St. Benedict's Church (Stamford, Connecticut)

The East Side of Stamford is a neighborhood in the city of Stamford, Connecticut. Per the city government's definition, the East Side lies directly to the east of Downtown, southeast of Glenbrook, north of The Cove, and to the west of Darien. The East Side serves as the headquarters for a number of corporations, such as World Wrestling Entertainment and NBC Sports, and hosts corporate offices for a number of large multinationals, such as that of Deloitte at 695 East Main Street. A branch of the Hospital for Special Surgery is located in the East Side, on Blachley Road. Interstate 95 runs through the neighborhood, as does a segment of the Post Road.

Shippan is an affluent section of the city of Stamford, Connecticut. The Shippan section borders several other neighborhoods: to the south is Shippan Point, to the west is the South End, to the north is Downtown, to the northeast is the East Side, and to the east is The Cove. A few years ago, a few residents of Shippan Point (a section of Shippan) went to the mayor and asked to make Shippan a town itself, separated from Stamford. This idea was rejected by the mayor of Stamford. The Shippan area includes Shippan Avenue, Elm Street and the smaller streets nearby. The area south of the intersection of Shippan Avenue and Magee Avenue is considered the Shippan Point neighborhood. To the north, the Metro-North train tracks and Interstate 95 separate Shippan from Downtown Stamford.

It serves the Stamford-Norwalk area with a non-commercial, listener-supported news/talk radio format, simulcast with co-owned WSHU 1260 AM Westport, Connecticut. The Zion Lutheran Church is a historic Lutheran church building at 132 Glenbrook Road in Stamford, Connecticut. The red brick Gothic Revival structure was built in 1925 by a German immigrant congregation founded in 1897. It is the city's only red brick church. The main facade is dominated by a square tower on the right, which rises only to the height of the roof gable on the left. The gable stands above a large quadruple window set in a slightly pointed arch, which stands above the main entrance, which is recessed in an arched opening.The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

St. Mary's is a cathedral-style church located at 566 Elm Street in Stamford, Connecticut. The church is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport. The main building is a Gothic Revival structure, designed by Francis L. S. Mayers and completed about 1928. It is an elegant example of French Gothic architecture, notable for the large rose window in the front-facing gable end. The rectory is a c. 1860 Italianate villa, originally built for a member of the locally prominent Wardwell family.The complex was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

St. John's Protestant Episcopal Church is an historic church located at 628 Main Street in Stamford, Connecticut. The church is an English Gothic Revival structure, built in 1891 to a design by William Potter. It has buttressed stone construction, with a compound-arch entry and a large rose stained-glass window. The associated parish house, also a Gothic Victorian structure, was designed by Richard M. Upjohn and built in 1869–72.
