culture ( ДК имени Горбунова), hence the name. The market dealt mostly in unlicensed music and software CDs, videos, gaming consoles with mod chips, as well as video games. Due to the copyright infringement issues Gorbushka was in sights of the government for a long time. The market closed in 2001. In its place a more legal shopping center Gorbushkin dvor was opened. Alexey Khotin is reported to own the company now.

The Round Houses in Moscow are nine-floors residential buildings built circularly, in Western Moscow in 1970, according to a project by architect Yevgeny Stamo and engineer Aleksandr Markelov. They are located at 55°43′21″N 37°30′49″E and 55°42′26″N 37°28′14″E They were built in a very different design from the regular "panel block" houses of that era.The diameter of the structure is 155 meters (around 500 feet). It has 26 entrances, 913 apartments and six big archways to enter the courtyard. The first floor of the building contained pharmacies, shops, hair salons, a laundry and tailor shop, also a children's club, and even a library. The isolated courtyard has its own park, with playgrounds for kids and feels like it is a long way away from the busy town. The rooms here are not rectangular but more like trapezoids, which makes it harder to place furniture.Also the courtyard has bad acoustics – a small noise echoes a lot, it bounces from the walls making it noisy at night if something is happening in the courtyard.

Minskaya (Russian: Минская) is a station of the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya Line of the Moscow Metro between Lomonosovsky Prospekt and Park Pobedy. The station was opened on 16 March 2017 as a part of the stretch between Park Pobedy and Ramenki.

Park Pobedy (Russian: Парк Победы, lit. 'Victory Park') is a station of the Moscow Metro in the city's Dorogomilovo District. It is on two lines: the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line and the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line. At 84 metres (276 ft) underground, according to the official figures, it is the deepest metro station in Moscow and one of the deepest in the world (after Kyiv Metro's Arsenalna, Chongqing Rail Transit's Hongtudi station and Saint Petersburg Metro's Admiralteyskaya).

The third and the oldest surviving Triumphal Arch in Moscow was built in 1829–34 on Tverskaya Zastava Square to Joseph Bové's designs in order to commemorate Imperial Russia's victory over Napoleon. It replaced an earlier wooden structure built by the veterans of the Napoleonic Wars in 1814.The arch was built in brick and lined with ashlar. The columns and statues were of cast iron. A seiuga (six-horse chariot) was designed by Giovanni Vitali. The bilingual inscription in Russian and Latin ran as follows: To the blessed memory of Alexander I who raised from ashes and adorned with many memorials of paternal care this former capital that had been committed to the mercy of fire during the invasion of the Gauls and twelve other nations. The arch was dismantled in 1936 as part of Joseph Stalin's reconstruction of downtown Moscow. Vitali's sculptures were then put on exhibit at an architectural museum on the grounds of the former Donskoy Monastery. After the Second World War there were plans to rebuild the structure in front of the Belorussky railway station.The current arch was built to Bove's original designs in 1966–68 in the middle of Kutuzovsky Avenue, close to the Victory Park. An open space surrounding the arch is known as the Victory Square.

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Moscow is the diplomatic mission of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Russian Federation. It is located at 4, Ulof Palme St., in the Khamovniki District of central Moscow. His Excellency Mohamed Ahmed Al Jaber is the current ambassador, a post held since November 2020.
