El Arenal is a neighbourhood in the historical centre of Seville, the Casco Antiguo. It lies on the east bank of the Guadalquivir river to the west of the old Jewish Quarter, Santa Cruz, and south of the neighbourhoods of Museo and Alfalfa. Its name comes from the sandy nature that this east bank of the river once used to have. El Arenal has a history characterised by its former position as the port of Seville, until river silting forced the city to relocate the port to the southern edge of the city in the 17th century. In the 16th century, the district called El Compás de Arenal, El Compás, or El Arenal was smaller than that of today and lay between the city walls and the river between the Puerta del Arenal, and the Puerta del Triana gates. The Torre del Oro (Arabic: بُرْج الذَّهَب, romanized: burj aḏẖ-ḏẖahab, lit. 'Tower of Gold') is a dodecagonal military watchtower in Seville, southern Spain. It was erected by the Almohad Caliphate in order to control access to Seville via the Guadalquivir river. Constructed in the first third of the 13th century, the tower served as a prison during the Middle Ages. Its name comes from the golden shine it projected on the river, due to its building materials (a mixture of mortar, lime and pressed hay). The tower is divided into three levels, the first level, dodecagonal, was built in 1220 by order of the Almohad governor of Seville, Abù l-Ulà; As for the second level, of only 8 meters, also dodecagonal, was built by Peter of Castile in the fourteenth century, a hypothesis that has been confirmed by archaeological studies; The third and uppermost being circular in shape was added after the previous third level, Almohad, was damaged by the 1755 Lisbon earthquake. Rebuilding of the third level was made by Brusselian military engineer Sebastian Van der Borcht in 1760. The Torre de la Plata, an octagonal tower, is located nearby, and is believed to have been constructed during the same era.

The Hospital de la Caridad in Seville, Spain is a baroque charity hospital building near Plaza de toros de la Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla. The charity hospital was founded in 1674, and still cares for the aged and infirm. The hospital's chapel is open to the public and "contains some of Seville's most sumptuous baroque sculpture."

The Seville Shipyards (Spanish: Atarazanas de Sevilla) is a medieval shipyard in the city of Seville (Andalusia, Spain). They were operative between the 13th and 15th centuries, and are built in Gothic style. They were specialized in the construction of galleys, which played an important role in the struggles for the control of the Strait of Gibraltar, as well as in the Castilian participation in the Hundred Years' War. The complex consisted of a building with seventeen naves next to a large sandy area that reached to the edge of the Guadalquivir River. On March 13, 1969, the State declares Monumento Histórico Artístico to the Shipyards, and on June 18, 1985 the degree of protection of the property declaring the Maestranza de Artillería de Sevilla (which occupies the seven naves that are conserved and other structures, such as a front pavilion) Bien de Interés Cultural in the Monument category.

The Plaza de toros de la Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla is a 12,000-capacity bullring in Seville, Spain. During the annual Seville Fair in Seville, it is the site of one of the most well-known bullfighting festivals in the world. It is a part of the Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla, a noble guild established for traditional cavalry training. The ring itself is considered one of the city's most enjoyable tourist attractions and is certainly one of the most visited. As a stage for bullfighting, it is considered one of the world's most challenging environments because of its history, characteristics, and viewing public, which is considered one of the most unforgiving in all of bullfighting fandom.

Puerta Jerez (English: Jerez Gate) is a station of the Seville Metro on the line 1. It is also, a tram stop of the MetroCetro line. It is located at the intersection of Paseo de Cristina Av. and Almirante Lobo St., in the district of Casco Antiguo. Puerta Jerez is an underground station, so far, it is the nearest at historic centre of the city. This centric station is located between Plaza de Cuba and Prado de San Sebastián on the same line. It was opened on 16 September 2009.

Plaza de Cuba (English: Cuba Square) is a station of the Seville Metro on the line 1. It is located at the intersection of the avenue of República Argentina and Asunción St., in the neighborhood of Los Remedios. Plaza de Cuba is an underground station, located between Parque de los Príncipes and Puerta Jerez stations on the same line. It was opened on 2 April 2009.

Avenida de la Constitución is an important avenue in the Casco Antiguo district of Seville, Andalusia, Spain. It starts from the square known as Puerta de Jerez and reaches the Plaza Nueva, considered the center of the city and where the historic building of the Seville City Council is located. It has a length of 600 m (0.37 mi).

The Chapel of Antiguo Seminario Santa María de Jesús (Spanish: Capilla del Antiguo Seminario Santa María de Jesús) is a chapel located in Sevilla, Spain. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1901.

The Palace of San Telmo (Spanish: Palacio de San Telmo) is a historical edifice in Seville, southern Spain, formerly the Universidad de Mareantes (a university for navigators), now is the seat of the presidency of the Andalusian Autonomous Government. Construction of the building began in 1682 outside the walls of the city, on property belonging to the Tribunal of the Holy Office, the institution responsible for the Spanish Inquisition. It was originally constructed as the seat of the University of Navigators (Universidad de Mareantes), a school to educate orphaned children and train them as sailors.

Plaza Nueva is a public square in the city center of Seville, Spain, which contains Seville city hall. The land the plaza is built on was formerly part of the San Fernando convent from 1270-1840. The land was later acquired by the local government and converted into a public square. The plaza was completed in 1856.
